 2014 EXISTING BUILDING CODE LEVEL II 701.3 COMPLIANCE.
 ALL NEW CONSTRUCTION ELEMENTS, COMPONENTS, SYSTEMS, AND
 SPACES SHALL COMPLY WITH THE REQUIREMENTS OF THE
 FLORIDA BUILDING CODE, BUILDING.

 1) SHEET A-0.0 THE LIFE SAFETY SHEET:
 1A) PLEASE PROVIDE THE SQUARE FOOT AREAS OF EACH OF THE
 OCCUPANCIES AND SQ. FT. USED FROM TABLE 1004.1.2 OF THE
 2014 FBC-B EVEN WITH THE LETTER FROM THE FIRE MARSHALL.
 THE MOST RESTRICTIVE OF THE 2 CODES IS WHAT IS USED FOR
 DETERMINING THE OCCUPANT LOAD COUNT. THE FIRE MARSHALL
 POST THE OCCUPANT LOADS. PLEASE NOTE THE DESIGNER OF
 RECORD IS DROPPING OCCUPANTS. THE BUSINESS OCCUPANCY IS
 BROKEN INTO 754 SQ. FT BUT ONLY 7 OCCUPANTS, AS WELL AS
 124 SQ. FT. AND A OCCUPANT LOAD OF 1, YOU ALWAYS ROUND
 UP SEE THE 2012 IBC-B COMMENTARY 1004.1.2.
  
 1B) THE PLANS (SHEET A-0.0)INDICATE A NEW 2 HOUR FIRE
 RATED OCCUPANCY SEPARATION WALL WHEREAS SHEET
 A-1.0 INDICATES TO ADD 1 LAYER OF TYPE X DRYWALL TO THE
 EXISTING WALL, HOW WILL THE 1ST LAYER OF DRYWALL AND
 THE EXISTING STUDS TO BE VERIFIED THAT IT MEETS THE
 REQUIREMENTS OF UL U-419? PLEASE PLACE ADDITIONAL NOTES
 ON PLANS. 107.2.1.3. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION IS
 REQUIRED.
  
 2) SHEET A-1.0 AND SHEET A-3.0 DETAIL # 3 THE HALF WALL
 DETAIL SHOW A NEW COUNTERTOP WITH 12 INCH WRITING LEDGE
 AT 42 INCHES FROM FINISH FLOOR. IT IS NOT CLEAR IF THIS
 IS TO BE USED BY STAFF OR IF THIS COUNTERTOP IS TO BE
 USED FOR TRANSACTIONS SUCH AS A WRITING SURFACE FOR
 CHECKS ETC.? IF SO THE N THE COUNTER OR A PORTION OF
 THE COUNTER NEEDS TO SHOW COMPLIANCE WITH 2014
 FBC-ACCESS. CODE 904.3.3 CHECK WRITING SURFACES.
 WHERE PROVIDED, CHECK WRITING SURFACES SHALL COMPLY
 WITH 902.3.
 902.3 HEIGHT. THE TOPS WORK SURFACES SHALL BE 28 INCHES
 MINIMUM AND 34 INCHES MAXIMUM ABOVE THE FINISH FLOOR OR
 GROUND.
  
 3) WHEN RESUBMITTING PLANS PLEASE INDICATE THE REVISION
 & REMOVE ANY VOIDED SHEETS & REPLACE ANY PAGES AS
 NECESSARY, COLLATE AND STAPLE INTO SETS OF PLANS. A
 TRANSMITTAL LETTER LISTING THE ORIGINAL REVIEW COMMENT
 NUMBER, WITH A DESCRIPTION OF THE REVISION MADE,
 IDENTIFYING THE SHEET OR SPECIFICATION PAGE WHERE THE
 CHANGES CAN BE FOUND WILL HELP TO EXPEDITE YOUR PERMIT.
