 ***NOTE:
 BUILDING REVIEW MAY BE APPROVED WITH PROVISO. WITH
 PROVISO THE OWNER/BUILDER MAY SUBMIT THE REQUIRED
 INFORMATION AFTER THE PERMIT IS ISSUED AND BEFORE
 REQUIRED INSPECTION TO AVOID CONFLICTS OR DELAYS.
 REVISION FEES MAY APPLY. OWNER/BUILDER TO ADVICE IF THE
 PROVISO OPTION IS PREFERRED AT THIS TIME OR IF
 RE-SUBMITTING REQUIRED INFORMATION BEFORE ISSUING THE
 PERMIT.
  
  
 ORIGINAL COMMENT:
 1- PROVIDE ENERGY CALCULATIONS (2 COPIES) AS REQUIRED
 BY SEC. R101.4.3 OF FBC-ENERGY CONSERVATION, 5TH
 EDITION (2014).
 RESPONSE:
 A) ENERGY CALCULATIONS SUBMITED ARE MISSING THE
 INSPECTION CHECKLIST AS REQUIRED BY SEC. R405.4.2
 FBC-ENERGY CONSERVATION, 5TH EDITION (2014).
  
 B) ITEM #5 SPECIFIES THAT THIS IS NOT WORST CASE.
 CLARIFY WHY PAGE 2 OF 5 SPECIFIES AN ANGLE ROTATION OF
 180 DEGREES. THE CALCULATIONS NEED TO BE DONE TO THE
 ACTUAL ORIENTATION OF THE BUILDING. REVISE THE WALLS,
 DOORS AND WINDOWS INFORMATION ON PAGE 3 OF 5. SEC.
 R101.5.1.1.2 FBC-ENERGY CONSERVATION, 5TH EDITION
 (2014).
 MULTIPLE ORIENTATIONS IS ONLY ALLOWED WHEN THERE IS THE
 CONSTRUCTION OF A BUILDING MODEL.
  
 C) PROVIDE DOCUMENTATION OF THE COMPONENT EFFICIENCIES
 USED FOR THE WINDOWS AND DOORS U-FACTOR AND SHGC FACTOR
 SPECIFIED ON ITEM # 7 OF THE ENERGY CALCULATIONS AS
 REQUIRED BY SEC. R405.4.3 (2) FBC-ENERGY CONSERVATION,
 5TH EDITION (2014).
 NOTE: THIS IS REQUIRED WHEN THE ENERGY CALCULATIONS ARE
 USING ANOTHER EFFICIENCY FACTOR OTHER THAN THE SOFTWARE
 DEFAULT FACTOR FOR GLAZING.
  
 D) ITEM #9(C) CALLS FOR ADJACENT WOOD FRAME WALLS.
 CLARIFY WHERE ARE THE WOOD FRAMED WALLS. PLANS DON'T
 SHOW ANY. SEC. R101.5.1.1.2 FBC-ENERGY CONSERVATION,
 5TH EDITION (2014).
  
 E) COMPLETE ALL THE INFORMATION ON TOP OF FORM
 INCLUDING BUILDER NAME, PERMIT OFFICE, JURISDICTION
 NUMBER. SEC. R101.5.1.1.2 FBC-ENERGY CONSERVATION, 5TH
 EDITION (2014).
  
 ORIGINAL COMMENT:
 2- NEED TO SPECIFY ON PLANS CARBON MONOXIDE ALARMS
 WITHIN 10 FEET OF ALL BEDROOMS AS REQUIRED BY SEC. R315
 OF FBC-RESIDENTIAL, 5TH EDITION (2014).
 RESPONSE: CARBON MONOXIDE ALARMS WERE SPECIFIED FOR THE
 ADDITION ONLY. NEED TO SPECIFY ALARMS FOR ALL BEDROOMS,
 INCLUDING THE EXISTING ONES.
  
 ORIGINAL COMMENT:
 3- EXISTING AND DEMOLITION PLAN ON SHEET 2 SHOWS
 EXISTING MEDIA ROOM. ACCORDING TO CITY RECORDS AND
 PROPERTY APPRAISER THIS ROOM IS AN UNFINISHED ENCLOSED
 PORCH NOT A LIVING SPACE. REVISE AS REQUIRED. THIS ROOM
 MAY BE CONVERTED TO A MEDIA ROOM AS SHOWN ON SHEET 4
 BUT NEEDS TO SHOW COMPLIANCE WITH THE ENERGY
 CALCULATIONS (WALLS AND CEILING INSULATION) AND WITH
 THE ELECTRICAL REQUIREMENTS ( SEE ELECTRICAL REVIEW
 COMMENTS). SEC. 102.2 CITY AMENDMENTS.
 RESPONSE: INFORMATION ON PROPOSED NEW FLOOR PLAN ON
 SHEET #4 WAS REVISED. NOW IT READS "EXISTING ENCLOSED
 PORCH". CLARIFY IF THIS ROOM IS GOING TO BE A MEDIA
 ROOM OR ENCLOSED PORCH.
 SHEET #1 SAYS "EXISTING ENCLOSED PORCH CONVERTED TO NEW
 MEDIA ROOM". PLEASE COORDINATE ALL PLANS IN ORDER TO
 HAVE A PROPER PLAN REVIEW.
  
 ORIGINAL COMMENT:
 4- ROOF SHEATHING SPECIFICATIONS SHOWN ON NAILING
 DETAIL ON SHEET #8, TYPICAL WALL SECTION ON SHEET #9
 AND ROOF SHEATHING NOTES ON SHEET #10 DON'T MATCH
 SPECIFICATIONS SHOWN ON FASTENER SCHEDULE ON SHEET #5.
 REVISE AS REQUIRED TO MATCH. NOTE: SEC. R803.2.3.1
 FBC-RESIDENTIAL REQUIRES 8D RING SHANK NAILS MIN.
 RESPONSE: SPECIFICATIONS WERE NOT CHANGED ON TYPICAL
 WALL SECTION ON SHEET #9.
  
 NEW COMMENT:
 5- TRUSS PACKAGE WAS SUBMITTED AT THIS TIME. THERE IS
 NO NEED TO SUBMITT TRUSS PACKAGE FOR REVIEW. TRUSS
 PACKAGE MAY BE GIVEN TO THE BUILDING INSPECTOR AT TIME
 OF FRAMING INSPECTION. THE FOLLOWING NEEDS TO BE
 ADDRESSED BY THE TRUSS ENGINEER:
 A) NEED ORIGINAL SIGNATURE AS REQUIRED BY CHAPTER 471
 FLORIDA STATUTE WHEN SUBMITTING DOCUMENTS FOR PUBLIC
 RECORDS. RUBBER STAMP IS NOT ALLOWED.
 B) THE COVER PAGE IS MISSING AL THE INFORMATION OF THE
 STRUCTURAL ENGINEER OF RECORD AS REQUIRED BY SEC.
 61G15-31.003.
 C) ALL THE GENERAL STANDARD ENGINEERING PAGES NEED
 ENGINEER'S ORIGINAL SEAL, SIGNATURE, DATE. AS REQUIRED
 BY SEC. 61G15-23.003 AND CHAPTER 471 FLORIDA STATUTES.
 D) REVISED TRUSS PACKAGE TO BE REVIEWED AND APPROVED BY
 THE ENGINEER OF RECORD.
 NOTE: REVISED TRUSS PACKAGE MAY BE SUBMITTED TO THE
 BUILDING INSPECTOR AT TIME OF FRAMING INSPECTION. NO
 NEED TO RESUBMIT NOW.
  
  
 ***PLEASE PROVIDE A RESPONSE LETTER ADDRESSING EACH
 COMMENT TO EXPEDITE THE REVIEW PROCESS.
