 3)THE CONTRACTOR OF RECORD (QAULIFIER) THAT CREATE THE
 PLAN FOR THE PROPOSED WORK WILL NEED TO PRINT THEIR
 NAME, SIGN THEIR NAME & PRINT THEIR LICENSE NUMBER ON
 THE PLANS THEY HAVE CREATED. 2014 FLORIDA BUILDING CODE
 W 2014 WEST PALM BEACH AMENDMENTS TO THE FLORIDA
 BUILDING CODE, CHAPTER 1, ADMINISTRATION 107.1.
 107.3.4.3 CERTIFICATIONS BY CONTRACTORS AUTHORIZED
 UNDER THE PROVISIONS OF SECTION 489.115 FLORIDA
 STATUTES, SHALL BE CONSIDERED EQUIVALENT TO SEALED
 PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS BY A PERSON LICENSED UNDER
 CHAPTER 471, FLORIDA STATUTES, OR CHAPTER 481 FLORIDA
 STATUTES.
  
 4) PLANS NEED TO BE BOUND TOGETHER INTO ONE SET OF
 DOCUMENTS BEFORE SUBMISSION TO THE BUILDING DEPARTMENT.
 107.2.1.4 QUALITY OF BUILDING PLANS. BUILDING PLANS
 SHALL BE DRAWN TO A MINIMUM 1/8 INCH SCALE. THE
 BUILDING OFFICIAL MAY ESTABLISH THROUGH DEPARTMENTAL
 POLICY, OTHER STANDARDS FOR PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS,
 IN
 ORDER TO PROVIDE CONFORMITY TO ITS RECORD RETENTION
 PROGRAM.
  
 5) PLEASE INDICATE WHICH WAY THE CEILING/ RAFTER/ OR
 ROOF JOIST ARE POSITIONED. THE TENANT SEPARATION WALL
 MAY ALSO BE A BEARING WALL, REQUIRING A PROPERLY SIZED
 HEADER, JACK STUDS AND FULL LENGTH BEARING STUDS. THIS
 SAME WALL IF IT IS A BEARING WALL WOULD ALSO BE
 CONSIDERED PART OF THE MWFRS (MAIN WIND FORCE RESISTING
 SYSTEM) IN THAT CASE THE CONTRACTOR CAN NOT DESIGN
 LOADS TO RESIST WIND LOADS UNLESS CERTIFIED THEOUGH A
 STATE APPROVED COURSE, THIS COURSE AND CERTIFICATE WAS
 FOR
 WIND LOADS ON ONE & TWO FAMILY RESIDENCE.
  
 107.3.4.3 CERTIFICATIONS BY CONTRACTORS AUTHORIZED
 UNDER THE PROVISIONS OF SECTION489.115 FLORIDA
 STATUTES, SHALL BE CONSIDERED EQUIVALENT TO SEALED
 PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS BY A PERSON LICENSED UNDER
 CHAPTER 471, FLORIDA STATUTES, OR CHAPTER 481 FLORIDA
 STATUTES, BY LOCAL ENFORCEMENT AGENCIES FOR PLANS
 REVIEW FOR PERMITTING PURPOSES RELATING TO COMPLIANCE
 WITH THE WIND-RESISTANCE PROVISIONS OF THE CODE OR
 ALTERNATE METHODOLOGIES ENFORCEMENT AGENCIES MAY RELY
 UPON SUCH CERTIFICATION BY CONTRACTORS THAT THE PLANS
 AND SPECIFICATIONS SUBMITTED CONFORM TO THE
 REQUIREMENTS OF THE CODE FOR WIND RESISTANCE. UPON GOOD
 CAUSE SHOWN, LOCAL GOVERNMENT CODE ENFORCEMENT AGENCIES
 MAY ACCEPT OR REJECT PLANS SEALED BY PERSONS LICENSED
 UNDER CHAPTERS 471,481 OR 489, FLORIDA STATUTES.
  
 6) THE PLANS INDICATE THE CONTRACT VALUE OF THE PROJECT
 IS $ 4,200.00 DOLLARS. 20% OF THE CONTRACT VALUE OR
 $840.00 DOLLARS IS TO BE SPENT ON ACCESSIBLE UPGRADES.
 PLEASE SEE THE ORDER THE FUNDS ARE TO BE SPENT. THE
 CONTRACTOR IS TO PROVIDE AN ITEMIZED LIST INTHE ORDER
 LISTED BELOW OF WHAT ACCESSIBLE ELEMENTS ARE GOING TO
 BE UPGRADED TO CODE COMPLIANCE.
 2014 FBC-ACCESSIBILITY CODE. 202.4.1 DISPROPORTIONATE
 COST. ALTERATIONS MADE TO PROVIDE AN ACCESSIBLE PATH OF
 TRAVEL TO THE ALTERED AREA WILL BE DEEMED
 DISPROPORTIONATE TO THE OVERALL ALTERATION WHEN THE
 COST EXCEEDS 20% OF THE COST OF THE ALTERATION TO THE
 PRIMARY FUNCTION AREA. COSTS THAT MAY BE COUNTED AS
 EXPENDITURES REQUIRED TO PROVIDE AN ACCESSIBLE PATH OF
 TRAVEL MAY INCLUDE: (I) COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH PROVIDING
 AN ACCESSIBLE ENTRANCE AND AN ACCESSIBLE ROUTE TO THE
 ALTERED AREA; (II) COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH MAKING
 RESTROOMS ACCESSIBLE, SUCH AS INSTALLING GRAB BARS,
 ENLARGING TOILET STALLS, INSULATING PIPES, OR
 INSTALLING ACCESSIBLE FAUCET CONTROLS; (III) COSTS
 ASSOCIATED WITH PROVIDING ACCESSIBLE TELEPHONES, SUCH
 AS RELOCATING THE TELEPHONE TO AN ACCESSIBLE HEIGHT,
 INSTALLING AMPLIFICATION DEVICES, OR INSTALLING A TEXT
 TELEPHONE (TTY); (IV) COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH RELOCATING
 AN INACCESSIBLE DRINKING FOUNTAIN.
  
 7) WHEN RESUBMITTING PLANS PLEASE INDICATE THE REVISION
 & REMOVE ANY VOIDED SHEETS & REPLACE ANY PAGES AS
 NECESSARY. A TRANSMITTAL LETTER LISTING THE ORIGINAL
 REVIEW COMMENT NUMBER, WITH A DESCRIPTION OF THE
 REVISION MADE, IDENTIFYING THE SHEET OR SPECIFICATION
 PAGE WHERE THE CHANGES CAN BE FOUND WILL HELP TO
 EXPEDITE YOUR PERMIT. THANK YOU FOR YOUR ANTICIPATED
