 PLEASE ADDRESS THE ITEMS NOTED BELOW:
  
 THE PLANS THAT WERE SUBMITTED ARE MISSING TOO MUCH
 INFORMATION TO DO AN ADEQUATE PLAN REVIEW. LISTED BELOW
 ARE THE MAIN ISSUES THAT NEED TO BE ADDRESSED.
 ADDITIONAL COMMENTS MAY RESULT WHEN THE REVISED PLANS
 ARE SUBMITTED.
  
 1) FBC 107.2.1 INFORMATION ON CONSTRUCTION DOCUMENTS.
 CONSTRUCTION DOCUMENTS SHALL BE DIMENSIONED AND DRAWN
 UPON SUITABLE MATERIAL. CONSTRUCTION DOCUMENTS SHALL BE
 OF SUFFICIENT CLARITY TO INDICATE THE LOCATION, NATURE
 AND EXTENT OF THE WORK PROPOSED AND SHOW IN DETAIL THAT
 IT WILL CONFORM TO THE PROVISIONS OF THIS CODE AND
 RELEVANT LAWS, ORDINANCES, RULES AND REGULATIONS, AS
 DETERMINED BY THE BUILDING OFFICIAL. SUCH DRAWINGS AND
 SPECIFICATIONS SHALL CONTAIN INFORMATION, IN THE FORM
 OF NOTES OR OTHERWISE, AS TO THE QUALITY OF MATERIALS,
 WHERE QUALITY IS ESSENTIAL TO CONFORMITY WITH THE
 TECHNICAL CODES. SUCH INFORMATION SHALL BE SPECIFIC,
 AND THE TECHNICAL CODES SHALL NOT BE CITED AS A WHOLE
 OR IN PART, NOR SHALL THE TERM "LEGAL" OR ITS
 EQUIVALENT BE USED AS A SUBSTITUTE FOR SPECIFIC
 INFORMATION. ALL INFORMATION, DRAWINGS, SPECIFICATIONS
 AND ACCOMPANYING DATA SHALL BEAR THE NAME AND SIGNATURE
 OF THE PERSON RESPONSIBLE FOR THE DESIGN.
 FBC 107.2.1.4 QUALITY OF BUILDING PLANS. BUILDING PLANS
 SHALL BE DRAWN TO A MINIMUM 1/8 INCH SCALE UPON
 SUBSTANTIAL PAPER, CLOTH OR OTHER ACCEPTABLE MEDIUM.
 THIS POLICY MAY INCLUDE SUCH THINGS AS MINIMUM SIZE,
 SHAPE, CONTRAST, CLARITY, OR OTHER ITEMS RELATED TO
 RECORDS MANAGEMENT.
  
 2) FBC-R 302 FIRE-RESISTANT CONSTRUCTION SUBMIT TWO
 COPIES OF A SURVEY/SITE PLAN THAT SHOWS THE LOCATION OF
 THE ENCLOSED CARPORT AND THE DISTANCES TO PROPERTY
 LINES AND OTHER STRUCTURES LOCATED ON THE SAME
 PROPERTY.
  
 3) FBC-R404.1.6 HEIGHT ABOVE FINISHED GRADE.
 CONCRETE AND MASONRY FOUNDATION WALLS SHALL EXTEND
 ABOVE THE FINISHED GRADE ADJACENT TO THE FOUNDATION AT
 ALL POINTS A MINIMUM OF 4 INCHES (102 MM) WHERE MASONRY
 VENEER IS USED AND A MINIMUM OF 6 INCHES (152 MM)
 ELSEWHERE. PROVIDE TWO COPIES OF AN EXTERIOR WALL
 SECTION THAT SHOWS THE EXTERIOR GRADE, THE FINISH FLOOR
 ELEVATION AND THE CEILING ELEVATION.
  
 4) FBC 107.2.5 SITE PLAN. THE CONSTRUCTION DOCUMENTS
 SUBMITTED WITH THE APPLICATION FOR PERMIT SHALL BE
 ACCOMPANIED BY A SITE PLAN SHOWING TO SCALE THE SIZE
 AND LOCATION OF NEW CONSTRUCTION AND EXISTING
 STRUCTURES ON THE SITE, DISTANCES FROM LOT LINES, THE
 ESTABLISHED STREET GRADES AND THE PROPOSED FINISHED
 GRADES AND, AS APPLICABLE, FLOOD HAZARD AREAS,
 FLOODWAYS, AND DESIGN FLOOD ELEVATIONS; AND IT SHALL BE
 DRAWN IN ACCORDANCE WITH AN ACCURATE BOUNDARY LINE
 SURVEY. IN THE CASE OF DEMOLITION, THE SITE PLAN SHALL
 SHOW CONSTRUCTION TO BE DEMOLISHED AND THE LOCATION AND
 SIZE OF EXISTING STRUCTURES AND CONSTRUCTION THAT ARE
 TO REMAIN ON THE SITE OR PLOT. THE BUILDING OFFICIAL IS
 AUTHORIZED TO WAIVE OR MODIFY THE REQUIREMENT FOR A
 SITE PLAN WHEN THE APPLICATION FOR PERMIT IS FOR
 ALTERATION OR REPAIR OR WHEN OTHERWISE WARRANTED.
  
 5) FBC-R314.3.1 ALTERATIONS, REPAIRS AND ADDITIONS.
 WHEN ALTERATIONS, REPAIRS OR ADDITIONS REQUIRING A
 PERMIT OCCUR, OR WHEN ONE OR MORE SLEEPING ROOMS ARE
 ADDED OR CREATED IN EXISTING DWELLINGS, THE INDIVIDUAL
 DWELLING UNIT SHALL BE EQUIPPED WITH SMOKE ALARMS
 LOCATED AS REQUIRED FOR NEW DWELLINGS.
  
 6) SUBMIT TWO SETS OF A FLOOR PLAN OF THE EXISTING
 STRUCTURE AND PROPOSED ENCLOSED CARPORT ROOM THAT
 SPECIFIES THE ROOM TYPE (E.G. BEDROOM, LIVING ROOM,
 ETC.). THIS IS REQUIRED TO DETERMINE WHAT EFFECT IF ANY
 ENCLOSING THE CARPORT HAS ON THE ROOMS THAT ARE
 ADJACENT TO IT. FBC-R310.1 EMERGENCY ESCAPE AND RESCUE
 REQUIRED. BASEMENTS, HABITABLE ATTICS AND EVERY
 SLEEPING ROOM SHALL HAVE AT LEAST ONE OPERABLE
 EMERGENCY ESCAPE AND RESCUE OPENING.
  
 7) FBC 107.3.5.3 - PROVIDE WIND DESIGN LOADS AND
 COMPONENT AND CLADDING DESIGN PRESSURES PURSUANT TO
 FBC-R301.2 ON THE PLANS.
  
 8) FBC-R 301.1 BUILDINGS AND STRUCTURES, AND ALL PARTS
 THEREOF, SHALL BE CONSTRUCTED TO SAFELY SUPPORT ALL
 LOADS, INCLUDING DEAD LOADS, LIVE LOADS, ROOF LOADS,
 FLOOD LOADS, AND WIND LOADS AS PRESCRIBED BY THIS CODE.
 THE CONSTRUCTION OF BUILDINGS AND STRUCTURES IN
 ACCORDANCE WITH THE PROVISIONS OF THIS CODE SHALL
 RESULT IN A SYSTEM THAT PROVIDES A COMPLETE LOAD PATH
 THAT MEETS ALL REQUIREMENTS FOR THE TRANSFER OF ALL
 LOADS FROM THEIR POINT OF ORIGIN THROUGH THE
 LOAD-RESISTING ELEMENTS TO THE FOUNDATION. SHOW
 COMPLIANCE. THE CONVERSION OF THE CARPORT TO HABITABLE
 SPACE IS A CHANGE OF USE PER THE EXISTING BUILDING CODE
 THE EXISTING STRUCTURE IS REQUIRED TO BE EVALUATED FOR
 STRUCTURAL CONFORMANCE WITH THE 2014 FBC.
  
 9) DETERMINE IF THE EXISTING FOUNDATION THAT IS
 SUPPORTING THE BLOCK IN FILL WALLS IS ADEQUATE. IF IT
 IS MORE THAN JUST A 4" SLAB, SHOW THE EXISTING
 FOUNDATION ON THE PLANS. IF THE SLAB HAS TO BE CUT BACK
 TO INSTALL A NEW FOUNDATION SPECIFY THE SIZE AND
 REINFORCING ON THE PLANS. FBC R403.1
  
 10) SPECIFY THE REQUIRED EMBED DEPTH AND THE TYPE OF
 EPOXY THAT WILL BE USED TO ANCHOR THE VERTICAL
 REINFORCING BARS INTO THE FOUNDATION AND THE TIE BEAM.

 11) SPECIFY THE LENGTH, EMBED DEPTH AND SPACING OF THE
 REBARS THAT ARE SHOWN ANCHORING THE NEW BLOCK WALL TO
 THE EXISTING WALL / COLUMNS. INDICATE THE WALL AND
 COLUMN CONSTRUCTION MATERIALS. (E.G. POURED CONCRETE,
 CONCRETE BLOCK, WOOD) FBC 107.2.1
  
 12) SPECIFY THE SIZE AND TYPE OF WINDOWS THAT WILL BE
 INSTALLED. FBC 107.2.1
  
 13) FBC 107.3.4 - PROVIDE TWO SETS OF PRODUCT APPROVALS
 FOR THOSE PRODUCTS WHICH ARE REGULATED BY DCA RULE 9N-3
 THAT HAVE BEEN REVIEWED AND APPROVED IN WRITING BY THE
 DESIGNER OF RECORD. PROVIDE TWO COMPLETE PRODUCT
 APPROVALS WITH FL OR NOA NUMBERS INCLUDING INSTALLATION
 INSTRUCTIONS AND MAXIMUM DESIGN PRESSURES FOR EACH OF
 THE WINDOWS.
  
 14) SHOW COMPLIANCE WITH FBC - R301.2.1.2 PROTECTION OF
 OPENINGS.
 GLAZED OPENINGS IN BUILDINGS LOCATED IN WINDBORNE
 DEBRIS REGIONS SHALL BE PROTECTED FROM WINDBORNE
 DEBRIS. GLAZED OPENING PROTECTION FOR WINDBORNE DEBRIS
 SHALL MEET THE REQUIREMENTS OF THE LARGE MISSILE TEST
 OF ASTM E 1996 AND ASTM E 1886 REFERENCED THEREIN, SSTD
 12, TAS 201, 202 AND 203 OR AAMA 506, AS APPLICABLE.
 THE APPLICABLE WIND ZONES FOR ESTABLISHING MISSILE
 TYPES IN ASTM E 1996 ARE SHOWN IN SECTION R301.2.1.2.1.
 GARAGE DOOR GLAZED OPENING PROTECTION FOR WINDBORNE
 DEBRIS SHALL MEET THE REQUIREMENTS OF AN APPROVED
 IMPACT-RESISTING STANDARD OR ANSI/DASMA 115.
  
 15) FBC - R 301.2.1.2 SUBMIT TWO COPIES OF AN
 INSTALLATION SCHEDULE AND KEY PLAN FOR THE STORM
 PANELS. SPECIFY THE OPENING SIZE, THE WIND PRESSURES,
 TYPE OF ANCHOR, ANCHOR SPACING, EDGE DISTANCE, PANEL
 LENGTH, PANEL SPAN, SEPARATION DISTANCE FROM PANEL TO
 GLASS AND THE APPLICABLE SECTION NUMBER FROM THE
 INSTALLATION DRAWINGS. I HAVE INCLUDED A LINK TO THE
 CONSTRUCTION SERVICES DEPARTMENT SITE THAT HAS MANY OF
 THE RELATED FORMS INCLUDING THE SCHEDULE FOR
 INSTALLATION OF OPENING PROTECTIVE DEVICES.

 18) SPECIFY THE WALL AND CEILING INSULATION R-VALUES
 THAT CORRESPOND TO THE ENERGY FORMS ON THE PLANS. FBC

 19) IN ORDER TO REDUCE PLAN REVIEW TIME, PLEASE SUBMIT
 A RESPONSE LETTER INDICATING HOW EACH OF THE REVIEW
