 CODE: FBC 5TH EDITION (2014).
  
 1- AFTER PLANS ARE REVISED, BRING THEM TO PALM BEACH
 COUNTY (2300 N. JOG RD.) FOR IMPACT FEES ASSESSMENT FOR
 THE NEW ADDITION. BRING BACK COUNTY STAMPED PLANS AND
 COPY OF PAID RECEIPT IF FEES ARE DUE. COUNTY IMPACT FEE
 ORDINANCE OF THE UNIFIED LAND DEVELOPMENT CODE.
  
 2- VALUATION DECLARED IN THE PERMIT APPLICATION IS TOO
 LOW FOR THE ADDITIONAL SCOPE OF WORK (ADDITION AND
 COMPLETE REMODELING OF THE HOUSE). VALUATION TO INCLUDE
 ALL LABOR, MATERIALS CONTRACTOR'S OVERHEAD AND PROFIT
 AND ALL DESIGN PROFESSIONAL FEES AS REQUIRED BY SEC.
 109.3 CITY AMENDMENTS. VALUATION WAS UPDATED TO +/-
 #50,000. THE PERMIT FEE BALANCE IS $3637.50. THIS
 INCLUDES THE 4X FEE FOR WORK WITHOUT PERMIT.
  
 3- SCOPE OF WORK IS NOT CLEAR. PROVIDE WALL LEGEND AND
 CLEARLY IDENTIFY ON PLANS WHICH ARE THE EXISTING WALLS
 TO BE DEMOLISHED, WHICH WALLS ARE EXISTING TO REMAIN
 AND WHICH WALLS ARE NEW. SEC. 107.2.1 CITY AMENDMENTS.
  
 4- A) IT LOOKS LIKE THERE IS A NEW A/C CLOSET ON THE
 SECOND FLOOR ABOVE THE STAIRWAY. PROVIDE DETAIL/SPECS
 SHOWING COMPLIANCE WITH THE STAIRWAY HEADROOM SEC.
 R311.7.2 FBC-RESIDENTIAL, 5TH EDITION (2014).
  
 B) THE NEW A/C CLOSET IS REDUCING THE WIDTH OF THE
 STAIRS. THIS IS NOT ALLOWED. SEC. 701.2 FBC-EXISTING
 BUILDING, 5TH EDITION (2014). REVISE AS REQUIRED.
  
 5- A) REVISE DOOR AND WINDOW SCHEDULE AND FLOOR PLANS.
 ALL WINDOWS AND DOORS SHOWN ON PLANS ARE DENOMINATED AS
 "A". THIS IS INCORRECT. COORDINATE INFORMATION SHOWN ON
 PLANS WITH DOOR AND WINDOW SCHEDULE. CLARIFY SIZE OF
 EXTERIOR DOORS. SEC. 107.2.1 CITY AMENDMENTS. AND,
 CLEARLY IDENTIFY WHICH DOORS AND WINDOWS ARE GOING TO
 BE REPLACED.
  
 B) CLEARLY SPECIFY TYPE AND SIZE OF EXISTING WINDOWS
 (SPECIALLY BEDROOM WINDOWS) AND SIZE AND TYPE OF
 PROPOSED WINDOWS TO VERIFY COMPLIANCE WITH THE BEDROOM
 EGRESS REQUIREMENTS OF SEC. 704 OF FBC-EXISTING
 BUILDING, 5TH EDITION (2014).
 NOTE: DOOR AND WINDOW SCHEDULE SPECIFIES WINDOW TYPE
 "A" AS "(2)SH 24SH". 2 WINDOWS OF THIS SIZE DON'T FIT
 ON THE OPENINGS SHOWN ON PLANS. REVISE AS REQUIRED.
 ALSO, KEEP IN MIND THAT 24 SINGLE HUNG WINDOWS DON'T
 COMPLY WITH EGRESS, SPECIALLY FOR THE SECOND FLOOR.
  
 6- TYPICAL WALL SECTION ON SHEET A2:
 A) REVISE TYPICAL WALL SECTION AND FOOTING SIZE IN
 FOUNDATION SCHEDULE ON SHEET A2 TO SHOW COMPLIANCE WITH
 THE 6" CLEARANCE REQUIRED BY SEC. R404.1.6
 FBC-RESIDENTIAL, 5TH EDITION (2014).
 NOTE: SIZE OF FOOTING SHOWN ON THE TYPICAL WALL SECTION
 DOESN'T MATCH SIZE SHOWN ON THE FOUNDATION SCHEDULE.
 COORDINATE SIZE WITH THE REQUIRED 6" CLEARANCE.
  
 B) CLARIFY IF THIS IS A TYP. WALL SECTION FOR THE NEW
 ADDITION WHY IT SAYS EXISTING GALV. MTL DRIP, EXISTING
 STRAP @ EA, RAFTER, ETC. REVISE AS REQUIRED. CLEARLY
 SPECIFY ALL NEW MATERIALS AND CONNECTORS. SEC. 107.2.1
 CITY AMENDMENTS.

 THAT IS CONNECTING THE 2X BOTTOM WOOD PLATE TO THE

 7- ROOF FRAMING PLAN ON SHEET A2:
 A) SPECIFY CONNECTOR "B" SHOWN ON THE ROOF FRAMING

 B) PROVIDE DETAIL AND SPECIFICATIONS (SIZE AND
 ANCHORING) FOR LEDGER LOCATED AT THE NEW PARAPET WALL
 AND SUPPORTING THE 2X10 ROOF JOISTS. SEC. R301.1

 C) PROVIDE COMPLETE DETAILS AND SPECIFICATIONS FOR THE
 CONSTRUCTION OF THE NEW PARAPETS, INCLUDING THE ONE

 8- PROVIDE PRODUCT APPROVAL (2 COPIES) AS REQUIRED BY
 FAC 61G20-3.002(33) FOR:
 A) EXTERIOR DOORS (SINGLE AND DOUBLE) AS SHOWN ON
 PLANS. FLORIDA PRODUCT APPROVAL FL13540-R3 SUBMITTED IS
 NOT LEGIBLE. PROVIDE CLEAR AND LEGIBLE COVER PAGES AND
 DRAWINGS. AND, MAKE SURE DOOR MEETS THE DESIGN
 PRESSURES RESIST THE DESIGN PRESSURES CALCULATED BY THE
 ENGINEER OF RECORD.
  
 B) ROOF MATERIAL TO BE INSTALLED ON NEW ADDITION. IS
 THIS A LOW SLOPE ROOF?. THEN, CLEARLY IDENTIFY APPROVED
 ASSEMBLY TO BE INSTALLED. AND, PROVIDE SIGNED AND
 SEALED RAS 117 CALCULATIONS IF SELECTED ASSEMBLY
 DOESN'T MEET THE DESIGN PRESSURES FOR ALL ROOF ZONES
 AND IT ALLOWS TO DO NAIL ENHANCEMENT.
  
 C) ALL USP AND SIMPSON STRUCTURAL CONNECTORS SPECIFIED
 BY THE ENGINEER ON PLANS AND DETAILS. PROVIDE ONLY THE
 FLORIDA PRODUCT APPROVAL COVER PAGE AND PAGE SHOWING
 THE SPECIFIED CONNECTOR OR ENGINEER TO LIST THE FLORIDA
 PRODUCT APPROVAL NEXT TO EACH SPECIFIED CONNECTOR.
  
 D) WINDOW MULLIONS AS SHOWN ON PLANS. AND, CLEARLY
 SPECIFY MULLION SIZE TO VERIFY COMPLIANCE WITH THE
 CALCULATED DESIGN PRESSURES.
  
 9- ENGINEER OF RECORD TO REVIEW AND APPROVE IN WRITING
 (NOT SIGNING AND SEALING) ALL PRODUCT APPROVALS AS
 REQUIRED BY SEC. 107.3.4.1 CITY AMENDMENTS.
  
 10- SHEET A1: CLARIFY WHAT'S FEBC CLASS OF WORK?,
 ALTERATION LEVEL 11? SPECIFIED ON THE SPECIAL NOTES.
 NOTE: ACCORDING TO SEC. 505 AND SEC. 507 FBC-EXISTING
 BUILDING, THIS IS ALT. LEVEL 3 AND ADDITION. REVISE
 INFORMATION ON PLANS AS REQUIRED.
