 CHECKLIST. THIS DELAYS THE REVIEW PROCESS AND PROVIDES

 1- THERE ARE TWO SEPARATE STRUCTURES IN THIS SUBMITTAL.
 PROVIDE A PERMIT APPLICATION FOR EACH BUILDING. MAIN
 HOUSE AND GUEST HOUSE. SEC. 105.1 CITY AMENDMENTS.
 RESPONSE: REPEAT COMMENT. NOT ADDRESSED AT ALL. NEED A
 PERMIT APPLICATION FOR EACH STRUCTURE.
  
 2- GUEST HOUSE ORIGINAL COMMENT:
 NEED TO SPECIFY 1 HOUR FIRE RATED ASSEMBLY FOR THE WEST
 WALL WITH FIRE EXPOSURE FROM BOTH SIDES AS REQUIRED BY
 TABLE R302.1(1). ASSEMBLY NEED TO TESTED IN ACCORDANCE
 WITH ASTM E 119 OR UL 263.
 RESPONSE: NEED 1 HOUR FIRE RATED WALL ASSEMBLY THAT
 PROVIDES FIRE PROTECTION FROM BOTH SIDES. THAT'S WHY I
 WROTE BOTH SIDES IN CAPITAL LETTERS TO MAKE SURE PROPER
 ASSEMBLY WAS SPECIFIED. THE SPECIFIED ASSEMBLY DESIGN
 NO. U356 IS FOR FIRE EXPOSURE ON THE INTERIOR FACE
 ONLY. REVISE AS REQUIRED. SPECIFY ASSEMBLY THAT
 PROVIDES PROTECTION ON BOTH SIDES. NOTE: THE 1 HOUR
 PROTECTION FROM BOTH SIDES APPLIES TO FIRST AND SECOND
 FLOOR NOT JUST THE SECOND FLOOR ADDITION. REVISE PLANS
 SHOWING COMPLIANCE FOR FIRST AND SECOND FLOOR.
  
 3- GUEST HOUSE ORIGINAL COMMENT:
 GUEST BEDROOM WINDOW ABOVE GARAGE DOESN'T COMPLY WITH
 THE EGRESS REQUIREMENTS OF SEC. R310 FBC-RESIDENTIAL
 5TH EDITION (2014). NEED TO COMPLY WITH THE MIN. CLEAR
 HEIGHT AND TOTAL CLEAR OPENING. REVISE AS REQUIRED.
 RESPONSE: NONE OF THE WINDOWS ON THE SECOND FLOOR
 BEDROOM COMPLIES WITH THE EGRESS REQUIREMENTS. SINGLE
 HUNG PRODUCT APPROVAL SUBMITTED IS FOR CGI WINDOWS.
 LOOK ON THE INTERNET FOR THE WINDOW SIZE CHART FOR
 SIZES THAT COMPLY FOR EGRESS (SECOND FLOOR) AND REVISE
 SIZE AS REQUIRED.
  
 4- ORIGINAL COMMENT: BUILDING SECTION AT MAIN HOUSE
 2/A2.1 SHOWS A STAIRWAY WITH OPEN RISERS. OPEN RISERS
 ARE NOT ALLOWED UNLESS THEY COMPLY WITH SEC. R311.7.5.1
 FBC-RESIDENTIAL. PROVIDE COMPLETE DETAILS AND
 SPECIFICATIONS SHOWING COMPLIANCE.
 RESPONSE: SECTION 2/A2.1 AND SECTION NEEDS TO BE
 REVISED/CLARIFIED. (1)THE HEADROOM CLEARANCE OF 6'-8"
 AS SHOWN WITH DASHED LINES DOESN'T WORK. (2)SPACING
 BETWEEN PICKETS CAN NOT BE 4" MIN. IT HAS TO BE LESS
 THAN 4" SO AN SPHERE CAN NOT PASS THRU. (3)MATERIALS
 AND DIMENSIONS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF STAIRS IS NOT
 SPECIFIED. UNABLE TO VERIFY THE SPACE BETWEEN OPEN
 RISERS FOR COMPLIANCE WITH THE OPEN RISERS EXCEPTION.
 REVISE DETAILS AND SPECIFICATIONS AS REQUIRED. NOTE:
 STAIRS/HANDRAILS SHOP DRAWINGS WILL BE REQUIRED FOR
 REVIEW PRIOR TO CONSTRUCTION TO AVOID CONFLICTS/DELAYS.
 ARCHITECT TO REVIEW AND APPROVE PRIOR TO SUBMITTAL.

 MEMBERS AND FASTENERS AND PROVIDE MESH SPECIFICATIONS.

 SEPARATION MENTIONED BY THE ARCHITECT ON THE RESPONSE
 LETTER IS FOR THE REQUIRED FIRE RATED EXTERIOR WALL NOT
 FOR THE SEPARATION REQUIRED AT THE GARAGE CEILING.
