 ALL NEW CONSTRUCTION ELEMENTS, COMPONENTS, SYSTEMS, AND
 SPACES SHALL COMPLY WITH THE REQUIREMENTS OF THE
 FLORIDA BUILDING CODE, BUILDING.

 APPROXIMATELY 1375 SQ. FT. THE DOLLAR AMOUNT OF THE
 INCREASE FOR THIS REVISION
  
 3) SEMI- COMPLIED, COMPLIED WITH UL DESIGN U419. BOTH
 SHEETS A-101 & A-103 BOTH SHOW A WALL TYPE/ CHASE G
 WITH A UL LISTING U-404 SHEET A503. THIS LISTING IS FOR
 1 AND 2 HOUR FIRE RATED WALLS, NOT SHAFT CONSTRUCTION.
 THE PLANS AND COMMENT RESPONSE NAMES THE WALLS AS A
 CHASE BUT THE PLANS ALSO SHOW A RATING OF THE WALLS. A
 CHASE IS NOT RATED IT ENCLOSED FIRE RATED DUCT WORK
 WITH A FIRE RATED ASSEMBLY WHERE THE FIRE RATED DUCT
 PENETRATES THE FLOOR ASSEMBLY. THE MECHANICAL SHEET
 M1.1 NOTE 13 INDICATES THE KITCHEN EXHAUST DUCT IS TO
 BE UNDER SEPARATE PERMIT. THE FUTURE DUCT IS TO BE
 INSPECTED BEFORE BEING ENCLOSED IN THE CHASE, (AGAIN
 CHASES ARE NOT RATED, MEANING THE DUCT HAS TO BE FIRE
 RATED AND PENETRATIONS THROUGH THE HORIZONTAL FIRE
 BARRIER/ FLOOR ASSEMBLY). PLEASE PROVIDE THE CORRECT
 FIRE RATINGS AND TERMINOLOGY.
  
 THE ENCLOSURE AT THE BOTTOM OF THE SHAFT NEEDS TO
 COMPLY WITH FBC-B 713.11 ENCLOSURE AT THE BOTTOM.
 SHAFTS THAT DO NOT EXTEND TO THE BOTTOM OF THE BUILDING
 OR STRUCTURE SHALL COMPLY WITH ONE OF THE FOLLOWING:
 (1.) THEY SHALL BE ENCLOSED AT THE LOWEST LEVEL WITH
 CONSTRUCTION OF THE SAME FIRE-RESISTANCE RATING AS THE
 LOWEST FLOOR THROUGH WHICH THE SHAFT PASSES, BUT NOT
 LESS THAN THE RATING REQUIRED FOR THE SHAFT ENCLOSURE.
 (2.) THEY SHALL TERMINATE IN A ROOM HAVING A USE
 RELATED TO THE PURPOSE OF THE SHAFT. THE ROOM SHALL BE
 SEPARATED FROM THE REMAINDER OF THE BUILDING BY FIRE
 BARRIERS CONSTRUCTED IN ACCORDANCE WITH SECTION 707 OR
 HORIZONTAL ASSEMBLIES CONSTRUCTED IN ACCORDANCE WITH
 SECTION 711, OR BOTH. THE FIRE-RESISTANCE RATING AND
 OPENING PROTECTIVES SHALL BE AT LEAST EQUAL TO THE
 PROTECTION REQUIRED FOR THE SHAFT ENCLOSURE.
 PLEASE PROVIDE THE HORIZONTAL ASSEMBLY BETWEEN THE
 FLOOR JOIST AND WHERE THE SHAFT WALL STARTS.
  
 PLEASE ALSO REVIEW A SECTION FROM THE 2014 MECH. CODE.
 506.3.11.1 SHAFT ENCLOSURE. COMMERCIAL KITCHEN GREASE
 DUCTS CONSTRUCTED IN ACCORDANCE WITH SECTION 506.3.1
 SHALL BE PERMITTED TO BE ENCLOSED IN ACCORDANCE WITH
 THE FLORIDA BUILDING CODE, BUILDING REQUIREMENTS FOR
 SHAFT CONSTRUCTION. SUCH GREASE DUCT SYSTEMS AND
 EXHAUST EQUIPMENT SHALL HAVE A CLEARANCE TO COMBUSTIBLE
 CONSTRUCTION OF NOT LESS THAN 18 INCHES (457 MM), AND
 SHALL HAVE A CLEARANCE TO NONCOMBUSTIBLE CONSTRUCTION
 AND GYPSUM WALLBOARD ATTACHED TO NONCOMBUSTIBLE
 STRUCTURES OF NOT LESS THAN 6 INCHES (76 MM). DUCT
 ENCLOSURES SHALL BE SEALED AROUND THE DUCT AT THE POINT
 OF PENETRATION AND VENTED TO THE OUTSIDE OF THE
 BUILDING THROUGH THE USE OF WEATHER-PROTECTED OPENINGS.
  
  
 4)2ND REQUEST. BOTH SHEETS A-101 & A-103 SHOW AN
 OPENING SCHEDULE:
  
 4A) THE NEW WINDOW #8 IS NOW A SINGLE CASEMENT WINDOW
 SIZE SHOWN ON THE PLANS TO BE 3 FT.- 6 IN. X 3 FT.-4
 IN. WINDOW. THE DESIGNER OF RECORD SUBMITTED A COVER
 LETTER THAT THEY HAVE REVIEWED THE PRODUCT APPROVAL, A
 MIAMI-DADE NOA 16-0629.21. WHEN REVIEWING THIS PRODUCT
 APPROVAL ON SHEETS 6, 8, & 9 ARE THE SIZES FOR EACH
 GLASS TYPE. NONE OF THE GLASS TYPES WERE CIRCLED AS TO
 WHICH GLAZING SYSTEM WAS THE APPROVED GLAZING. THE 2ND
 ISSUE THE PLANS INDICATE A 42 INCH WIDE SINGLE CASEMENT
 WINDOW. PLEASE VIEW EACH OF THE LISTED SHEETS, THE
 LARGEST THEY MAKE IN A SINGLE GLAZED UNIT IS OUTSIDE
 DIMENSION 37 INCHES!!!
 IN THE VERTICAL MEASUREMENT THE PLANS CALLS FOR A 3 FT.
 4 IN. TALL WINDOW OR 40 INCHES. IN THE PRODUCT APPROVAL
 THE VERTICAL SIZES ARE 38 3/8 INCHES OR 48 INCHES.
 CORRECT TABLES ON A. 101 AND A.103. PROVIDE FROM THE
 MANUFACTURER COMPLIANCE WITH FBC-B 1029.2 MINIMUM SIZE.
 EMERGENCY ESCAPE AND RESCUE OPENINGS SHALL HAVE A
 MINIMUM NET CLEAR OPENING OF 5.7 SQUARE FEET.

 5) SHEET A-105:
  
 5A) 2ND REQUEST. THIS COMMENT DEALS WITH THE SHAFT
 ENCLOSURE AND HOW THE SHAFT WALL CONSTRUCTION WILL
 EITHER PENETRATE THE ROOF DECK OR STOP UNDER THE ROOF
 DECK. SHOW COMPLIANCE WITH: FBC-B 713.12 ENCLOSURE AT
 TOP. A SHAFT ENCLOSURE THAT DOES NOT EXTEND TO THE
 UNDERSIDE OF THE ROOF SHEATHING, DECK OR SLAB OF THE
 BUILDING SHALL BE ENCLOSED AT THE TOP WITH CONSTRUCTION
 OF THE SAME FIRE-RESISTANCE RATING AS THE TOPMOST FLOOR
 PENETRATED BY THE SHAFT, BUT NOT LESS THAN THE
 FIRE-RESISTANCE RATING REQUIRED FOR THE SHAFT
 ENCLOSURE.
 1ST ROUND COMMENTS. SHOWS THE EXHAUST DUCT UP THROUGH
 THE 2NS STORY ROOF. ON THE ISSUED SET OF PLANS THE
 MECHANICAL SHEET M.1.1 NOTE 13 INDICATED THAT THE
 FUTURE KITCHEN EXHAUST IS TO BE UNDER A SEPARATE
 PERMIT. TO DATE THERE HAS BEEN NO PRODUCT APPROVALS
 SUBMITTED FOR A ROOF TOP CURB NOR ANY STRUCTURAL
 DETAILS FOR THE FRAMING AROUND THE VOID WHERE THE
 EXHAUST DUCT WILL PENETRATE THE ROOF DECK.
 FOR ALL ROOF TOP EQUIPMENT, CURBS OR A/C STANDS,
 DETAILED ATTACHMENT TO THE ROOF FRAMING & DECK AS WELL
 AS FROM THE CURB OR ROOF STAND TO THE EQUIPMENT ABOVE.
  
 2014 FBC-B 1604.4 ANALYSIS. LOAD EFFECTS ON STRUCTURAL
 MEMBERS AND THEIR CONNECTIONS SHALL BE DETERMINED BY
 METHODS OF STRUCTURAL ANALYSIS THAT TAKE INTO ACCOUNT
 EQUILIBRIUM, GENERAL STABILITY, GEOMETRIC COMPATIBILITY
 AND BOTH SHORT- AND LONG-TERM MATERIAL PROPERTIES.
 EVERY STRUCTURE SHALL BE DESIGNED TO RESIST THE
 OVERTURNING EFFECTS CAUSED BY THE LATERAL FORCES
 SPECIFIED IN THIS CHAPTER. SEE SECTION 1609 FOR WIND
 LOADS.
  
 5B)2ND REQUEST. THE RESPONSE INDICATES THE ROOF TOP
 STAND NOA 16-0601.01 HAS BEEN REVIEWED. PLEASE NOTE
 NEITHER THE CONTRACTOR NOR DESIGNER OF RECORD HAS
 CIRCLED THE LISTED REQUIREMENTS UNDER COMMENT 5C NEXT
 COMMENT BELOW.

 LOCATIONS, A MIAMI-DADE NOA 16-0601.01 WAS SUBMITTED,
 IT HAS NOT BEEN REVIEWED BY THE DESIGNER OF RECORD
 BEFORE BEING SUBMITTED TO THE BUILDING DEPARTMENT. FBC
 107.3.4.1 PRODUCT APPROVALS. THOSE PRODUCTS WHICH ARE
 REGULATED BY THE DCA RULE 9N-03 SHALL BE REVIEWED AND
 APPROVED IN WRITING BY THE DESIGNER OF RECORD PRIOR TO
 SUBMITTAL FOR JURISDICTIONAL APPROVAL. FL 61G1-23.015
 (2) THE ARCHITECT IS RESPONSIBLE FOR SUPERVISING AND
 REVIEWING ALL PROJECT DATA, REPORTS, SHOP DRAWINGS
 ETC..
  
 5C) THE ROOF TOP A/C STAND PRODUCT APPROVAL A
 MIAMI-DADE NOA # 16-0601.01 WAS SUBMITTED, NOT REVIEWED
 BY THE DESIGNER OF RECORD. NEITHER THE CONTRACTOR NOR
 THE DESIGNER OF RECORD HAVE FOLLOWED THE PRODUCT
 APPROVAL IN CALCULATING THE AREA OF THE ROOF TOP
 COMPRESSORS, THE MEAN ROOF HEIGHT OF THE STAND AND
 COMPRESSORS, WEIGHT, CIRCLED THE DESIGN PARAMETERS IN
 THE TABLES, ANCHORS AND UPLIFT VERSES MOMENT. IDENTIFY
 EACH OF THE ABOVE REQUIREMENTS TO DETERMINE CODE
 COMPLIANCE.

 7) PROVISO: SHEET A-201 AND A-202 NOW SHOW WHAT APPEARS
 TO BE METAL AWNINGS (FIRST FLOOR) AND AWNING TYPE
 PROJECTIONS ON THE 2ND FLOOR OF THE SOUTH AND WEST
 ELEVATIONS. PLEASE BE AWARE AWNINGS REQUIRE A SEPARATE
 PERMIT, FEES AND ASSOCIATED FEES. PLEASE ALSO BE AWARE
 THE PLANS DO NOT SHOW WHERE THE PROPERTY LINE IS IN
 RELATION TO THE AWNINGS, CODE COMPLIANCE CANNOT BE
 ACHIEVED. TYPE OF FRAME AND FINISH MATERIAL IS NOT
 PROVIDE NOR WIND DESIGN.
 2014 FBC-B 3202.3.1 AWNINGS, CANOPIES, MARQUEES AND
 SIGNS. AWNINGS, CANOPIES, MARQUEES AND SIGNS SHALL BE
 CONSTRUCTED SO AS TO SUPPORT APPLICABLE LOADS AS
 SPECIFIED IN CHAPTER 16. AWNINGS, CANOPIES, MARQUEES
 AND SIGNS WITH LESS THAN 15 FEET (4572 MM) CLEARANCE
 ABOVE THE SIDEWALK SHALL NOT EXTEND INTO OR OCCUPY MORE
 THAN TWO-THIRDS THE WIDTH OF THE SIDEWALK MEASURED FROM
 THE BUILDING. STANCHIONS OR COLUMNS THAT SUPPORT
 AWNINGS, CANOPIES, MARQUEES AND SIGNS SHALL BE LOCATED
 NOT LESS THAN 2 FEET (610 MM) IN FROM THE CURB LINE.
  
 8) COMPLIED.
  
 9) IMPACT FEES. BEFORE A PERMIT TO CONSTRUCT, MAY BE
 ISSUED, IMPACT FEES MUST BE PAID TO PALM BEACH COUNTY.
 THE ACTUAL PERMIT SET OF PLANS MUST BE STAMPED BY THAT
 OFFICE, AND A COPY OF THE PAID RECEIPT ATTACHED TO THE

 10) WHEN RESUBMITTING PLANS PLEASE INDICATE THE
 REVISION & REMOVE ANY VOIDED SHEETS & REPLACE ANY PAGES

 TRANSMITTAL LETTER LISTING THE ORIGINAL REVIEW COMMENT
 NUMBER, WITH A DESCRIPTION OF THE REVISION MADE,
