 4B) SEMI ?COMPLIED. THE PLANS NOW SHOW A FIRE RATED
 CORRIDOR WITH THE FIRE RATED WALLS EXTENDING ALL THE
 WAY TO THE ROOF LINE. THE PLANS NOW SHOW FIRE DAMPERS
 WITHIN THE WALLS. THE PLANS DO NOT INDICATE IS HOW
 ACCESS TO THE FIRE DAMPERS WILL BE MAINTAINED NOR THE
 LOCATION OF THE ACCESS PANELS.
 717.4 ACCESS AND IDENTIFICATION. FIRE AND SMOKE DAMPERS
 SHALL BE PROVIDED WITH AN APPROVED MEANS OF ACCESS,
 WHICH IS LARGE ENOUGH TO PERMIT INSPECTION AND
 MAINTENANCE OF THE DAMPER AND ITS OPERATING PARTS. THE
 ACCESS SHALL NOT AFFECT THE INTEGRITY OF
 FIRE-RESISTANCE-RATED ASSEMBLIES. THE ACCESS OPENINGS
 SHALL NOT REDUCE THE FIRE-RESISTANCE RATING OF THE
 ASSEMBLY. ACCESS POINTS SHALL BE PERMANENTLY IDENTIFIED
 ON THE EXTERIOR BY A LABEL HAVING LETTERS NOT LESS THAN
 1/2 INCH (12.7 MM) IN HEIGHT READING: FIRE/SMOKE
 DAMPER, SMOKE DAMPER OR FIRE DAMPER. ACCESS DOORS IN
 DUCTS SHALL BE TIGHT FITTING AND SUITABLE FOR THE
 REQUIRED DUCT CONSTRUCTION

 CEILING ASSEMBLY? THE MECHANICAL SHEET M1 DOES NOT SHOW
 EITHER THE DUCTS PENETRATING THE CORRIDOR CEILING WITH
 FIRE DAMPERS. DEPENDING WHERE THE MAIN TRUNK LINE IS
 PLACED IF ABOVE IN THE ATTIC OR BELOW A RATED CORRIDOR
 CEILING EITHER CEILING DAMPERS WILL BE REQUIRED OR FIRE
 DAMPERS IN THE CORRIDOR WALLS. SEE FBC-B 717.5.4.1
 CORRIDORS. A LISTED SMOKE DAMPER DESIGNED TO RESIST THE
 PASSAGE OF SMOKE SHALL BE PROVIDED AT EACH POINT A DUCT
 OR AIR TRANSFER OPENING PENETRATES A CORRIDOR ENCLOSURE
 REQUIRED TO HAVE SMOKE AND DRAFT CONTROL DOORS IN
 ACCORDANCE WITH SECTION 716.5.3.

 THE 1ST ROUND OF COMMENTS STILL APPLY.
 1ST ROUND COMMENT. FOUNDATION SHEET (A5) VERSES SHEET
 A3 DETAIL 14 CUT SECTION OF EXTERIOR WALL AND
 FOUNDATION. SHEET A5 THE PERIMETER FOUNDATION IS
 INDICATED AS 18 IN. WIDE X 16IN. DEEP. PLEASE SEE SHEET
 A3 DETAIL # 14. THE FINISH FLOOR IS SHOWN AT ELEVATION
 0-0 FT. THE BOTTOM SILL PLATE IS RECESSED, THE
 DIMENSION NOT GIVEN. THE STUCCO SIDING AND
 SUB-SHEATHING STOP ABOVE THE BOTTOM HALF OF THE BOTTOM
 SILL PLATE NOT PROVIDING PROTECTION AGAINST THE WEATHER
 AND PROMOTING ROT. THE 2012 ICC-B CODE COMMENTARY
 2304.11.2.6 ON THIS SECTION INDICATES THE STUCCO AND
 SHEATHING SHOULD EXTEND AT LEAST 1 INCH BELOW THE TOP
 OF THE FOUNDATION. THEN THE 6 INCH CLEARANCE BETWEEN
 THE STUCCO AND SUB-SHEATHING TO EXPOSED GRADE SHOULD
 OCCUR. SECTION 1809.4 OF THE 2014 FBC-B REQUIRES THE
 FOUNDATION TO BE A MINIMUM OF 12 INCHES BELOW GRADE TO
 THE BOTTOM OF THE FOUNDATION. THE VERTICAL DIMENSION OF
 THE FOUNDATION NEEDS TO BE INCREASED TO MEET ALL OF
 THESE CODE REQUIREMENTS.
  
 7) 2ND REQUEST. SHEET A3 DETAIL 14 ALSO INDICATES THE
 USE OF STUCCO AND THE USE OF WIRE LATH. PLEASE SHOW
 COMPLIANCE WITH 2014 FBC-B 2510.6 WATER-RESISTIVE
 BARRIERS. WATER-RESISTIVE BARRIERS SHALL BE INSTALLED
 AS REQUIRED IN SECTION 1404.2 AND, WHERE APPLIED OVER
 WOOD-BASED SHEATHING, SHALL INCLUDE A WATER-RESISTIVE
 VAPOR-PERMEABLE BARRIER WITH A PERFORMANCE AT LEAST
 EQUIVALENT TO TWO LAYERS OF GRADE D PAPER. THE
 INDIVIDUAL LAYERS SHALL BE INSTALLED INDEPENDENTLY SUCH
 THAT EACH LAYER PROVIDES A SEPARATE CONTINUOUS PLANE
 AND ANY FLASHING (INSTALLED IN ACCORDANCE WITH SECTION
 1405.4) INTENDED TO DRAIN TO THE WATER-RESISTIVE
 BARRIER IS DIRECTED BETWEEN THE LAYERS.

 THE NEW DETAIL SHOWS A DROPPED GABLE END TRUSS AND A
 2X4 OUTLOOKER TRUSS CANTILEVERED OVER THE DROPPED GABLE
 END TRUSS. THE ROOF FRAMING PLAN ON THE LEFT SIDE OF
 THE PLAN STILL SHOWS THE LADDER TYPE FRAMING. THE 2X4
 OUTLOOKERS ARE NOT CONTINUED IN TO THE 2ND TRUSS,
 (FIRST COMMON TRUSS). PLEASE ALSO TAKE NOTE OF THE
 HEIGHT OF THE A2 TRUSS 5 FT. 9 1/16 INCH AND THE
 DROPPED GABLE TRUSS OF 5 FT. 3 7/8 INCHES = EQUALS TO A
 5 ? INCH FRAMING MEMBER FOR OUTLOOKERS, NOT A 2X4 AT 3
 ? INCHES. PLEASE CHECK MY MATH FOR ACCURACY.
 1ST ROUND OF COMMENTS. SHEET A-6. THE TRUSS LAYOUT
 SHEET SHOWS WHAT APPEARS TO BE A 2 FT. OVERHANG ON THE
 GABLE END WALLS, THIS DETAIL MAY BE REQUIRED TO BE A
 DROPPED GABLE END. PLEASE NOTE THIS TYPE OF LATTER TYPE
 OVERHANG IS USUALLY FOUND ON TRUSS OVERHANGS OF 12
 INCHES. THE WOOD TRUSSES SHALL BE DESIGNED IN
 ACCORDANCE WITH SECTION 2303.4.
 2303.4.2 TRUSS PLACEMENT DIAGRAM. THE TRUSS
 MANUFACTURER SHALL PROVIDE A TRUSS PLACEMENT DIAGRAM
 THAT IDENTIFIES THE PROPOSED LOCATION FOR EACH
 INDIVIDUALLY DESIGNATED TRUSS AND REFERENCES THE
 CORRESPONDING TRUSS DESIGN DRAWING. THE TRUSS PLACEMENT
 DIAGRAM SHALL BE PROVIDED AS PART OF THE TRUSS
 SUBMITTAL PACKAGE, AND WITH THE SHIPMENT OF TRUSSES
 DELIVERED TO THE JOB SITE. TRUSS PLACEMENT DIAGRAMS
 THAT SERVE ONLY AS A GUIDE FOR INSTALLATION AND DO NOT
 DEVIATE FROM THE PERMIT SUBMITTAL DRAWINGS SHALL NOT BE
