 ADMINISTRATION
  
 2014 EXISTING BUILDING CODE LEVEL II 701.3 COMPLIANCE.
 ALL NEW CONSTRUCTION ELEMENTS, COMPONENTS, SYSTEMS, AND
 SPACES SHALL COMPLY WITH THE REQUIREMENTS OF THE
 FLORIDA BUILDING CODE, BUILDING.

 1) THE LIFE SAFETY PLAN LS-201:
 1A) PLEASE SHOW IN THE LIFE SAFETY PLAN EGRESS AISLES
 SALES DISPLAYS, KIOSK, COUNTERS, STANDS AND CHECK OUT
 COUNTERS. 1001.4 FIRE SAFETY AND EVACUATION PLANS. FIRE
 SAFETY AND EVACUATION PLANS SHALL BE PROVIDED FOR ALL
 OCCUPANCIES AND BUILDINGS WHERE REQUIRED BY THE FLORIDA
 FIRE PREVENTION CODE. SUCH FIRE SAFETY AND EVACUATION
 PLANS SHALL COMPLY WITH THE APPLICABLE PROVISIONS OF
 THE FLORIDA FIRE PREVENTION CODE.
  
 1B) PLEASE PROVIDE COMPLIANCE WITH THE 2014
 FBC-ACCESSIBILITY CODE SECTION 206.4.1 PUBLIC
 ENTRANCES.
 IN ADDITION TO ENTRANCES REQUIRED BY 206.4.2 THROUGH
 206.4.9, AT LEAST 60 PERCENT OF ALL PUBLIC ENTRANCES
 SHALL COMPLY WITH 404.
 BARRIERS AT COMMON OR EMERGENCY ENTRANCES AND EXITS OF
 BUSINESS ESTABLISHMENTS CONDUCTING BUSINESS WITH THE
 GENERAL PUBLIC THAT ARE EXISTING, UNDER CONSTRUCTION,
 OR UNDER CONTRACT FOR CONSTRUCTION WHICH WOULD PREVENT
 A PERSON FROM USING SUCH ENTRANCES OR EXITS SHALL BE
 REMOVED.
 NEITHER ENTRY IS A CODE COMPLIANT ACCESSIBLE ENTRY, 2
 ARE REQUIRED.
  
 1C) THE PERMIT APPLICATION INDICATES THE VALUE OF
 PROPOSED WORK UNDER THIS PERMIT IS $50,000.00.
 DISPROPORTIONATE COST WOULD REQUIRE UP TO $10,000.00
 DOLLARS OF VALUE TO BE SPENT IN THIS ORDER.
 202.4.2 ACCESSIBLE FEATURES IN THE EVENT OF
 DISPROPORTIONALITY.
 WHEN THE COST OF ALTERATIONS NECESSARY TO MAKE THE PATH
 OF TRAVEL TO THE ALTERED AREA FULLY ACCESSIBLE IS
 DISPROPORTIONATE TO THE COST OF THE OVERALL ALTERATION,
 THE PATH OF TRAVEL SHALL BE MADE ACCESSIBLE TO THE

 ELEMENTS THAT WILL PROVIDE THE GREATEST ACCESS, IN THE
 FOLLOWING ORDER: (I) AN ACCESSIBLE ENTRANCE; (II) AN
 ACCESSIBLE ROUTE TO THE ALTERED AREA; (III) AT LEAST
 ONE ACCESSIBLE RESTROOM FOR EACH SEX OR A SINGLE UNISEX
 RESTROOM; (IV) ACCESSIBLE TELEPHONES; (V) ACCESSIBLE
 DRINKING FOUNTAINS; AND (VI) WHEN POSSIBLE, ADDITIONAL
 ACCESSIBLE ELEMENTS SUCH AS PARKING, STORAGE, AND
 ALARMS.
  
 2) ACCESS. CODE 904.1. CHECK-OUT AISLES AND SALES AND
 SERVICE COUNTERS SHALL COMPLY WITH THE APPLICABLE
 REQUIREMENTS OF 904.
  
 904.2 APPROACH. ALL PORTIONS OF COUNTERS REQUIRED TO
 COMPLY WITH 904 SHALL BE LOCATED ADJACENT TO A WALKING
 SURFACE COMPLYING WITH 403.
  
 904.4 SALES AND SERVICE COUNTERS. SALES COUNTERS AND
 SERVICE COUNTERS SHALL COMPLY WITH 904.4.1 OR 904.4.2.
 THE ACCESSIBLE PORTION OF THE COUNTER TOP SHALL EXTEND
 THE SAME DEPTH AS THE SALES OR SERVICE COUNTER TOP.
  
 3) SHEET D-201 IN THE NOTES 1 & 3 BOTH INDICATE THE
 REMOVAL OF WINDOW AND EXTERIOR DOORS. PLEASE PROVIDE
 COMPLIANCE WITH: 2014 FBC-B 1609.1.2 PROTECTION OF
 OPENINGS, 1609.6.4.4.1 COMPONENTS & CLADDING. FLORIDA
 DEPARTMENT OF COMMUNITY AFFAIRS, ADMINISTRATIVE CODE
 61G20-3.005, RULE 9N-3 NOV. 01/ 2010 (31) SUB-CATEGORY
 OF PRODUCTS OR CONSTRUCTION SYSTEMS THAT WILL REQUIRE
 PRODUCT APPROVALS:

 4) FBC 107.3.4.1 PRODUCT APPROVALS. THOSE PRODUCTS
 WHICH ARE REGULATED BY THE DCA RULE 9N-03 SHALL BE
 REVIEWED AND APPROVED IN WRITING BY THE DESIGNER OF
 RECORD PRIOR TO SUBMITTAL FOR JURISDICTIONAL APPROVAL.
 FL 61G1-23.015 (2) THE ARCHITECT IS RESPONSIBLE FOR
 SUPERVISING AND REVIEWING ALL PROJECT DATA, REPORTS,
 SHOP DRAWINGS ETC..
  
 5) SHEET S-001 INDICATES THE STRUCTURAL COMPONENTS FOR
 THE NEW EXTERIOR DOOR OPENINGS, BUT THE PLANS ARE
 SILENT AS TO WHAT STRUCTURAL REQUIREMENTS ARE REQUIRED
 FOR UNDER THE WINDOWS SILLS, BOND BEAMS, BLOCK WORK AND
 RE-ENFORCING STEEL WILL BE REQUIRED. THIS IS PART OF
 THE MWFRS (MAIN WIND FORCE RESISTING SYSTEM).
  
 6) WHEN RESUBMITTING PLANS PLEASE INDICATE THE REVISION
 & REMOVE ANY VOIDED SHEETS & REPLACE ANY PAGES AS
 NECESSARY, COLLATE AND STAPLE INTO SETS OF PLANS. A
 TRANSMITTAL LETTER LISTING THE ORIGINAL REVIEW COMMENT
 NUMBER, WITH A DESCRIPTION OF THE REVISION MADE,
 IDENTIFYING THE SHEET OR SPECIFICATION PAGE WHERE THE
 CHANGES CAN BE FOUND WILL HELP TO EXPEDITE YOUR PERMIT.
