 AND DATE AT THE BOTTOM OF THE ENERGY CALCULATIONS
 SUBMITTED AS REQUIRED BY SEC. R103.1.1.2 FBC-ENERGY
 CONSERVATION, 5TH EDITION (2014).
  
 B) BUILDER TO COMPLETE THE ENERGY PERFORMANCE LEVEL
 (EPL) DISPLAY CARD SUBMITTED AS REQUIRED BY SEC.
 R103.1.1.2 FBC-ENERGY CONSERVATION.
  
 C) PLANS SUBMITTED DON'T SHOW ANY INFORMATION FOR THE
 R-30 CEILING INSULATION (SPECIALLY ON THE FLAT ROOF OF
 THE FAMILY AREA ADDITION) AND WALLS. PERSON PREPARING
 THE ENERGY CALCULATIONS TO CLARIFY WHERE IS THIS
 INFORMATION TAKEN FROM. NOTE: R-30 INSULATION MAY NOT
 FIT IN THE FLAT ROOF OF THE NEW ADDITION. ALSO, PLANS
 SUBMITTED DON'T SHOW ANY OVERHANG ON THE FLAT ROOF.
 COORDINATE WITH ARCHITECT OF RECORD TO AVOID
 CONFLICT/DELAYS AND REVISE AS REQUIRED. SEC. R103.2.1

 REVISE AS REQUIRED. NOTE: OVERHEAD GARAGE DOORS ARE NO
 TO BE CONSIDERED. DOORS TO BE BE CONSIDERED ARE THOSE
 THAT SEPARATE A/C SPACE FROM NON-A/C SPACE. REVISE AS
 REQUIRED.

 LABEL FOR DOORS AND WINDOWS SHOWING THE U-FACTOR AND
 SHGC FACTOR SPECIFIED ON THE ENERGY CALCULATIONS IS
 REQUIRED WHEN CALCULATIONS ARE NO USING THE DEFAULT
 FACTORS.
  
 2- PLANS SUBMITTED NEED TO HAVE ARCHITECT'S ORIGINAL
 SEAL AND SIGNATURE. PERMIT APPLICATION AND PLANS
 SUBMITTED ARE HARD COPIES NOT DIGITAL SUBMITTAL. PLANS
 SUBMITTED SHOW A DIGITAL SIGNATURE. THIS IS NOT ALLOWED
 ON HARD COPIES SUBMITTAL. SEC. 481.221 F.S.
  
 3- PROVIDE COMPLETE WALL SECTION THRU THE NEW FAMILY
 ROOM ADDITION AND THRU THE NEW GARAGE ENCLOSURE.
 SPECIFY ALL THE STRUCTURAL CONNECTIONS SHOWING
 COMPLIANCE WITH THE LOAD PATH AS REQUIRED BY SEC.
 R801.2, R601.2 AND R401.2 FBC-RESIDENTIAL.
 RESPONSE. CLEARLY SPECIFY TYPE AND SIZE OF SIMPSON MTS
 STRAP. SPECIFIED STRAP IS A WOOD TO WOOD CONNECTOR.
 PROPOSED CONSTRUCTION LOOKS LIKE WOOD TO CONCRETE
 BLOCK. SPECIFY SPACING OF STRAPS FROM WOOD BEAM TO
 CONCRETE BLOCK BEAM. REVISE/CLARIFY DETAIL AS REQUIRED.
  
 4- PROVIDE COMPLETE ROOF FRAMING PLAN FOR THE FAMILY
 ROOM ADDITION. SEC. R301.1 FBC-RESIDENTIAL. SPECIFY ALL
 FRAMING MEMBERS SIZES AND CONNECTORS.
 RESPONSE. REPEAT COMMENT. THERE IS NO INFORMATION ABOUT
 THE ROOF FRAMING SYSTEM AND CONNECTORS. SPECIFY FRAMING
 MEMBERS SIZING, SPACING AND CONNECTORS TO VERIFY
 COMPLIANCE WITH THE CURRENT WIND LOADS. NOTE: THIS AREA
 WAS AN ENCLOSED PORCH. NOW IS PROPOSED TO BE LIVABLE
 AREA. THAT'S WHY THE STRUCTURE NEEDS TO COMPLY WITH
 CURRENT WIND LOADS.
  
 5- ENERGY CALCULATIONS SUBMITTED CALL FOR R-30 CEILING
 INSULATION. PLANS NEED TO PROVIDE SPECIFICATIONS FOR
 THE CEILING AND WALLS INSULATION AS REQUIRED BY SEC.
 R103.1.1.2 FBC-ENERGY CONSERVATION. NOTE: KEEP IN MIND
 THAT R-30 BUTT INSULATION IS ABOUT 9-1/2" THICK. SIZE
 OF ROOF FRAMING MEMBERS MAY NOT ALLOW R-30 INSULATION
 AND CROSS VENTILATION (IF VENTILATION IS SPECIFIED BY
 THE ARCHITECT). COORDINATE WITH ITEM #4, ITEM #1(C) AND
 #1(D) ABOVE.
  
 6- SPECIFY ROOF VENTILATION FOR THE FAMILY ROOM
 ADDITION AND GARAGE ENCLOSURE. SEC. R806.1
 FBC-RESIDENTIAL.
 RESPONSE. REPEAT COMMENT. ENERGY CALCULATIONS AND PLANS
 NEED TO BE COORDINATED TO AVOID CONFLICTS/DELAYS.
 COORDINATE WITH ITEM #1(C) AND #1(D) ABOVE.
  
 7- PROVIDE PRODUCT APPROVAL (2 COPIES) AS REQUIRED BY
 FAC 61G20-3.001 FOR:
 A) ALL SIMPSON STRUCTURAL CONNECTORS SPECIFIED ON
 PLANS. PROVIDE THE FLORIDA PRODUCT APPROVAL COVER PAGE
 THAT CORRESPONDS TO REPORT SUBMITTED. OR ARCHITECT TO
 LIST THE CURRENT FLORIDA PRODUCT APPROVAL NUMBER NEXT
 TO EACH SPECIFIED CONNECTOR.
  
 8- ARCHITECT OF RECORD TO REVIEW AND APPROVE IN WRITING
 (NOT SIGNING AND SEALING) ALL THE PRODUCT APPROVALS AS
 REQUIRED BY SEC. 107.3.4.1 CITY AMENDMENTS.
 RESPONSE.
 A) ARCHITECT'S LETTER SUBMITTED IS TOO GENERAL. IF
 USING A LETTER AS A RESPONSE FOR THE REVIEW OF EACH
 PRODUCT APPROVAL, THEN CLEARLY IDENTIFY EACH PRODUCT
 APPROVAL BY MANUFACTURER'S NAME AND SPECIFIC NOA OR
 FLORIDA PRODUCT APPROVAL NUMBER.
  
 B) LETTER SUBMITTED NEEDS ARCHITECT'S ORIGINAL SEAL AND
 SIGNATURE. PERMIT APPLICATION AND PLANS SUBMITTED ARE
 HARD COPIES NOT DIGITAL SUBMITTAL. LETTER SUBMITTED
