 CODE: FBC 5TH EDITION (2014).
  
 1- SCOPE OF WORK SHOWN ON PLANS IS NOT CLEAR. THE DEMO
 FLOOR PLAN, THE KEY PLAN AND THE REMODELING NOTES SHOWN
 ON SHEET S1.1 DON'T MATCH. THE DEMO PLAN SHOWS
 EVERYTHING IN DOTTED LINE. WHY?. IS EVERYTHING GOING TO
 BE REMOVED?. THE DEMO PLAN ALSO SHOWS SOME AREAS WITH
 DIAGONALLY HATCHED LINES. WHAT IS THE WORK TO BE DONE
 ON THOSE AREAS. THERE IS NO WALL LEGEND IDENTIFYING
 THIS HATCHED LINES. CLEARLY IDENTIFY EACH WINDOW AND
 DOOR THAT IS GOING TO BE REPLACED. SEC. 107.2.1 CITY
 AMENDMENTS.
  
 2- VALUATION DECLARED IN THE PERMIT APPLICATION IS TOO
 LOW. VALUATION TO INCLUDE ALL LABOR, MATERIALS,
 CONTRACTOR'S OVERHEAD AND PROFIT AND ALL DESIGN
 PROFESSIONAL FEES AS REQUIRED BY SEC. 109.3 CITY
 AMENDMENTS. REVISE VALUATION BASED ON ALL THE SCOPE OF
 WORK SHOWN ON PLANS. AND ADD THE DESIGN PROFESSIONAL
 FEES. NOTE: INCLUDE THE KITCHEN RENOVATION, THE REAR
 ENCLOSED PORCH THAT WAS ALTERED FOR KITCHEN EXPANSION
 AND ALL THE REPAIRS TO THE EXTERIOR WALLS.
  
 3- AFTER PLANS ARE REVISED BRING, THEM TO PALM BEACH
 COUNTY (2300 N. JOG RD) FOR IMPACT FEES ASSESSMENT.
 (REAR ENCLOSED PORCH WAS ALTERED FOR KITCHEN EXPANSION.
 SEE NEW KITCHEN LAYOUT). BRING BACK COUNTY STAMPED
 PLANS AND COPY OF PAID RECEIPT IF FEES ARE DUE. COUNTY
 IMPACT FEE ORDINANCE OF THE UNIFIED LAND DEVELOPMENT
 CODE.
  
 4- PLYWOOD SHUTTERS ARE NOT ALLOWED. THE EXCEPTION ON
 SEC. R301.2.1.2 OF FBC-RESIDENTIAL TO USE PLYWOOD
 SHUTTERS ONLY APPLY TO BUILDINGS WHERE THE NOMINAL
 DESIGN WIND SPEED (VASD) DOES NOT EXCEED 130 MPH. THIS
 BUILDING IS LOCATED IN 132MPH (VASD). THEREFORE NEED TO
 PROVIDE DOORS AND WINDOWS WITH IMPACT GLAZING OR
 PROVIDE HURRICANE SHUTTERS. REVISE PLANS AS REQUIRED.
  
 5- CLEARLY IDENTIFY ON PLANS THE BEDROOM WINDOWS THAT
 ARE GOING TO BE REPLACED AND SPECIFY EXISTING WINDOW
 TYPE AND SIZE AND PROPOSED WINDOW TYPE AND SIZE TO
 VERIFY COMPLIANCE WITH THE EGRESS REQUIREMENTS OF SEC.
 704 OF FBC-EXISTING BUILDING, 5TH EDITION (2014).
  
 6- PROVIDE PRODUCT APPROVAL (2 COPIES) AS REQUIRED BY
 FAC 61G20-3.002(33) FOR:
 A) RELOCATED ENTRY DOOR AS SHOWN ON PLANS.
  
 B) HURRICANE SHUTTERS SINCE PLYWOOD SHUTTERS ARE NOT
 ALLOWED. AND, PROVIDE COMPLETE INSTALLATION SCHEDULE.
  
 C) ALL SIMPSON STRUCTURAL CONNECTORS SPECIFIED ON
 PLANS. PROVIDE ONLY THE FLORIDA PRODUCT APPROVAL COVER
 PAGE AND PAGE SHOWING THE SPECIFIED CONNECTOR OR
 ENGINEER TO LIST THE FLORIDA PRODUCT APPROVAL NUMBER
 NEXT TO EACH SPECIFIED CONNECTOR.
  
 D) VINYL SIDING AS SPECIFIED ON PLANS.
  
 E) WINDOW MULLIONS (IF USED). AND CLEARLY IDENTIFY SIZE
 TO VERIFY COMPLIANCE WITH THE DESIGN PRESSURES.
  
 7- ENGINEER TO APPROVE ABOVE PRODUCT APPROVALS AS
 REQUIRED BY SEC. 107.3.4.1 CITY AMENDMENTS.
  
 ***PLEASE PROVIDE RESPONSE LETTER ADDRESSING EACH
 COMMENT TO EXPEDITE THE REVIEW PROCESS.
