 ALL NEW CONSTRUCTION ELEMENTS, COMPONENTS, SYSTEMS, AND
 SPACES SHALL COMPLY WITH THE REQUIREMENTS OF THE
 FLORIDA BUILDING CODE, BUILDING.

 1) THE LIFE SAFETY SHEET INDICATES THIS IS A CHANGE OF
 OCCUPANCY DAYCARE WITH AN OCCUPANT LOAD OF 31 OCCUPANTS
 (20 NET). PLEASE PROVIDE THE SQUARE FOOTAGE OF THE
 CHANGE OF OCCUPANCY AND SEE FBC-B TABLE 10041.2 THE
 OCCUPANT LOAD FACTOR IS (35 NET).
  
 2) THE CODE ANALYSIS INDICATES THE OCCUPANCY AS AN (D)
 DAYCARE OCCUPANCY. PLEASE INDICATE AS TO WHICH TYPE OF
 DAYCARE/ EDUCATIONAL FACILITY THIS USE WILL FALL INTO:
 2014 FBC-B 305.2 GROUP E, DAY CARE FACILITIES. THIS
 GROUP INCLUDES BUILDINGS AND STRUCTURES OR PORTIONS
 THEREOF OCCUPIED BY MORE THAN FIVE CHILDREN OLDER THAN
 2 1/2 YEARS OF AGE WHO RECEIVE EDUCATIONAL, SUPERVISION
 OR PERSONAL CARE SERVICES FOR FEWER THAN 24 HOURS PER
 DAY.

 AND EACH OF THESE CHILD CARE ROOMS HAS AN EXIT DOOR
 DIRECTLY TO THE EXTERIOR, SHALL BE CLASSIFIED AS GROUP
 E.
 OR
 CHILDREN 2 1/2 YEARS OF AGE OR LESS USUALLY ARE NOT
 ABLE TO RECOGNIZE AN EMERGENCY SITUATION, MAY NOT
 RESPOND APPROPRIATELY OR MAY NOT BE ABLE TO EGRESS
 WITHOUT ASSISTANCE; THUS FACILITIES THAT HAVE MORE THAN
 5 CHILDREN 2 1/2 YEARS OF AGE OR LESS ARE CLASSIFIED AS
 CHILD CARE FACILITIES AND CONSIDERED TO BE GROUP I-4.
  
 3) THE PLAN INDICATES A PROPOSED DAYCARE CLASSROOM, IS
 THIS ROOM BEING ADDED TO AN EXISTING DAYCARE? THE PLANS
 DO NOT SHOW WHERE THE TOILET FACILITIES FOR THE
 DAYCARE, NOR THE FACILITIES TO BE USED FOR THE ADULTS?
  
  
 4A) 468.3.5.2 TEACHER TOILETS. FACULTY AND STAFF
 TOILETS SHALL BE SEPARATE FROM STUDENT TOILETS.
  
 4B) 468.3.5.5 WALLS. WALLS IN TOILET ROOMS SHALL BE
 IMPERVIOUS TO A HEIGHT OF AT LEAST 4 FEET (1219 MM)
 ABOVE THE FLOOR. WALLS IN KITCHENS, SCULLERIES, CAN
 WASH AREAS, AND SHOWER ROOMS SHALL BE IMPERVIOUS TO A
 HEIGHT OF AT LEAST 6 FEET (1829 MM) ABOVE THE FLOOR.
 TOILET AND SHOWER PARTITIONS SHALL BE IMPERVIOUS.
  
 4C) 2014 FBC-ACCESS. CODE 604.1 GENERAL. WATER CLOSETS
 AND TOILET COMPARTMENTS SHALL COMPLY WITH 604.2 THROUGH
 604.8. EXCEPTION: WATER CLOSETS AND TOILET COMPARTMENTS
 FOR CHILDREN?S USE SHALL BE PERMITTED TO COMPLY WITH
 604.9. 604.9 WATER CLOSETS AND TOILET COMPARTMENTS FOR
 CHILDREN?S USE.
  
 4D) WATER CLOSETS AND TOILET COMPARTMENTS FOR
 CHILDREN?S USE SHALL COMPLY WITH 604.9.
  
 4E) 468.3.4 DIAPER CHANGING STATIONS. A DIAPER CHANGING
 STATION SHALL BE LOCATED IN OR ADJACENT TO ANY
 CLASSROOM WHERE CHILDREN WEARING DIAPERS ARE IN
 ATTENDANCE. A HAND WASHING LAVATORY SHALL BE PROVIDED
 WITHIN THE CHANGING STATION AREA. ACCESS SHALL BE
 PROVIDED TO THE LAVATORY WITHOUT OPENING DOORS OR
 TOUCHING A HANDLE.
  
 5) 466.3 BATHROOM DOORS. EVERY BATHROOM DOOR LOCK SHALL
 BE DESIGNED TO PERMIT OPENING OF THE LOCKED DOOR FROM
 THE OUTSIDE IN AN EMERGENCY. THE OPENING DEVICE SHALL
 BE READILY ACCESSIBLE TO THE STAFF.
  
 6) 466.2 CLOSET DOORS. EVERY CLOSET DOOR LATCH SHALL BE
 SUCH THAT CLIENTS CAN OPEN THE DOOR FROM INSIDE THE
 CLOSET.
  
 7) THE LIFE SAFETY PLANS INDICATE A DOORWAY TO A
 PLAYGROUND PLEASE SHOW COMPLIANCE IF REQUIRED. 1015.6
 DAY CARE MEANS OF EGRESS. DAY CARE FACILITIES, ROOMS OR
 SPACES WHERE CARE IS PROVIDED FOR MORE THAN 10 CHILDREN
 THAT ARE 21/2 YEARS OF AGE OR LESS, SHALL HAVE ACCESS
 TO NOT LESS THAN TWO EXITS OR EXIT ACCESS DOORWAYS.
  
 8) IMPACT FEES. BEFORE A PERMIT TO CONSTRUCT, MAY BE
 ISSUED, IMPACT FEES MUST BE PAID TO PALM BEACH COUNTY.
 THE ACTUAL PERMIT SET OF PLANS MUST BE STAMPED BY THAT
 OFFICE, AND A COPY OF THE PAID RECEIPT ATTACHED TO THE
 PERMIT APPLICATION. PLEASE CALL (561)233-5025 FOR MORE

 9) WHEN RESUBMITTING PLANS PLEASE INDICATE THE REVISION
 & REMOVE ANY VOIDED SHEETS & REPLACE ANY PAGES AS
 NECESSARY. A TRANSMITTAL LETTER LISTING THE ORIGINAL
 REVIEW COMMENT NUMBER, WITH A DESCRIPTION OF THE
 REVISION MADE, IDENTIFYING THE SHEET OR SPECIFICATION
 PAGE WHERE THE CHANGES CAN BE FOUND WILL HELP TO
