 NOTE:
 BUILDING REVIEW MAY BE APPROVED WITH PROVISO: PROVISO
 MEANS THAT CONTRACTOR MAY SUBMIT REQUIRED REVISED
 INFORMATION AFTER THE PERMIT IS ISSUED, BUT BEFORE ANY
 INSPECTIONS TO AVOID CONFLICTS/DELAYS. CONTRACTOR TO
 ADVICE IF THE PROVISO OPTION IS PREFERRED AT THIS TIME.

 1- DIFFERENT ENERGY CALCULATIONS PRESCRIPTIVE FORM
 R402-2014 SUBMITTED:
 NOTE: PRESCRIPTIVE METHOD IS MORE STRICT THAN THE
 PREVIOUS FORM R405-2014 SUBMITTED. NEED TO COMPLY WITH
 ALL THE REQUIREMENTS OF TABLE R402A. THE FOLLOWING
 CONDITIONS NEED TO BE MET:
 A) THE PRESCRIPTIVE FORM R402-2014 CAN NOT BE USED IF
 THE AIR HANDLER UNIT IS LOCATED IN THE ATTIC. SEE AIR
 DISTRIBUTION INFORMATION ON TABLE R402A OF FORM
 SUBMITTED. ACCORDING TO PLANS SUBMITTED, IT LOOKS LIKE
 THE AIR HANDLER IS LOCATED IN THE ATTIC OF THE MAIN
 HOUSE. CLEARLY IDENTIFY LOCATION OF AIR HANDLER UNIT.
  
 B) THE CONDITIONED FLOOR AREA SHOWN ON ITEM #5 NEEDS TO
 BE REVISED. THE PROPOSED ADDITION IS 19'-9" X 12'-5".
 THEREFORE THE CORRECT AREA IS =/- 245 S.F. NOT 208 S.F.
 NOTE: ARCHITECTURAL PLANS NEED TO BE REVISED ALSO.
  
 C) THE WINDOWS U-FACTOR AND SHGC FACTOR SHOWN ON ITEM
 #6 DON'T COMPLY WITH THE MIN. REQUIRED FACTORS SHOWN ON
 TABLE R402A. SEE GENERAL INSTRUCTION #1 ON FRONT PAGE
 OF FORM SUBMITTED AND REVISE AS REQUIRED. AND, PROVIDE
 WINDOW AND DOORS MANUFACTURER'S SPECS SHOWING THAT THE
 PROPOSED WINDOWS MEET THE REQUIRED FACTORS.
  
 D) THE CONCRETE BLOCK WALL INFORMATION SHOWN ON ITEM
 #9(A)(2). CONCRETE BLOCK WALLS NEED TO HAVE INSULATION
 ON THE INTERIOR AND EXTERIOR SIDE OF THE WALL AS
 REQUIRED BY TABLE R402A . SEE NOTE #4 OF TABLE R402A.
 PLANS DON'T SHOW ANY INSULATION ON THE INTERIOR AND
 EXTERIOR SIDE OF THE WALL. PERSON PREPARING THE ENERGY
 CALCULATIONS TO PROVIDE COMPLETE DOCUMENTATION SHOWING
 COMPLIANCE WITH THIS REQUIREMENT. SEC. R103.2
 FBC-ENERGY CONSERVATION, 5TH EDITION (2014). REVISE AS
 REQUIRED.
  
 E) THE CEILING INFORMATION ON ITEM 10 DOESN'T COMPLY
 WITH TABLE R402A. THIS IS A SINGLE ASSEMBLY CEILING,
 THERE IS NOT ATTIC AND THE MINIMUM CEILING INSULATION
 REQUIRED BY TABLE R402A IS R-30. ALSO, ACCORDING TO
 ARCHITECTURAL PLANS THE CEILING JOISTS ARE 2X6. IT
 DOESN'T SEEM TO BE ENOUGH ROOM FOR THE R-30 INSULATION.
 PROVIDE COMPLETE DETAILS L AND SPECIFICATIONS SHOWING
 HOW INSTALLING R-30 INSULATION ON A 2X6 ROOF JOIST?.
 SEC. R1074.2.1 CITY AMENDMENTS. ALSO, COORDINATE
 CEILING AREA WITH ITEM #1(B) ABOVE.
  
 F) NEED TO COMPLETE THE MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS OF TABLE
 R402B AS REQUIRED BY NOTE #3 OF THE GENERAL
 INSTRUCTIONS OF FORM R402-2014 SUBMITTED.
  
 G) OWNER OR LEGALLY DESIGNATED AGENT NEED TO CERTIFY
 AND DATE AT THE BOTTOM OF THE ENERGY CALCULATIONS
 SUBMITTED AS REQUIRED BY SEC. R103.1.1.2 FBC-ENERGY
 CONSERVATION, 5TH EDITION (2014).
 RESPONSE: REPEAT COMMENT. NEW FORM SUBMITTED WAS NOT
 CERTIFIED AT THE BOTTOM OF THE FORM BY THE OWNER.
 PERMIT CAN NOT BE ISSUED WITHOUT THE OWNER'S
 CERTIFICATION.
  
 NOTE:
 LABEL FOR DOORS AND WINDOWS SHOWING THE U-FACTOR AND
 SHGC FACTOR SPECIFIED ON THE ENERGY CALCULATIONS IS
 REQUIRED WHEN CALCULATIONS ARE NO USING THE DEFAULT
 FACTORS.
  
  
 2- THE "NEW PORCH ENCLOSURE" CONDITIONED FLOOR AREA
 SHOWN ON THE AREA CALCULATIONS NEEDS TO BE REVISED. THE
 PROPOSED "PORCH ENCLOSURE" ADDITION IS 19'-9" X 12'-5".
 THEREFORE THE CORRECT AREA IS =/- 245 S.F. NOT 208 S.F.
 NOTE: ARCHITECTURAL PLANS NEED TO BE REVISED. SEC.
 107.2.1 CITY AMENDMENTS.
  
 3- TYPICAL WALL SECTION @ FAMILY ROOM:
 A) SPECIFY CEILING INSULATION. SEC. R103.2 FBC-ENERGY
 CONSERVATION. NOTE: KEEP IN MIND SIZE OF EXISTING ROOF
 JOISTS (2X6). SPECIFY INSULATION TYPE AND R-VALUE.
 ALSO, WALL SECTION SPECIFIES "EXISTING VENTED SOFFIT".
 KEEP IN MIND THE CLEARANCE REQUIRED BETWEEN THE
 INSULATION AND UNDERSIDE OF ROOF SHEATHING FOR CROSS
 VENTILATION AS REQUIRED BY SEC. R806.3 FBC-RESIDENTIAL,
 5TH EDITION (2014).
 (REPEAT COMMENT).
  
 B) SPECIFY R-VALUE FOR CONCRETE BLOCK WALL INSULATION.
 SEC. R103.2 FBC-ENERGY CONSERVATION.
 (REPEAT COMMENT).
  
 C) PROVIDE SPECIFICATIONS FOR NEW CEILING FINISH THAT
 IS COVERING THE INSULATION. SEC. 107.2.1 CITY
 AMENDMENTS.

 ARCHITECT MAY BE CHARGED FOUR TIMES THE PLAN REVIEW
 FEES FOR MULTIPLE REJECTIONS AS REQUIRED BY FLORIDA
