 2014 EXISTING BUILDING CODE LEVEL II 701.3 COMPLIANCE.
 ALL NEW CONSTRUCTION ELEMENTS, COMPONENTS, SYSTEMS, AND
 SPACES SHALL COMPLY WITH THE REQUIREMENTS OF THE
 FLORIDA BUILDING CODE, BUILDING.

 1) SHEET A0.1.1. NOTE NUMBER 31 MAKES REFERENCE TO THE
 CITY OF MIAMI FIRE DEPARTMENT REGULATIONS. PLEASE
 UPDATE PLANS TO THE WEST PALM BEACH FIRE DEPARTMENT
 REGULATIONS. 107.2.1.3. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION IS
 REQUIRED.

 FOR BUILDINGS.
 107.3.5.1 COMMERCIAL BUILDINGS:
 107.3.5.1.1 BUILDING
 (3) MINIMUM TYPE OF CONSTRUCTION SHALL BE DETERMINED
 (SEE TABLE 503).

 3A) DOORS 202 & 216 ARE BOTH POCKET DOORS SHEET A2.01
 DOOR SCHEDULE AND HARDWARE GROUP LABELED # 9.
 THE HARDWARE GROUP WILL NEED TO SHOW COMPLIANCE
 WITH2014 FBC-ACCESSIBILITY CODE 404.2.7 DOOR AND GATE
 HARDWARE. WHERE SLIDING DOORS ARE IN THE FULLY OPEN
 POSITION, OPERATING HARDWARE SHALL BE EXPOSED AND
 USABLE FROM BOTH SIDES.
 ADVISORY 404.2.7 DOOR AND GATE HARDWARE. DOOR HARDWARE
 THAT CAN BE OPERATED WITH A CLOSED FIST OR A LOOSE GRIP
 ACCOMMODATES THE GREATEST RANGE OF USERS. HARDWARE THAT
 REQUIRES SIMULTANEOUS HAND AND FINGER MOVEMENTS REQUIRE
 GREATER DEXTERITY AND COORDINATION, AND IS NOT
 RECOMMENDED.
  
 3B) PRIVATE RESTROOMS 215 AND 225 ARE TO BE CONSIDERED
 ADAPTABLE THE PLANS WILL NEED TO SHOW COMPLIANCE WITH
 THE ACCESSIBILITY CODE 604.5 GRAB BARS EXCEPTION # 1.
 GRAB BARS SHALL NOT BE REQUIRED TO BE INSTALLED IN A
 TOILET ROOM FOR A SINGLE OCCUPANT ACCESSED ONLY THROUGH
 A PRIVATE OFFICE AND NOT FOR COMMON USE OR PUBLIC USE
 PROVIDED THAT REINFORCEMENT HAS BEEN INSTALLED IN WALLS
 AND LOCATED SO AS TO PERMIT THE INSTALLATION OF GRAB
 BARS COMPLYING WITH 604.5.
 ACCESSIBILITY CODE 609.4 POSITION OF GRAB BARS. 609.8
 STRUCTURAL STRENGTH.
 ALLOWABLE STRESSES SHALL NOT BE EXCEEDED FOR MATERIALS
 USED WHEN A VERTICAL OR HORIZONTAL FORCE OF 250 POUNDS
 IS APPLIED AT ANY POINT ON THE GRAB BAR, FASTENER,
 MOUNTING DEVICE, OR SUPPORTING STRUCTURE.
  
 3C) PRIVATE RESTROOMS 215 AND 225 ARE TO BE CONSIDERED
 ADAPTABLE THE PLANS WILL NEED TO SHOW COMPLIANCE WITH
 THE ACCESSIBILITY CODE 604.3.1 (SIZE / CLEARANCE AROUND
 THE WATER CLOSET, 60 INCHES) & 604.3.2.(OVERLAP). WITH
 THE BATHROOMS BEING REQUIRED TO BE ADAPTABLE THE
 FIXTURE LAYOUT WILL NEED TO AND WASTE LINES WILL NEED
 TO BE INSTALLED AS IF AN ACCESSIBLE BATHROOM, TO BE
 CONSIDERED ADAPTABLE. FOR CHAPTER 6 FOR EACH CODE
 REQUIREMENT IF THERE IS AN EXCEPTION FOR PRIVATE
 BATHROOMS OR RESTROOMS THERE IS AN EXCEPTION STATING AS
 SUCH, NONE GIVEN FOR EITHER OF THE ABOVE CODE SECTIONS,
 MAKING THE LAYOUT OF FIXTURES WITH CLEARANCES A
 REQUIREMENT, BACKING A REQUIREMENT AND FIXTURE LOCATION
 A REQUIREMENT, TO MAKE THE UNIT AN ADAPTABLE UNIT.
  
 3D) PRIVATE RESTROOMS 215 AND 225 ARE TO BE CONSIDERED
 ADAPTABLE THE PLANS WILL NEED TO SHOW COMPLIANCE WITH
 THE ACCESSIBILITY CODE FOR A STANDARD ROLL-IN TYPE
 SHOWER COMPARTMENT.
 AGAIN FOR A ADAPTABLE SHOWER THE PLANS WILL NEED TO
 SHOW WHERE THE BACKING WILL BE PLACED FOR POSSIBLE
 FUTURE GRAB BARS INCOMPLIANCE WITH ACCESS. CODE 608.3
 EXCEPTION # 1.
  
 3E) PLEASE INDICATE HOW COMPLIANCE WITH EITHER 608.3.2
 STANDARD ROLL-IN TYPE SHOWER COMPARTMENTS OR 608.3.3
 ALTERNATE ROLL-IN TYPE SHOWER COMPARTMENTS WILL BE
 ACHIEVED.
  
 3F) PLEASE PROVIDE COMPLIANCE WITH THE SHOWER:
 608.5.2 STANDARD ROLL-IN TYPE SHOWER COMPARTMENTS. IN
 STANDARD ROLL-IN TYPE SHOWER COMPARTMENTS, THE
 CONTROLS, FAUCETS, AND SHOWER SPRAY UNIT SHALL BE
 LOCATED ABOVE THE GRAB BAR, BUT NO HIGHER THAN 48
 INCHES ABOVE THE SHOWER FLOOR. WHERE A SEAT IS

 SEAT. WHERE A SEAT IS NOT PROVIDED, THE CONTROLS,

 3G) 2014 ACCESSIBILITY CODE 608.7 THRESHOLDS.
 THRESHOLDS IN ROLL-IN TYPE SHOWER COMPARTMENTS SHALL BE
 1/2 INCH (13 MM) HIGH MAXIMUM IN ACCORDANCE WITH 303.
 IN TRANSFER TYPE SHOWER COMPARTMENTS, THRESHOLDS 1/2
 INCH (13 MM) HIGH MAXIMUM SHALL BE BEVELED, ROUNDED, OR
 VERTICAL.
