 WEST PALM BEACH AMENDMENTS TO THE FLORIDA BUILDING
 CODE, CHAPTER 1, ADMINISTRATION 107.3.4.2 DEFERRED
 SUBMITTALS. DOCUMENTS FOR DEFERRED SUBMITTAL ITEMS
 SHALL BE SUBMITTED TO THE REGISTERED DESIGN
 PROFESSIONAL IN RESPONSIBLE CHARGE WHO SHALL REVIEW
 THEM AND FORWARD THEM TO THE BUILDING OFFICIAL WITH A
 NOTATION INDICATING THAT THE DEFERRED SUBMITTAL
 DOCUMENTS HAVE BEEN REVIEWED AND FOUND TO BE IN GENERAL
 CONFORMANCE TO THE DESIGN OF THE BUILDING. THE DEFERRED
 SUBMITTAL ITEMS SHALL NOT BE INSTALLED UNTIL THE
 DEFERRED SUBMITTAL DOCUMENTS HAVE BEEN APPROVED BY THE
 BUILDING OFFICIAL.

 4C)(1)SEMI-COMPLIED/2ND REQUEST. THE RESPONSE FOR THE
 ANCHORING DETAIL OF THE ERV-1 INDICATES SEE SHEET A8.04
 DETAIL # 9. THERE ARE CONCERNS WITH THIS DETAIL, IT
 STILL LOOKS LIKE THIS IS A GENERIC DETAIL. THE DETAIL
 INDICATES WHAT APPEARS TO BE EITHER A 6 OR 8 INCH
 CONCRETE DECK. THE ENERGY CODE VALUES TAKEN SHEET 14
 FOR THE FLAT ROOF INDICATE A 2 INCH CONCRETE DECK WHICH
 WOULD INDICATE B-DECK BENEATH AND EITHER BAR JOIST OR
 WOOD TRUSSES. THE OTHER ISSUE WITH THE DESIGN IS THE
 USE OF 2 ? INCH TAPCONS THAT AT MOST WILL ONLY
 PENETRATE THE CONCRETE DECK NO MORE THAN 1 ? INCHES. IN
 THIS SAME DETAIL THERE IS NO ANCHOR/ STRAP/ BRACKET OR
 FASTENER FROM THE CURB TO THE ERV-1. WE USUALLY SEE THE
 STRUCTURAL ENGINEER PROVIDING THE DETAIL AND STRUCTURAL
 ANALYSIS (FBC-B 1604.4). THERE IS NO STRUCTURAL
 INFORMATION PROVIDED S2.0 FOR BUILDING A THE FLAT ROOF.
 BOTH M1.2 AND M3.2 SHOW A GENERIC DETAIL FOR THE ERV-1.
 SHOW COMPLIANCE WITH:
 2014 FBC-B 1604.4 ANALYSIS.
  
 4C)(2) THE ROOF TOP A/C STAND PRODUCT APPROVAL A
 MIAMI-DADE NOA # 16-0601.01 WAS SUBMITTED, REVIEWED BY
 THE DESIGNER OF RECORD. NEITHER THE CONTRACTOR NOR THE
 DESIGNER OF RECORD HAVE FOLLOWED THE PRODUCT APPROVAL
 IN CALCULATING THE AREA OF THE ROOF TOP COMPRESSORS,
 THE MEAN ROOF HEIGHT OF THE STAND AND COMPRESSORS,
 WEIGHT, CIRCLED THE DESIGN PARAMETERS IN THE TABLES ,
 ANCHORS AND UPLIFT VERSES MOMENT. 2014 FBC-B 1604.4
 ANALYSIS.
  
 1ST ROUND REVIEW COMMENT. THE M1.1, SHOWS ERV-1 AS
 INSTALLED ROOF TOP A/ C EQUIPMENT ON TOP OF A ROOF TOP
 CURB. THERE ARE NO DETAILS IN EITHER THE STRUCTURAL
 PLANS NOR MECHANICAL PLANS INDICATING THE REQUIRED
 FRAMING FROM ROOF FRAMING MEMBERS AND OR IF EXTRA
 FRAMING AND HEADERS ARE REQUIRED. THE PLANS ARE SILENT
 ON THE ANCHORING OF THE MECHANICAL CURB TO THE MAIN
 WIND FORCE RESISTING SYSTEM (MWFRS). FOR ALL ROOF TOP
 EQUIPMENT, CURBS OR A/C STANDS, DETAILED ATTACHMENT TO
 THE ROOF FRAMING & DECK AS WELL AS FROM THE CURB OR
 ROOF STAND TO THE EQUIPMENT ABOVE. THIS INFORMATION
 WILL BE REQUIRED FOR PERMIT ISSUANCE.
 2014 FBC-B 1604.4 ANALYSIS. LOAD EFFECTS ON STRUCTURAL
 MEMBERS AND THEIR CONNECTIONS SHALL BE DETERMINED BY
 METHODS OF STRUCTURAL ANALYSIS THAT TAKE INTO ACCOUNT
 EQUILIBRIUM, GENERAL STABILITY, GEOMETRIC COMPATIBILITY
 AND BOTH SHORT- AND LONG-TERM MATERIAL PROPERTIES.
 EVERY STRUCTURE SHALL BE DESIGNED TO RESIST THE
 OVERTURNING EFFECTS CAUSED BY THE LATERAL FORCES
 SPECIFIED IN THIS CHAPTER. SEE SECTION 1609 FOR WIND
 LOADS.
  
 4D) 2MD REQUEST. SHEET A6.01 SHOWS DASHED LINES WHERE
 THE PROPOSED ROOF TOP CURBS WILL BE PLACED.
 WILL THESE UNITS BE PLACED NOW, WILL THEY REQUIRE THE
 ROOF FRAMING TO BE CUT, TRIMMERS ADDED AND HEADER? IS
 SO AND THE CURBS ARE INSTALLED PLEASE PROVIDE WHAT
 MATERIAL WILL BE OVER THE OPENING TO PREVENT FALLS AND
 RAIN FROM ENTERING THE BUILDING? RESPONSE INDICATES
 THAT CONDENSING UNIT STANDS WILL BE SUPPLIED FOR ALL
 FUTURE TENANT USE. 107.2.1.3 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
 REQUIRED.
  
 4E) COMPLIED. THE ENERGY .
  
 5-8) COMPLIED.
  
 9) BEFORE A PERMIT TO CONSTRUCT, MAY BE ISSUED, IMPACT
 FEES MUST BE PAID TO PALM BEACH COUNTY. WHEN THE
 PARTIAL DEMO IS COMPLETE AND FINAL, PLEASE REQUEST A
 CERTIFICATE OF COMPLETION TO TAKE TO THE IMPACT FEE
 OFFICE TO RECEIVE A CREDIT BEFORE PAYING IMPACT FEES.
 THE ACTUAL PERMIT SET OF PLANS MUST BE STAMPED BY THAT
 OFFICE, AND A COPY OF THE PAID RECEIPT ATTACHED TO THE
 PERMIT APPLICATION. PLEASE CALL (561)233-5025 FOR MORE

 10) WHEN RESUBMITTING PLANS PLEASE INDICATE THE
 REVISION & REMOVE ANY VOIDED SHEETS & REPLACE ANY PAGES
