 3) 2014 FBC-B 1015.6 DAY CARE MEANS OF EGRESS. DAY CARE
 FACILITIES, ROOMS OR SPACES WHERE CARE IS PROVIDED FOR
 MORE THAN 10 CHILDREN THAT ARE 21/2 YEARS OF AGE OR
 LESS, SHALL HAVE ACCESS TO NOT LESS THAN TWO EXITS OR
 EXIT ACCESS DOORWAYS.
  
 4) 2014 FBC-B 466.2 CLOSET DOORS. EVERY CLOSET DOOR
 LATCH SHALL BE SUCH THAT CLIENTS CAN OPEN THE DOOR FROM
 INSIDE THE CLOSET.
  
 5) 2014 FBC-B 466.3 BATHROOM DOORS. EVERY BATHROOM DOOR
 LOCK SHALL BE DESIGNED TO PERMIT OPENING OF THE LOCKED
 DOOR FROM THE OUTSIDE IN AN EMERGENCY. THE OPENING
 DEVICE SHALL BE READILY ACCESSIBLE TO THE STAFF.
  
 6) PLEASE SHOW CODE COMPLIANCE WITH 466.7 DETECTION AND
 ALARM SYSTEMS. DAY CARE OCCUPANCIES SHALL BE PROVIDED
 WITH A FIRE ALARM SYSTEM IN ACCORDANCE WITH SECTION 907
 AND THIS SECTION, 466.7.1 & 466.7.1.1.
  
 7) 2014 FBC-B 466.7.2 DETECTION. A SMOKE DETECTION
 SYSTEM SHALL BE INSTALLED IN ACCORDANCE WITH NFPA 72,
 WITH PLACEMENT OF DETECTORS IN EACH STORY IN FRONT OF
 DOORS TO THE STAIRWAYS AND IN THE CORRIDORS OF ALL
 FLOORS OCCUPIED BY THE DAY CARE OCCUPANCY. DETECTORS
 ALSO SHALL BE INSTALLED IN LOUNGES, RECREATION AREAS
 AND SLEEPING ROOMS IN THE DAY CARE OCCUPANCY.
  
 8) 2014 FBC-B 466.8 CORRIDORS. EVERY INTERIOR CORRIDOR
 SHALL BE CONSTRUCTED OF WALLS HAVING NOT LESS THAN A
 1-HOUR FIRE-RESISTANCE RATING.
 EXCEPTION: 1. IN BUILDINGS PROTECTED THROUGHOUT BY AN
 APPROVED, SUPERVISED AUTOMATIC SPRINKLER SYSTEM IN
 ACCORDANCE WITH SECTIONS 901.6 AND 903.3.1.1, CORRIDOR
 WALLS SHALL NOT BE REQUIRED TO BE RATED, PROVIDED THAT
 SUCH WALLS FORM SMOKE PARTITIONS IN ACCORDANCE WITH
 SECTION 710.
 EXCEPTION: 2. 2. WHERE THE CORRIDOR CEILING IS AN
 ASSEMBLY HAVING 1-HOUR FIRE-RESISTANCE RATING WHERE
 TESTED AS A WALL, THE CORRIDOR WALLS SHALL BE PERMITTED
 TO TERMINATE AT THE CORRIDOR CEILING.
  
 9) ) PLEASE NOTE THE FBC-B CHAPTER 468 SECTION OF THE
 CODE ALSO DEALS WITH SCHOOLS AND WOULD NEED TO BE
 REVIEWED FOR CODE COMPLIANCE.
 9A) 468.2.2 PLAYGROUNDS AND EQUIPMENT.
 PLAYGROUNDS AND EQUIPMENT SHALL BE SAFE, STRUCTURALLY
 SOUND, VERMIN PROOF, AND SHALL NOT HAVE JAGGED OR SHARP
 PROJECTIONS. PLAYGROUND EQUIPMENT SHALL BE ANCHORED TO
 SUITABLE FOUNDATIONS TO PREVENT TOPPLING OR
 DISLODGEMENT. CUSHIONING MATERIALS SUCH AS MATS, WOOD
 CHIPS, OR SAND SHALL BE USED UNDER CLIMBING EQUIPMENT,
 SLIDES, AND SWINGS.
  
 9B) 468.2.3 OUTDOOR WASTE CONTAINERS. A SMOOTH
 NONABSORBENT SURFACE SHALL BE PROVIDED FOR OUTDOOR
 WASTE CONTAINERS.
  
 9C) 468.3.4 DIAPER CHANGING STATIONS. A DIAPER CHANGING
 STATION SHALL BE LOCATED IN OR ADJACENT TO ANY
 CLASSROOM WHERE CHILDREN WEARING DIAPERS ARE IN
 ATTENDANCE. A HAND WASHING LAVATORY SHALL BE PROVIDED
 WITHIN THE CHANGING STATION AREA. ACCESS SHALL BE
 PROVIDED TO THE LAVATORY WITHOUT OPENING DOORS OR
 TOUCHING A HANDLE.
  
 9D) 468.3.5.2 TEACHER TOILETS. FACULTY AND STAFF
 TOILETS SHALL BE SEPARATE FROM STUDENT TOILETS.
  
 9E) 468.3.5.5 WALLS. WALLS IN TOILET ROOMS SHALL BE
 IMPERVIOUS TO A HEIGHT OF AT LEAST 4 FEET (1219 MM)
 ABOVE THE FLOOR. WALLS IN KITCHENS, SCULLERIES, CAN
 WASH AREAS, AND SHOWER ROOMS SHALL BE IMPERVIOUS TO A
 HEIGHT OF AT LEAST 6 FEET (1829 MM) ABOVE THE FLOOR.
 TOILET AND SHOWER PARTITIONS SHALL BE IMPERVIOUS.
  
 4F) 2014 FBC-ACCESS. CODE 604.1 GENERAL. WATER CLOSETS
 AND TOILET COMPARTMENTS SHALL COMPLY WITH 604.2 THROUGH
 604.8. EXCEPTION: WATER CLOSETS AND TOILET COMPARTMENTS
 FOR CHILDREN?S USE SHALL BE PERMITTED TO COMPLY WITH
 604.9. 604.9 WATER CLOSETS AND TOILET COMPARTMENTS FOR
 CHILDREN?S USE.
 WATER CLOSETS AND TOILET COMPARTMENTS FOR CHILDREN?S
 USE SHALL COMPLY WITH 604.9.
  
 9G)(1)603.2.1 TURNING SPACE. TURNING SPACE COMPLYING
 WITH 304 SHALL BE PROVIDED WITHIN THE ROOM.
  
 9G)(2) 603.2.2 OVERLAP. REQUIRED CLEAR FLOOR SPACES,
 CLEARANCE AT FIXTURES, AND TURNING SPACE SHALL BE
 PERMITTED TO OVERLAP. THIS NOTE IS FOR THE SINGLE
 BATHROOM, MISSING CLEARANCE AROUND THE WATER CLOSET.
 604.3.1 SIZE. CLEARANCE AROUND A WATER CLOSET SHALL BE
 60 INCHES (1525 MM) MINIMUM MEASURED PERPENDICULAR FROM
 THE SIDE WALL AND 56 INCHES (1420 MM) MINIMUM MEASURED
 PERPENDICULAR FROM THE REAR WALL.

 906.1 WHERE REQUIRED.
  
 10) PLEASE NOTE THIS IS A CHANGE IN OCCUPANCY FROM
 MERCANTILE TO EDUCATIONAL. UNDER THE 2014 EXISTING
 BUILDING CODE 1012.4 MEANS OF EGRESS.
 EXST. BLDG CODE 1012.4.2 MEANS OF EGRESS FOR CHANGE OF
 USE TO EQUAL OR LOWER HAZARD CATEGORY. WHEN A CHANGE OF
 OCCUPANCY CLASSIFICATION IS MADE TO AN EQUAL OR LESSER
 HAZARD CATEGORY (HIGHER NUMBER) AS SHOWN IN TABLE
 1012.4, EXISTING ELEMENTS OF THE MEANS OF EGRESS SHALL
