 PLAN REVIEW RESULTS: DENIED.
  
 1) THE USE OF FLAMEBAR DUCT TO CREATE CONTINUOUS
 VERTICAL AND HORIZONTAL FIRE-RATED SHAFTS FOR SMOKE
 CONTROL AND TOILET AND KITCHEN EXHAUST SYSTEMS WILL
 REQUIRE AN ALTERNATE MATERIALS AND METHOD APPROVAL BY
 THE BUILDING OFFICIAL. THERE ARE NO PROVISIONS IN
 EITHER THE FLORIDA BUILDING CODE- 2010, OR THE FIFTH
 EDITION FLORIDA BUILDING CODE- 2014 THAT ALLOW FOR THE
 USE OF FLAMEBAR DUCT IN THESE APPLICATIONS- SEE
 SECTIONS 708 (2010) OR 713 (2014) SHAFT ENCLOSURES.
 ADDITIONALLY THE USE OF FLAMEBAR DUCT FOR THE SMOKE
 CONTROL SYSTEMS IS NOT SPECIFIED IN THE SUBMITTED
 RATIONAL ANALYSIS REPORT FOR THE THE BRISTOL BY SLS
 FIRE PROTECTION ENGINEERS. PLEASE SEE PAGE 20 OF THE
 REPORT WHICH STATES SPECIFICALLY THAT THE DUCTS WILL BE
 ENCLOSED IN 2-HR. FIRE-RESISTANCE RATED CONSTRUCTION
 AND ARE ONLY REQUIRED TO BE RATED FOR EXPOSURE TO
 OUTSIDE AIR TEMPERATURES. THE FBC-10 AND 14 EDITIONS DO
 ALLOW FOR AN APPROVAL TO USE THE DUCTS UNDER SECTION
 104.11 ALTERNATE MATERIALS, DESIGN AND METHODS OF
 CONSTRUCTION AND EQUIPMENT. IT IS THE TASK OF THE
 DESIGN PROFESSIONAL OF RECORD HOWEVER TO PROVIDE
 SUPPORTING EVIDENCE, REPORTS, AND TESTING DATA AND
 SUBMIT A REQUEST TO THE BUILDING OFFICIAL FOR AN
 APPROVAL. ADDITIONALLY, PLEASE SEE SECTION 703 FIRE
 RESISTANCE RATINGS AND FIRE TESTS FOR ASTM AND UL
 LISTING AND ASSEMBLY INFORMATION.
  
 2) IT APPEARS THAT ALL THE UPLOADED REVISED SHEETS FROM
 M2.01 TO M2.24 ARE MISSING IDENTIFICATION TAGS TO
 INDICATE THE LOCATIONS OF THE SMOKE EXHAUST SHAFTS SE-1
 & SE-2. PLEASE PROVIDE THE TAGS ON ALL RELEVANT SHEETS
 TO SHOW THE LOCATIONS.
  
 3) SHEETS M2.01 & M2.01: CONCERNING THE RELOCATED
 EXHAUST FLUE FOR THE DIESEL GENERATOR PLEASE PROVIDE A)
 THE TOTAL RUN LENGTH OF THE FLUE ON THE PLANS. B)
 MANUFACTURER'S SPECIFICATIONS FOR THE GENERATOR, FLUE,
 AND THIMBLE. C) FLUE SIZING SCHEDULE FROM THE
 MANUFACTURER. D) UL LISTING NUMBER AND ASSEMBLY DETAILS
 FOR THE FIRE-RATED FLUE ENCLOSURE.
  
 4) PROVIDE AC COOLING AND HEATING CALCULATIONS FOR THE
 NEW HEAT PUMPS AND AND REVISE THE ENERGY CALCULATIONS
 TO INCLUDE THE SYSTEMS- SECTION C403.2.1 FBC-14 ENERGY
 CONSERVATION.
  
 5) M2.01: THERE APPEARS TO BE MISSING FIRE DAMPERS
 WHERE THE MAIN MANICURE EXHAUST DUCT IS PENETRATING THE
 FIRE-RATED CORRIDOR WALL, AND WHERE THE NEW O/A DUCT IS
 PENETRATING THE RATED DOMESTIC WATER ROOM, POOL
 EQUIPMENT ROOM, AND CORRIDOR WALLS- SECTION 607.5.2.
  
 6) M2.02, SOUTH CORE: THERE APPEARS TO BE FIRE DAMPERS
 MISSING WHERE THE 10X10" DUCT IS PENETRATING THE
 FIRE-RATED JANITOR, FIRE VESTIBULE, AND ELEVATOR LOBBY
 WALLS.
  
 7) M2.02, SOUTH CORE: THERE APPEARS TO BE FIRE DAMPERS
 MISSING IN THE MEN?S AND WOMEN?S SPA WHERE DUCTS FROM
 THE NEW HEAT PUMPS AND OTHER SYSTEMS ARE PENETRATING
 THE FIRE-RATED MECHANICAL CLOSET WALLS.
  
 8) M2.05: MISSING FIRE DAMPERS AT DUCTS PENETRATING THE
 FIRE-RATED SMOKE EXHAUST SHAFTS IN THE NORTH AND SOUTH
 CORES. IF USING FLAMEBAR DUCT PLEASE LABEL THE DUCTS
 ACCORDINGLY. THE DAMPERS MAY NOT BE REQUIRED PENDING AN
 ALTERNATE APPROVAL BY THE BUILDING OFFICIAL.
  
 9) M2.0P1: THERE APPEAR TO BE TWO O/A DUCTS CONNECTING
 TO THE 1-TON HP IN THE UNISEX BATHROOM- THE DUCT
 RUNNING SOUTH APPEARS TO BE AN ERROR.
  
 10) M2.0P1: P-129 IS IDENTIFIED AS PACKING STATION ON
 THE PLAN SHEET AND VALET STATION ON THE LIFE SAFETY
 PLAN A0.31. PLEASE NOTE THAT OCCUPIED SPACES REQUIRE
 O/A AND NONE IS SHOWN IN THE ROOM ON THE MECHANICAL
 PLAN- SECTION 402.
  
 11) M2.0P1: A FIRE DAMPER IS REQUIRED FOR THE EXHAUST
 OUTLET OPENING IN THE NEW STORAGE ROOM IN THE SOUTH
 CORE.
  
 12) M.17- M.25: MISSING FIRE DAMPERS AT DUCTS
 PENETRATING THE FIRE-RATED SMOKE EXHAUST SHAFTS IN THE
 NORTH AND SOUTH CORES. IF USING FLAMEBAR DUCT PLEASE
 LABEL THE DUCTS ACCORDINGLY. THE DAMPERS MAY NOT BE
 REQUIRED PENDING AN ALTERNATE APPROVAL BY THE BUILDING
 OFFICIAL.
  
 13) M2.53A- M2.61B: PLEASE NOTE THESE ADVISORIES
 COMMENTS FOR THE RESIDENTIAL SUITES: A) DRYER EXHAUST
 DUCTS SHALL NOT RUN THROUGH PLENUMS- SECTION 504.4. B)
 AC CLOSETS SHALL BE CONSIDERED PLENUM CHAMBERS AND
 SHALL BE CONSTRUCTED WITH NON-COMBUSTIBLE MATERIALS
 INCLUDING THE CLOSET DOOR- SECTION C403.2.7.2 FBC-14
 ENERGY CONSERVATION. C) MATERIALS WITHIN PLENUMS.
 EXCEPT AS REQUIRED BY SECTIONS 602.2.1.1 THROUGH
 602.2.1.5, MATERIALS WITHIN PLENUMS SHALL BE
 NONCOMBUSTIBLE OR SHALL BE LISTED AND LABELED AS HAVING
 A FLAME SPREAD INDEX OF NOT MORE THAN 25 AND A
 SMOKE-DEVELOPED INDEX OF NOT MORE THAN 50 WHEN TESTED
 IN ACCORDANCE WITH ASTM E 84 OR UL 723. D) COMMERCIAL
 COOKING APPLIANCES AND GREASE EXHAUST SYSTEMS ARE
 PROHIBITED- SECTION 623.2 FBC-14 FUEL GAS, AND SECTION

 14) M5.07: THE NEW CONTROL DIAGRAM FOR THE PRIVATE
 GARAGE HP UNITS INDICATES O/A WILL BE PROVIDED TO THE
 SYSTEMS, HOWEVER THE MECHANICAL PLANS DO NOT INDICATE
 ANY O/A BEING PROVIDED- PLEASE CLARIFY.
