 PLEASE ADDRESS THE ITEMS NOTED BELOW:
  
 1) THE WORK DESCRIPTION ON THE PERMIT APPLICATION
 INDICATES THE ADDITION OF TWO SMALL ROOMS AND THE PLANS
 SPECIFY THE ADDITION OF A LARGE WALK IN CLOSET. PLEASE
 CLARIFY. FBC 107.2.1
  
 2) FBC 107.2.5 SITE PLAN. THE CONSTRUCTION DOCUMENTS
 SUBMITTED WITH THE APPLICATION FOR PERMIT SHALL BE
 ACCOMPANIED BY A SITE PLAN SHOWING TO SCALE THE SIZE
 AND LOCATION OF NEW CONSTRUCTION AND EXISTING
 STRUCTURES ON THE SITE, DISTANCES FROM LOT LINES, THE
 ESTABLISHED STREET GRADES AND THE PROPOSED FINISHED
 GRADES AND, AS APPLICABLE, FLOOD HAZARD AREAS,
 FLOODWAYS, AND DESIGN FLOOD ELEVATIONS; AND IT SHALL BE
 DRAWN IN ACCORDANCE WITH AN ACCURATE BOUNDARY LINE
 SURVEY. IN THE CASE OF DEMOLITION, THE SITE PLAN SHALL
 SHOW CONSTRUCTION TO BE DEMOLISHED AND THE LOCATION AND
 SIZE OF EXISTING STRUCTURES AND CONSTRUCTION THAT ARE
 TO REMAIN ON THE SITE OR PLOT.
  
 3) THE AREA TABULATIONS ON SHEETS 2 AND 3 ARE INCORRECT
 AND DO NOT MATCH THE ONE ON SHEET 4. PLEASE PROVIDE
 ACCURATE AREA TABULATIONS. FBC 107.2.1
  
 4) SPECIFY THE TYPE OF OCCUPANCY FOR THIS PROJECT ON
 THE PLANS. IT APPEARS TO BE A DETACHED ONE FAMILY
 DWELLING, WHICH IS COVERED BY THE PROVISIONS OF THE FBC
 RESIDENTIAL. FBC 302.1
  
 5) SPECIFY THE TYPE OF CONSTRUCTION FOR THIS PROJECT ON
 THE PLANS. IT APPEARS TO BE TYPE VB. FBC 602.1
  
 6) SHOW COMPLIANCE WITH 2014 FBC ENERGY CONSERVATION
 SECTIONS 101.5.1 & 103.1 BY SUBMITTING THE PROPER
 CONSTRUCTION DOCUMENTS. SEE RESIDENTIAL BUILDING FORMS
 402 OR 405.
  
 7) SHOW COMPLIANCE WITH FBC R408.1 VENTILATION. THE
 UNDER-FLOOR SPACE BETWEEN THE BOTTOM OF THE FLOOR
 JOISTS AND THE EARTH UNDER ANY BUILDING (EXCEPT SPACE
 OCCUPIED BY A BASEMENT) SHALL HAVE VENTILATION OPENINGS
 THROUGH FOUNDATION WALLS OR EXTERIOR WALLS. THE MINIMUM
 NET AREA OF VENTILATION OPENINGS SHALL NOT BE LESS THAN
 1 SQUARE FOOT (0.0929 M2) FOR EACH 150 SQUARE FEET (14
 M2) OF UNDER-FLOOR SPACE AREA, UNLESS THE GROUND
 SURFACE IS COVERED BY A CLASS 1 VAPOR RETARDER
 MATERIAL. WHEN A CLASS 1 VAPOR RETARDER MATERIAL IS
 USED, THE MINIMUM NET AREA OF VENTILATION OPENINGS
 SHALL NOT BE LESS THAN 1 SQUARE FOOT (0.0929 M2) FOR
 EACH 1,500 SQUARE FEET (140 M2) OF UNDER-FLOOR SPACE
 AREA. ONE SUCH VENTILATING OPENING SHALL BE WITHIN 3
 FEET (914 MM) OF EACH CORNER OF THE BUILDING.
  
 8) SHOW COMPLIANCE WITH FBC R408.4 ACCESS. ACCESS SHALL
 BE PROVIDED TO ALL UNDER-FLOOR SPACES. ACCESS OPENINGS
 THROUGH THE FLOOR SHALL BE A MINIMUM OF 18 INCHES BY 24
 INCHES (457 MM BY 610 MM). OPENINGS THROUGH A PERIMETER
 WALL SHALL BE NOT LESS THAN 16 INCHES BY 24 INCHES (407
 MM BY 610 MM). WHEN ANY PORTION OF THE THROUGH-WALL
 ACCESS IS BELOW GRADE, AN AREAWAY NOT LESS THAN 16
 INCHES BY 24 INCHES (407 MM BY 610 MM) SHALL BE
 PROVIDED. THE BOTTOM OF THE AREAWAY SHALL BE BELOW THE
 THRESHOLD OF THE ACCESS OPENING. THROUGH WALL ACCESS
 OPENINGS SHALL NOT BE LOCATED UNDER A DOOR TO THE
 RESIDENCE.
  
 9) THE SLOPE OF THE ADDITION'S ROOF IS SPECIFIED AS
 1/8" PER FOOT ON THE PLANS FOR A BUILT UP ROOF. THE
 ROOF SLOPE IS REQUIRED TO BE 1/4" PER FOOT UNLESS THIS
 IS A COAL-TAR BUR.THE SURFACE OF A COAL TAR PITCH BUILT
 UP ROOF IS ALWAYS A FLOOD COAT OF COAL TAR AND
 AGGREGATE, SUCH AS GRAVEL OR CRUSHED STONES. FBC
 R905.9.1 SLOPE. BUILT-UP ROOFS SHALL HAVE A DESIGN
 SLOPE OF A MINIMUM OF ONE-FOURTH UNIT VERTICAL IN 12
 UNITS HORIZONTAL (2-PERCENT SLOPE) FOR DRAINAGE, EXCEPT
 FOR COAL-TAR BUILT-UP ROOFS, WHICH SHALL HAVE A DESIGN
 SLOPE OF A MINIMUM ONE-EIGHTH UNIT VERTICAL IN 12 UNITS
 HORIZONTAL (1-PERCENT SLOPE).
  
 10) ON SHEET 5 DETAILS 2 AND 3 SPECIFY TAP CONS TO
 CONCRETE TO FASTEN THE JOIST CONNECTORS, HOWEVER, THEY
 ARE FASTENING TO A WOOD LEDGER. CLARIFY. FBC 107.2.1
  
 11) DETAIL 1 ON SHEET 5 SPECIFIES 2 X 6 FLOOR JOISTS AT
 24" ON CENTER. THE FLOOR FRAMING PLAN SPECIFIES 2 X 6
 FLOOR JOISTS AT 16" ON CENTER AND THE OTHER DETAILS
 HAVE THEM AT 16" ON CENTER. PLEASE CORRECT. FBC 107.2.1
  
 12) THE WALL SECTIONS ON SHEET 7 HAS 2 X 8 FLOOR JOISTS
 AT 24" O.C. ON ONE AND 16" O.C. ON THE OTHER. CLARIFY.

 13) FBC 107.3.4 - PROVIDE TWO SETS OF PRODUCT APPROVALS
 FOR THOSE PRODUCTS WHICH ARE REGULATED BY DCA RULE 9N-3
 THAT HAVE BEEN REVIEWED AND APPROVED IN WRITING BY THE
 DESIGNER OF RECORD. PROVIDE TWO COMPLETE PRODUCT
 APPROVALS WITH FL OR NOA NUMBERS INCLUDING INSTALLATION
 INSTRUCTIONS AND MAXIMUM DESIGN PRESSURES FOR THE
 ROOFING MATERIALS, WINDOWS AND EXTERIOR DOORS.
  
 14) SHOW COMPLIANCE WITH FBC R314.3.1 WHEN ALTERATIONS,
 REPAIRS OR ADDITIONS REQUIRING A PERMIT OCCUR, OR WHEN
 ONE OR MORE SLEEPING ROOMS ARE ADDED OR CREATED IN
 EXISTING DWELLINGS, THE INDIVIDUAL DWELLING UNIT SHALL
 BE EQUIPPED WITH SMOKE ALARMS LOCATED AS REQUIRED FOR
 NEW DWELLINGS.
  
 15) SHOW COMPLIANCE WITH FBC-R703.6.3 WHERE CEMENT
 PLASTER (STUCCO) IS TO BE APPLIED TO LATH OVER FRAME
 CONSTRUCTION, MEASURES SHALL BE TAKEN TO PREVENT
 BONDING BETWEEN THE CEMENT PLASTER AND THE
 WATER-RESISTIVE BARRIER. A BOND BREAK SHALL BE PROVIDED
 BETWEEN THE WATER-RESISTIVE BARRIER AND THE CEMENT
 PLASTER (STUCCO) CONSISTING OF ONE OF THE FOLLOWING:
 1. TWO LAYERS OF AN APPROVED WATER-RESISTANT BARRIER
 MATERIAL; OR
 2. ONE LAYER OF AN APPROVED WATER-RESISTANT BARRIER
 OVER AN APPROVED PLASTIC HOUSE WRAP; OR
 3. OTHER APPROVED METHODS OR MATERIALS APPLIED IN
 ACCORDANCE WITH THE MANUFACTURER?S INSTALLATION
 INSTRUCTIONS.
  
 16) SHOW COMPLIANCE WITH FBC R301.2.1.2 PROTECTION OF
 OPENINGS. GLAZED OPENINGS IN BUILDINGS LOCATED IN
 WINDBORNE DEBRIS REGIONS SHALL BE PROTECTED FROM
 WINDBORNE DEBRIS. GLAZED OPENING PROTECTION FOR
 WINDBORNE DEBRIS SHALL MEET THE REQUIREMENTS OF THE
 LARGE MISSILE TEST OF ASTM E 1996 AND ASTM E 1886
 REFERENCED THEREIN, SSTD 12, TAS 201, 202 AND 203 OR
 AAMA 506, AS APPLICABLE.
  
 17) THE VALUATION ON THE PERMIT APPLICATION IS LOW. FBC
 109.3 BUILDING PERMIT VALUATION. FOR PERMITTING
 PURPOSES, VALUATION OF BUILDINGS AND SYSTEMS SHALL BE
 TOTAL REPLACEMENT VALUE TO INCLUDE STRUCTURAL,
 ELECTRIC, PLUMBING, MECHANICAL, INTERIOR FINISH,
 RELATIVE SITE WORK, ARCHITECTURAL AND DESIGN FEES,
 MARKETING COSTS, OVERHEAD AND PROFIT; EXCLUDING ONLY
 LAND VALUE. VALUATION REFERENCES MAY INCLUDE THE LATEST
 PUBLISHED DATA OF NATIONAL CONSTRUCTION COST ANALYSIS
 SERVICES (MARSHALL-SWIFT, MEANS, ETC.), AS PUBLISHED BY
 INTERNATIONAL CODE CONGRESS. FINAL BUILDING PERMIT
 VALUATION SHALL BE SET BY THE BUILDING OFFICIAL. REVISE
 ACCORDINGLY.
  
 18) IN ORDER TO REDUCE PLAN REVIEW TIME, PLEASE SUBMIT
 A RESPONSE LETTER INDICATING HOW EACH OF THE REVIEW
