 **VERY IMPORTANT** GENERAL: PER NFPA 241 SECTION
 8.7.2.3, WHERE UNDERGROUND WATER MAINS AND HYDRANTS ARE
 TO BE PROVIDED, THEY SHALL BE INSTALLED, COMPLETED, AND
 IN SERVICE PRIOR TO CONSTRUCTION WORK.
  
 GENERAL: INDICATE IF ANY TEMPORARY CONSTRUCTION
 TRAILERS ARE INTEDED TO OCCUPY THE SITE: PER NFPA 241
 SECTION 4.2.2: DETACHMENT BETWEEN TEMPORARY STRUCTURES,
 ADEQUATE TEMPORARY FIXED FIRE PROTECTION SYSTEMS, AND
 PORTABLE EQUIPMENT SHALL BE PROVIDED AS REQUIRED BY THE
 AUTHORITY HAVING JURISDICTION.
 PER NFPA 241- STANDARD FOR SAFEGUARDING CONSTRUCTION,
 ALTERATION, AND DEMOLITION OPERATIONS, SECTION 4.2:
 TEMPORARY OFFICES, TRAILERS, AND OTHER FACILITIES OF
 COMBUSTIBLE CONSTRUCTION OR HOUSING COMBUSTIBLE
 CONTENTS SHALL BE SEPARATED FROM ADJACENT BUILDINGS,
 TRAILERS OR STRUCTURES IN ACCORDANCE WITH TABLE 4.2.1.
 PER TABLE 4.2.1:
 1) 20 FEET EXPOSED LENGTH SHALL BE SEPARATED FROM
 ADJACENT STRUCTURES BY AT LEAST 30 FEET
 2) 30 FEET EXPOSED LENGTH SHALL BE SEPARATED FROM
 ADJACENT STRUCTURES BY AT LEAST 35 FEET
 3) 40 FEET EXPOSED LENGTH SHALL BE SEPARATED FROM
 ADJACENT STRUCTURES BY AT LEAST 40 FEET
 4) 50 FEET EXPOSED LENGTH SHALL BE SEPARATED FROM
 ADJACENT STRUCTURES BY AT LEAST 45 FEET
 5) 60 FEET EXPOSED LENGTH SHALL BE SEPARATED FROM
 ADJACENT STRUCTURES BY AT LEAST 50 FEET

 SPRINKLER PROTECTION IS USED IN THE EXPOSING STRUCTURE.
  
 SHEET WS-1 & WS-2: PROVIDE CHAIN WITH LOCK AND TAMPER
 SWITCHES FOR SUPERVISING THE BACKFLOW PREVENTER IN THE
 OPEN POSITION. PROVIDE LOCKING KNOX CAPS ON FIRE
 DEPARTMENT CONNECTIONS.
  
 SHEET WS-2: NO FIRE MAINS OR FIRE DEPARTMENT
 CONNECTIONS PROVIDED FOR BUILDING #3 OR #4.
  
 SHEET PD-2: THE SOUTH ENTRANCE OFF 15TH STREET IS ONLY
 12 FEET WIDE. PER SECTION 18.2.3.4.1.1 (NFPA 1), FIRE
 DEPARTMENT ACCESS ROADS SHALL HAVE A SURFACE DESIGNED
 TO ACCOMMODATE FIRE APPARATUS WEIGHING AT LEAST 36
 TONS. ACCESS ROADS SHALL HAVE AN UNOBSTRUCTED WIDTH OF
 NOT LESS THAN 20 FEET AND AN UNOBSTRUCTED VERTICAL
 CLEARANCE OF NOT LESS THAN 13 FEET 6 INCHES.
  
 SHEET LS1.05: THE CLUB ROOM IS AN ASSEMBLY ROOM WITH A
 POSSIBLE OCCUPANT LOAD OF 60 TO140 PERSONS DEPENDING
 UPON THE OCCUPANT LOAD FACTOR USED. DOOR C WILL NEED TO
 HAVE THE SWING REVERSED TO SWING WITH EGRESS. DOORS C
 AND D WILL NEED PANIC HARDWARE IF NOT ALREADY EQUIPPED.
  
 SHEET LS1.05: WHEN OCCUPANTS LEAVE THE EXERCISE ROOM,
 WHAT ROUTE IS BEING UTILIZED FOR THE SECONDARY MEANS OF
 EGRESS? THE PRIMARY MEANS OF EGRESS IS TO THE EAST.
  
 EXIT SIGNAGE: SOME OF THE CORRIDORS HAVE AN
 INSUFFICIENT AMOUNT OF EXIT SIGNS. PER NFPA 101 SECTION
 7.10.1.5.2 NEW SIGN PLACEMENT SHALL BE SUCH THAT NO
 POINT IN AN EXIT ACCESS CORRIDOR IS IN EXCESS OF THE
 RATED VIEWING DISTANCE OR 100 FEET, WHICHEVER IS LESS,
 FROM THE NEAREST SIGN.
  
 EMERGENCY LIGHTING: BUILDING 1 APPEARS TO ONLY HAVE
 EMERGENCY LIGHTING IN THE STAIRS AND ELEVATOR LOBBY
 AREAS. PER NFPA 101 SECTION 30.2.9 EMERGENCY LIGHTING
 SHALL BE PROVIDED IN ALL BUILDINGS FOUR OR MORE STORIES
 IN HEIGHT, OR WITH MORE THAN 12 DWELLING UNITS, UNLESS
 EVERY DWELLING UNIT HAS A DIRECT EXIT TO THE OUTSIDE OF
 THE BUILDING AT THE FINISHED GROUND LEVEL.
  
 SHEET FA-1.00A: ALL OF THE CODES AND STANDARDS
 REFERENCED IN NOTE #34 ARE OUT OF DATE.
  
 FIRE ALARM ADA: NO VISUAL DEVICES PROVIDED IN THE ADA
 UNITS.
  
 FIRE SPRINKLERS: BUILDINGS 3 AND 4 ARE NOT PROTECTED BY
 AN AUTOMATIC FIRE SPRINKLER SYSTEM. PER NFPA 101
 SECTION 30.3.5.1 ALL NEW APARTMENT BUILDINGS SHALL BE
 PROTECTED THROUGHOUT BY AN APPROVED, SUPERVISED
 AUTOMATIC SPRINKLER SYSTEM.
