 CHECKLIST.
 CODE: FBC-5TH EDITION (2014).
  
  
 NOTE:
 ENGINEER OF RECORD MAY BE CHARGED FOUR TIMES THE PLAN
 REVIEW FEE IF PLANS ARE DENIED THREE OR MORE TIMES AS
 REQUIRED BY FLORIDA STATUTE 553.80(2)(B).
  
  
 1- SURVEY SUBMITTED SHOWS 2.7' SETBACK FROM THE
 PROPERTY LINE ON THE WEST SIDE. ACCORDING TO TABLE
 R302.1(1) FBC-RESIDENTIAL, 5TH EDITION (2014) NEED THE
 FOLLOWING:
 A) OPENINGS ARE NOT ALLOWED.
 RESPONSE: LAUNDRY WINDOW ON THE WEST WALL WAS REMOVED
 BUT A NEW OPENING WAS CREATED FOR THE NEW A/C. NO
 OPENINGS ARE ALLOWED. NEED TO KEEP ONE HOUR FIRE RATING
 ON THE WALL. A/C UNIT WILL BRAKE THE FIRE RATING OF THE
 ASSEMBLY. REVISE AS REQUIRED.
  
 B) NEED 1 HOUR FIRE RESISTANCE WALL WITH EXPOSURE ON
 BOTH SIDES OF THE WEST SIDE WALL. REVISE PLANS AS
 REQUIRED. PROVIDE FIRE RATED WALL DETAIL AND
 SPECIFICATIONS.
 RESPONSE: REPEAT COMMENT. ENGINEER OF RECORD NEEDS TO
 PROVIDE WALL ASSEMBLY DETAIL AND SPECIFICATIONS.
 INFORMATION WAS NOT PROVIDED. NOTE: NEED TO SPECIFY
 ASSEMBLY TESTED IN ACCORDANCE WITH ASTM E119 OR UL 263
 WITH EXPOSURE FROM BOTH SIDES.
  
 2- PROVIDE COMPLETE INFORMATION SHOWING COMPLIANCE WITH
 THE REQUIRED HEATING FOR HABITABLE SPACES. SEC. R303.9
 FBC-RESIDENTIAL.
 RESPONSE: WALL A/C UNIT WITH HEAT LOCATED ON THE WEST
 WALL IS NOT ALLOWED. SEE ITEM #1(A) ABOVE. REVISE AS
 REQUIRED.
  
 3- VALUATION DECLARED IN THE PERMIT APPLICATION IS TOO
 LOW. VALUATION TO INCLUDE ALL LABOR, MATERIALS,
 CONTRACTOR OVERHEAD AND PROFIT AND ALL DESIGN
 PROFESSIONAL FEES AS REQUIRED BY SEC. 109.3 CITY
 AMENDMENTS.
 RESPONSE: REPEAT COMMENT. NOT ADDRESSED AT ALL. PROVIDE
 COPY OF SIGNED CONTRACT FOR THE CONSTRUCTION AND COPY
 OF CONTRACT FOR THE DESIGN PROFESSIONAL.
  
 4- PROVIDE PRODUCT APPROVAL (2 COPIES) AS REQUIRED BY
 FAC 61G20-3.002(33) FOR:
 A) BARN DOORS AS SHOWN ON PLANS.
 RESPONSE: REPEAT COMMENT. REVIEW IS NOT ONLY FOR
 HISTORIC. BUILDING REVIEW IS REQUIRED AS WELL. IF THERE
 IS NOT PRODUCT APPROVAL, THEN PROVIDE COMPLETE SITE
 SPECIFIC ENGINEERING ANALYSIS FOR BUILDING OFFICIAL
 REVIEW AND APPROVAL.
  
 5- ENGINEER OF RECORD TO REVIEW/APPROVE ABOVE PRODUCT
 APPROVAL AS REQUIRED BY SEC. 107.3.4.1 CITY AMENDMENTS.
  
 ***PLEASE PROVIDE RESPONSE LETTER ADDRESSING EACH
 COMMENT TO EXPEDITE THE REVIEW PROCESS.
