 1) IN REFERENCE TO PREVIOUS COMMENTS #9 & 16, THE USE
 OF FLAMEBAR DUCT TO CREATE CONTINUOUS VERTICAL AND
 HORIZONTAL FIRE-RATED SHAFTS FOR SMOKE CONTROL AND
 TOILET EXHAUST SYSTEMS WILL REQUIRE AN ALTERNATE
 MATERIALS AND METHOD APPROVAL BY THE BUILDING OFFICIAL.
 CURRENTLY, THERE ARE NO PROVISIONS IN THE FIFTH EDITION
 FLORIDA BUILDING CODE 2014 THAT ALLOW FOR THE USE OF
 FLAMEBAR DUCT IN
  
 THESE APPLICATIONS- SEE SECTION 713 SHAFT ENCLOSURES.
 ADDITIONALLY THE USE OF FLAMEBAR DUCT FOR THE SMOKE
 CONTROL SYSTEMS IS NOT SPECIFIED IN THE SUBMITTED
 RATIONAL ANALYSIS REPORT FOR THE CANOPY HOTEL BY SLS
 FIRE PROTECTION ENGINEERS- SEE PAGE 20 OF THE REPORT.
 THE FBC-14 DOES ALLOW FOR AN APPROVAL TO USE THE DUCTS
 UNDER SECTION 104.11 ALTERNATE MATERIALS, DESIGN AND
  
 METHODS OF CONSTRUCTION AND EQUIPMENT. IT IS THE TASK
 OF THE DESIGN PROFESSIONAL OF RECORD TO PROVIDE
 SUPPORTING EVIDENCE, REPORTS, AND TESTING DATA AND
 SUBMIT A REQUEST TO THE BUILDING OFFICIAL FOR AN
 APPROVAL. ADDITIONALLY, PLEASE SEE SECTION 703 FIRE
 RESISTANCE RATINGS AND FIRE TESTS FOR ASTM AND UL
 LISTING AND ASSEMBLY INFORMATION.
  
 2) SHEET M2.01, ADVISORY NOTE: ALTHOUGH THE KITCHEN
 HOOD EXHAUST SYSTEM IS UNDER SEPARATE PERMIT, ACCESS TO
 REQUIRED GREASE DUCT CLEANOUTS SHALL BE PROVIDED WHERE
 THE DUCTS ARE RUNNING ABOVE THE FPL VAULT- SECTIONS
 306.1 AND 306.5. PLEASE CONSULT WITH FPL REGARDING THIS
 MATTER AND PROVIDE DETAILS AND NOTES ON THE PLANS.
  
 3) M2.01, ADVISORY NOTE: PLEASE SEE SECTION 506.3.6
 REGARDING THE REQUIRED 18" REQUIRED CLEARANCE TO
 COMBUSTIBLES FOR THE GREASE DUCTS. IF THE INTENTION IS
 TO USE A UL APPROVED DUCT SYSTEM, OR A FIRE-WRAP,
 SPECIFICATIONS FOR EACH SYSTEM SHALL BE PROVIDED.
 PLEASE SEE SECTION 506.3.11.2 FOR FIELD APPLIED GREASE
 DUCT ENCLOSURE. IT IS IMPORTANT TO NOTE THAT WRAPS ARE
 REQUIRED TO BE
  
 APPLIED CONTINUOUSLY WHICH MAY POSE A PROBLEM WHEN
 USING INLINE FAN KEF-1.
  
 3) THE REQUESTED DETAILS FOR CEILING ACCESS PANEL
 CONSTRUCTION ARE NOT SHOWN ON SHEET A5.18 AS INDICATED
 IN THE NARRATIVE RESPONSE. THESE DETAILS MAY BE
 DEFERRED IF NECESSARY, BUT PLEASE NOTE THAT PANELS AS
 SHOWN ON M2.01 DO NOT APPEAR LARGE ENOUGH TO REMOVE THE
 FAN COIL UNITS. SECONDLY, THERE APPEARS TO BE A WOOD
 TRELLIS BLOCKING ACCESS TO THE PANELS AND THE UNITS-
  
 PLEASE CLARIFY.
  
 4) M2.02: PLEASE PLACE A NOTE ON THE PLAN PURSUANT TO
 SECTION 504.4 WHICH PROHIBITS CLOTHES DRYER EXHAUST
 DUCTS FROM RUNNING THROUGH OTHER DUCTS OR PLENUMS.
  
 5) M2.03: REFER TO SECTION 404.1(2) WHICH REQUIRES
 NITROGEN DIOXIDE SENSORS TO BE USED IN CONJUNCTION WITH
 CO SENSORS IN THE PARKING GARAGES- PLEASE REVISE THE
 PLAN ACCORDINGLY.
  
 6) ADVISORY: THE CURRENT LIST OF DEFERRED SUBMITTALS
 FOR THE PROJECT INCLUDE: COMMISSIONING PLAN, FLAMEBAR
 DUCT SPECIFICATIONS AND INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS,
 KITCHEN APPLIANCE SPECIFICATIONS, DRYER AND IRONER
 SPECIFICATIONS, CARBON MONOXIDE/NITROGEN DIOXIDE
 DETECTORS, CEILING ACCESS PANELS, FIRE/SMOKE DAMPERS,
 FIRE DAMPERS, MOTORIZED OUTSIDE AIR, DAMPER ACCESS
 PANELS,
  
 DUCT SMOKE DETECTORS, LOUVERS, GREASE RESEVOIRS, AC
 SYSTEMS, DUCTS, DUCT INSULATIONS, AND REFRIGERANT PIPE
