 CHAPTER 1 ADMINISTRATION
  
 110.3.9 OTHER INSPECTIONS SERVICES. THE BUILDING
 OFFICIAL MAY MAKE, OR CAUSE TO BE MADE BY OTHERS, THE
 INSPECTIONS REQUIRED BY SECTION 109. HE/SHE MAY ACCEPT
 REPORTS OF INSPECTORS OF RECOGNIZED INSPECTION
 SERVICES, PROVIDED THAT AFTER INVESTIGATION HE/SHE IS
 SATISFIED AS TO THEIR QUALIFICATIONS AND RELIABILITY. A
 CERTIFICATE CALLED FOR BY ANY PROVISION OF THE
 TECHNICAL CODES SHALL NOT BE BASED ON SUCH REPORTS
 UNLESS THE SAME ARE IN WRITING AND CERTIFIED BY A
 RESPONSIBLE OFFICER OF SUCH SERVICE. THE BUILDING
 OFFICIAL MAY REQUIRE THE OWNER TO EMPLOY AN INSPECTION
 SERVICE IN THE FOLLOWING INSTANCES:
  
 SUCH INSPECTORS SHALL BE ADEQUATELY PRESENT AT TIMES
 WORK IS UNDERWAY ON THE STRUCTURAL ELEMENTS OF THE
 BUILDING. SUCH INSPECTORS SHALL BE A REGISTERED
 ARCHITECT, OR ENGINEER, OR A PERSON LICENSED UNDER
 CHAPTER 468, PART XII, FLORIDA STATUTES. SUCH
 INSPECTORS SHALL SUBMIT WEEKLY PROGRESS REPORTS
 INCLUDING THE DAILY INSPECTIONS TO THE BUILDING
 OFFICIAL, AND INCLUDING A CODE COMPLIANCE OPINION OF
 THE RESIDENT INSPECTOR.
  
 THE CONTRACTOR SHALL PRODUCE A JOB SUMMARY OR HISTORY
 FOR THIS TYPE OF CONSTRUCTION.

 BUILDING INSPECTIONS FOR AUDITING OF JOBSITE
 INSPECTIONS. WITHOUT THIS, THE PERMIT EXPIRES IN 6
 MONTHS WHICH WILL RESULT IN ?ABANDONMENT OF JOB, NO
 INSPECTION ACTIVITY?. THE PERMIT WILL BECOME EXPIRED.
  
 PLEASE PROVIDE A SITE PLAN SHOWING THE PROPERTY LINES,
 CONSTRUCTION AREAS, STAGING AREAS, HOW THE OCCUPANTS OF
 THE BUILDING WILL BE SAFE GUARDED DURING THEIR ENTRY
 AND EXIT OF THE BUILDING. SHOW COMPLIANCE WITH 2014 FBC
 3306.7 ? COVERED WALKWAYS, INCLUDING LIGHTING FOR THE
 EXIT DISCHARGE. 2014 FBC 3310.2 ? MAINTENANCE OF MEANS
 OF EGRESS. REQUIRED MEANS OF EGRESS SHALL BE MAINTAINED
 AT ALL TIMES DURING CONSTRUCTION, DEMOLITION,
 REMODELING OR ALTERATIONS AND ADDITIONS TO ANY
 BUILDING.
  
 IF SCAFFOLDING EXTENDS BEYOND THE PRIVATE PROPERTY AND
 ONTO CITY RIGHT OF WAY, ENGINEERING WILL REQUIRE RIGHT
 OF WAY PERMITS. PLEASE CONTACT MANNY GONZALEZ AT THE
 ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT ? (561) 494-1085.
  
 IF SCAFFOLDING IS TO BE USED FOR THE HEIGHT OF THE
 BUILDING, PLEASE PROVIDE HOW THE SCAFFOLDING WILL BE
 BUILT AS WELL AS HOW THE SCAFFOLDING WILL BE ANCHORED
 TO RESIST LATERAL WIND LOADING. THERE APPEARS SAND
 BLASTING WILL ALSO BE AN ELEMENT OF THE OPERATION, HOW
 WILL THE SANDBLASTING BE CONTAINED, WILL THERE BE WIND
 SCREENS, IF SO PLEASE PROVIDE WHAT ELEMENTS WILL BE
 INTRODUCED TO KEEP THE SCAFFOLDING FROM MOVING WITH THE
 LATERAL EFFECT OF WIND ON THE WIND SCREENS. AT WHAT
 SAFETY FACTOR ARE THESE ELEMENTS FACTORED? 107.2.1.3
 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION. 2014 FBC 3302.1 & 3306.1.
  
 PROVIDE COMPLIANCE WITH FBC 3309.1 WHERE REQUIRED. ALL
 STRUCTURES UNDER CONSTRUCTION, ALTERATION OR DEMOLITION
 SHALL BE PROVIDED WITH NO FEWER THAN ONE APPROVED
 PORTABLE FIRE EXTINGUISHER IN ACCORDANCE WITH SECTION
 906 AND SIZED FOR NOT LESS THAN ORDINARY HAZARD AS
 FOLLOWS:
  
 THE SPECIAL INSPECTOR, UPON COMPLETION OF THE BUILDING
 AND PRIOR TO THE ISSUANCE OF A CERTIFICATE OF OCCUPANCY
 OR COMPLETION, FILE A SIGNED AND SEALED STATEMENT WITH
 THE ENFORCEMENT AGENCY IN SUBSTANTIALLY THE FOLLOWING
 FORM: ?TO THE BEST OF MY KNOWLEDGE AND BELIEF, THE
 ABOVE DESCRIBED CONSTRUCTION OF ALL STRUCTURAL
 LOAD-BEARING COMPONENTS COMPLIES WITH THE PERMITTED
 DOCUMENTS AND THE SHORING AND RESHORING CONFORMS TO THE
 SHORING AND RESHORING PLANS SUBMITTED TO THE
 ENFORCEMENT AGENCY?.
