 REVIEW COMMENTS - FIRE DEPARTMENT
  
 1) REVIEW AND RESPOND TO BUILDING DEPARTMENT COMMENTS.
  
 2) FIRE PROTECTION SYSTEMS SHALL REMAIN ACTIVE DURING
 DEMOLITION AND RENOVATION ACTIVITIES. IN THE EVENT A
 FIRE PROTECTION SYSTEM IS OUT OF SERVICE FOR MORE THAN
 4-HOURS IN A 24-HOUR PERIOD, THE BUILDING SHALL BE
 PLACED UNDER A FIRE WATCH. ALL FIRE WATCH REQUESTS MUST
 BE SUBMITTED BY EMAIL ([email protected])
 ([email protected]) OR IN WRITING (FAX: 561-804-4774) AND
 APPROVED BY THE OFFICE OF THE FIRE MARSHAL LOCATED AT
 500 NORTH DIXIE HIGHWAY.
  
 3) ENTRY DOORS: THUMB-TURN LOCK TO BE EQUIPPED WITH A
 LOCK/UNLOCK INDICATOR.
  
 4) EACH FIRE BARRIER SHALL BE PERMANENTLY IDENTIFIED
 WITH SIGNS OR STENCILING READING FIRE BARRIER-PROTECT
 ALL OPENINGS. CHARACTERS SHALL BE AT LEAST 4-INCHES IN
 HEIGHT AND HALF-INCH IN WIDTH. IDENTIFICATION SHALL BE
 SPACED NOT MORE THAN 15 FEET ON CENTER.
  
 5) PROVIDE 44 INCH WIDE STRIPING (DEMARCATION) IN
 STOREROOM TO ENSURE EGRESS PATH REQUIREMENTS ARE
 MAINTAINED AT ALL TIMES.
  
 5) WHERE MUSIC SYSTEMS ARE BEING INSTALLED IN TENANT
 SPACES: THE SPEAKER SYSTEM WILL NEED TO BE TESTED
 AGAINST THE FIRE ALARM SYSTEM TO ENSURE THAT THE
 MINIMUM REQUIRED DECIBEL LEVELS OF THE FIRE ALARM
 SYSTEM ARE BEING MET. PENDING RESULTS OF FIELD
 INSPECTION/FIRE ALARM TEST, ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS MAY
 BE NEEDED.
  
 6) ALL TENANT SPACES FOR THE MARKETPLACE MUST BE TIED
 INTO THE MASTER FIRE ALARM PANEL FOR THE BUILDING. EACH
 TENANT SPACE WILL BE INTERCONNECTED AND UPON ACTIVATION
 OF AN ALARM IN ANY ONE SPACE, ALL SPACES WILL HAVE
 THEIR NOTIFICATION DEVICES ACTIVATE. AN FACP IN A
 TENANT SPACES WILL HAVE THE "RESET" AND "SILENCE"
 FUNCTIONS DEACTIVATED. RESET AND SILENCE OF AN ALARM IS
 LIMITED TO THE MASTER PANEL FOR THE BUILDING AND MAY
 ONLY BE DONE BY A LICENSED FIRE ALARM TECHNICIAN.
 SHOULD IT BE FOUND THAT TENANTS ARE ACCESSING THE
 PANELS IN THE TENANT SPACES AND/OR USING THE "RESET" OR
 "SILENCE" FUNCTIONS, THE OFFICE OF THE FIRE MARSHAL MAY
 REQUIRE THAT THE TENANT FACP BE REMOVED.
  
 7) PER APPROVED MASTER PLANS: MAIN FACP FOR THIS
 BUILDING IS TO BE THE ONLY PANEL TO NOTIFY THE FIRE
 DEPARMENT. NOTIFICATION WILL DESIGNATE SPECIFIC ADDRESS
 OF TENANT WHERE TROUBLE IS LOCATED. EACH BUILDING SHALL
 ALARM/EVACUATE ONLY THE SPACES IN THAT BUILDING (IE AN
 ALARM IN "B" WILL NOT EVACUATE ANY SPACE IN "A", "BII",
 OR "C". EACH TENANT SPACE FACP SHALL BE CONNECTED TO
 MAIN FACP FOR THIS BUILDING VIA MODULES. TENANT SYSTEM
 SHALL BE COMPATIBLE WITH NOTIFIER OR EQUAL APPROVED
 MAIN FACP/HARDWARE EACH FLOW/TAMPER SHALL BE ZONED SO
 THAT AN ALARM WILL SOUND FOR EACH BUILDING SEPARATELY.
