 BUSINESS OCCUPANCY. PLEASE NOTE IF ANY PORTION OF THE

 FBC-B 2014 603.1. EXCEPTION 2. INSULATION INSTALLED
 BETWEEN A FINISHED FLOOR AND SOLID DECKING WITHOUT
 INTERVENING AIRSPACE SHALL BE ALLOWED TO HAVE A FLAME
 SPREAD INDEX OF NOT MORE THAN 200.
  
 FLAME SPREAD INDEX. A COMPARATIVE MEASURE, EXPRESSED AS
 A DIMENSIONLESS NUMBER, DERIVED FROM VISUAL
 MEASUREMENTS OF THE SPREAD OF FLAME VERSUS TIME FOR A
 MATERIAL TESTED IN ACCORDANCE WITH ASTM E 84 OR UL 723.
  
 4D) PLEASE ALSO REVIEW FIRES NOTES THAT DEAL WITH THE
 EXTERIOR CONCRETE DECK WHERE NO FIRE SPRINKLERS ARE
 LOCATED AND THE REQUIREMENTS OF NFPA, WHICH ARE MORE
 RESTRICTIVE OF THE 2 CODES. 101.4.5 FIRE PREVENTION.
 THE DESIGNER OF RECORD COULD SUBMIT TO THE BUILDING
 OFFICIAL A REQUEST UNDER ALTERNATIVE MATERIALS, DESIGN
 AND METHODS OF CONSTRUCTION SECTION 104.11 OF THE 2014
 FLORIDA BUILDING CODE W 2014 WEST PALM BEACH AMENDMENTS
 TO THE FLORIDA BUILDING CODE, CHAPTER 1,
 ADMINISTRATION.
  
 5)2ND REQUEST. EVEN IF GIVEN THE WORST CASE SCENARIO(
 AS INDICATED ON THE PLAN) ONE CAN?T EVEN REVIEW FOR
 WIND DESIGN PRESSURES IF THE UNKNOWN IS THE HEIGHT OF
 THE BUILDING, OTHERWISE WORST CASE SCENARIO IS A D
 EXPOSURE AND THE SQUARE FOOTAGE OF 10 SQ. FT. IN A WALL
 ZONE 5, THE PRESSURES IN THIS SITUATION ARE HIGHER THAN
 THE SUBMITTED PRODUCT APPROVAL. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
 IS REQUIRED TO SEE IF THE PRODUCT APPROVAL WOULD MEET
 THE REQUIRED WIND SPEED AND ASSOCIATED PRESSURES.

 FOR ALL PRODUCTS WITH GLAZING, PLEASE IDENTIFY THE
 OPENING WIDTH & HEIGHT, TYPE OF GLAZING, INFORMATION IF
 REQUIRED, ATTACHMENTS AND ASSOCIATE PRESSURES FOR EACH
 OPENING SIZE. 2014 FBC-B 1405.13.1. INSTALLATION.
 WINDOWS AND DOORS SHALL BE INSTALLED IN ACCORDANCE WITH
 APPROVED MANUFACTURERS INSTRUCTIONS. FASTENER SIZE AND
 SPACING SHALL BE PROVIDED IN SUCH INSTRUCTIONS AND
 SHALL BE CALCULATED BASED ON MAXIMUM LOADS AND SPACING
 USED IN THE TESTS.

 RATIO SHALL BE CALCULATED BY THE FOLLOWING EQUATION:

 COMPLIANCE.
 FBC 107.3.4.1 PRODUCT APPROVALS. THOSE PRODUCTS WHICH
 ARE REGULATED BY THE DCA RULE 9N-03 SHALL BE REVIEWED
 AND APPROVED IN WRITING BY THE DESIGNER OF RECORD PRIOR
 TO SUBMITTAL FOR JURISDICTIONAL APPROVAL. FL
 61G1-23.015 (2) THE ARCHITECT IS RESPONSIBLE FOR
 SUPERVISING AND REVIEWING ALL PROJECT DATA, REPORTS,

 SHAPE. THE TOLERANCE BETWEEN THE LARGEST AND SMALLEST
 RISER HEIGHT OR BETWEEN THE LARGEST AND SMALLEST TREAD
 DEPTH SHALL NOT EXCEED 3/8 INCH (9.5 MM) IN ANY FLIGHT
 OF STAIRS.
