 ADMINISTRATION
  
 2014 EXISTING BUILDING CODE LEVEL II 701.3 COMPLIANCE.
 ALL NEW CONSTRUCTION ELEMENTS, COMPONENTS, SYSTEMS, AND
 SPACES SHALL COMPLY WITH THE REQUIREMENTS OF THE
 FLORIDA BUILDING CODE, BUILDING.

 HIGHRISE BUILDING
 1) SHEET A-2 DETAIL # 2 THE PROPOSED FLOOR PLAN DOES
 NOT SHOW COMPLIANCE WITH 2014 FBC-B 713.14.1. EVERY
 ELEVATOR LOBBY SHALL HAVE AT ONE MEANS OF EGRESS,
 ENSURING THAT NO OCCUPANT FROM THE FLOOR HAS TO TRAVEL
 THROUGH THE ELEVATOR LOBBY TO AN EXIT. THERE APPEARS TO
 BE (2) POSSIBLE SOLUTIONS. THE FIRST WOULD BE TO CREATE
 A SECOND EXIT THROUGH ROOM # 114 INTO THE CORRIDOR YOU
 WOULD NOT HAVE TO TRAVEL THROUGH THE ELEVATOR LOBBY.
 THE 2ND SOLUTION WOULD BE TO INSTALL THE 1 HOUR RATED
 MAGNETIC DROPS FIRE AND SMOKE CURTAINS OVER EACH OF THE
 ELEVATOR OPENINGS. THE ELEVATOR FIRE AND SMOKE MAGNETIC
 CURTAIN WOULD HAVE TO BE TIED TO THE FIRE ALARM AS WELL
 TO ACTIVATE THE SYSTEM.
  
 2) SHEET A-2 COMMON PATH OF TRAVEL HAS ALSO BEEN
 EXCEEDED. FROM THE OFFICE 112 MEASURING ONE FOOT FROM
 THE WALL FROM THE FURTHEST POINT IN THAT OFFICE TO
 WHERE YOU HAVE A CHOICE OF 2 EXITS THE TRAVEL DISTANCE
 IS APPROXIMATELY 113 FEET. TABLE 1014.3 OF THE 2014
 FBC-B ONLY ALLOWS 100 FEET FOR FIRE SPRINKLERED
 BUILDINGS. PLEASE ALSO CHECK THE COMMON PATH OF TRAVEL
 FROM THE OTHER 3 CORNER OFFICES.
  
 3) WHEN RESUBMITTING PLANS PLEASE INDICATE THE REVISION
 & REMOVE ANY VOIDED SHEETS & REPLACE ANY PAGES AS
 NECESSARY, COLLATE AND STAPLE INTO SETS OF PLANS. A
 TRANSMITTAL LETTER LISTING THE ORIGINAL REVIEW COMMENT
 NUMBER, WITH A DESCRIPTION OF THE REVISION MADE,
 IDENTIFYING THE SHEET OR SPECIFICATION PAGE WHERE THE
 CHANGES CAN BE FOUND WILL HELP TO EXPEDITE YOUR PERMIT.
