 CODE: FBC 5TH EDITION (2014).
  
 NOTE:
 BUILDING REVIEW MAY BE APPROVED WITH PROVISO. PROVISO
 MEANS THAT CONTRACTOR MAY SUBMIT REQUIRED INFORMATION
 AFTER THE PERMIT IS ISSUED BUT BEFORE INSPECTIONS TO
 AVOID CONFLICTS/DELAYS. FEES MAY APPLY. CONTRACTOR TO
 ADVICE IF PROVISO OPTION IS PREFERRED AT THIS TIME.
 CONTRACTOR TO SUBMIT SEPARATE PERMIT APPLICATION FOR
 THE GARAGE STRUCTURE BEFORE ISSUING ANY PERMITS.
  
 1- THERE ARE TWO SEPARATE STRUCTURES IN THIS PROPERTY.
 NEED A SEPARATE PERMIT APPLICATIONS FOR EACH STRUCTURE.
 ONE PERMIT APPLICATION FOR THE MAIN HOUSE AND THE OTHER
 ONE FOR THE GARAGE CONVERSION TO LIVABLE SPACE. SEC.
 105.1 CITY AMENDMENTS.
 NOTE: THERE ARE NOT ADDITIONAL FEES FOR THE REAR
 STRUCTURE PERMIT APPLICATIONS. FEES ARE ALREADY
 INCLUDED IN THE OVERALL SCOPE OF WORK IN THE ORIGINAL
 PERMIT APPLICATION. SEPARATE PERMIT APPLICATIONS ARE TO
 FACILITATE AND COORDINATE ALL THE INSPECTIONS AND FOR
 PROPER RECORD RETENTION FILES. CONTRACTOR MAY USE SAME
 PLANS FOR BOTH STRUCTURES.
 RESPONSE: REPEAT COMMENT. NOT ADDRESSED.
  
 2- PROPOSED CABANA ON THE EXISTING GARAGE: SHOW
 COMPLIANCE WITH THE HEATING REQUIREMENTS OF SEC. R303.9
 FBC-RESIDENTIAL. NOTE: PORTABLE UNITS ARE NOT ALLOWED.
 RESPONSE: INFORMATION ON THE TOP LEFT HAND SIDE AND
 CABANA FLOOR PLAN ON SHEET E-1 SHOW AN EXISTING A/C
 UNIT TO BE RELOCATED ABOVE THE DOUBLE FRENCH DOORS.
 PROVIDE DETAILS AND SPECIFICATIONS SHOWING HOW THE
 RELOCATED A/C UNIT IS GOING TO BE INSTALLED ABOVE THE
 NEW FRENCH DOORS. IT DOESN'T SEEM TO BE ENOUGH ROOM.
 SEC. 107.2.1 CITY AMENDMENTS.
  
 3- PROVIDE COMPLETE DETAILS AND SPECIFICATIONS FOR THE
 HANDRAILS SHOWING COMPLIANCE WITH THE LIVE LOADS OF
 TABLE R301.5 AND SPECIFICATIONS OF SEC. R311.7.8 AND
 SEC. R312.1 FBC-RESIDENTIAL. SPECIFY MATERIAL,
 FASTENERS, HEIGHT, PICKETS SPACING, ETC.
 RESPONSE: THE HANDRAILS WERE REMOVED. HANDRAILS CAN NOT
 BE REMOVED. SEE SECTION R311.7.8 FBC-RESIDENTIAL.
 PROVIDE COMPLETE DETAILS AND SPECIFICATIONS AS REQUIRED
 ON THE ORIGINAL COMMENT.
  
 PLEASE PROVIDE RESPONSE LETTER CLEARLY ADDRESSING EACH
 COMMENT TO EXPEDITE THE REVIEW PROCESS
 ****PLEASE INSERT ANY REVISED DRAWING AND REMOVE OLD
 DRAWING. DON'T STAPLE OLD DRAWINGS. SUBMIT OLD DRAWINGS
 FOR REFERENCE.
