 MARSHAL, WITH THE FORLLOWING COMMENTS:
  
 1. SHEET T 1 - PROJECT DATA INDICATES A PROPOSED
 BUSINESS AND ASSEMBLY OCCUPANCY. IS THE PROPOSED A
 SINGLE 2 STORY OCCUPANCY OR TWO INDIVIDUAL OCCUPANCIES?
 IF SO IT IS A MIXED OCCUPANCY OR SEPARATED OCCUPANCY.
  
 2. SHEET LS 1 - NO OCCUPANCY LOADS ARE INDICATED.
  
 BASED ON THIS REVIEW A FIRE SPRINKLER SYSTEM IS
 REQUIRED.
  
 3. SHEET LS 1 - THE INDICATED EXIT SEPARATION ON THE
 2ND FLOOR IS NOT CODE COMPLAINT. PER NFPA 101, CHAPTER
 7, 7.5.1.3.2, WHERE TWO EXITS, EXIT ACCESSES, OR EXIT
 DISCHARGES ARE REQUIRED, THEY SHALL BE LOCATED AT A
 DISTANCE FROM ONE ANOTHER NOT LESS THAN ONE-HALF THE
 LENGTH OF THE MAXIMUM OVERALL DIAGONAL DIMENSION OF THE
 BUILDING OR AREA TO BE SERVED, MEASURED IN A STRAIGHT
 LINE BETWEEN THE NEAREST EDGE OF THE EXITS, EXIT
 ACCESSES, OR EXIT DISCHARGES.
  
 4. SHEETS A 1 - A 2 - NO DETAIL OF THE MEZZANINE IS
 PROVIDED.
  
 NFPA 101 CHAPTER 8, 8.6.10.2.1 THE AGGREGATE AREA OF
 MEZZANINES LOCATED WITHIN A ROOM, OTHER THAN THOSE
 LOCATED IN SPECIAL-PURPOSE INDUSTRIAL OCCUPANCIES,
 SHALL NOT EXCEED ONE-THIRD THE OPEN AREA OF THE ROOM IN
 WHICH THE MEZZANINES ARE LOCATED. ENCLOSED SPACE SHALL
 NOT BE INCLUDED IN A DETERMINATION OF THE SIZE OF THE
 ROOM IN WHICH THE MEZZANINE IS LOCATED.
 8.6.10.2.3 FOR PURPOSES OF DETERMINING THE ALLOWABLE
 MEZZANINE AREA, THE AGGREGATE AREA OF THE MEZZANINE
 SHALL NOT BE INCLUDED IN THE AREA OF THE ROOM.
  
 THE PROPOSED MEZZANINE IS NOT APPROVED.
  
 5. FIRE FIGHTER'S EMERGENCY OPERATIONS. ALL NEW
 ELEVATORS SHALL CONFORM TO THE FIRE FIGHTER'S EMERGENCY
 OPERATIONS REQUIREMENTS OF ASME A17.1/CSA B44, SAFETY
 CODE FOR ELEVATORS.
  
 6. SHEET LS 1 - THE EXIT WIDTH AT THE FRONT DOOR IS NOT
 ADAQUATE FOR THE OCCUPANCY LOADS.
  
 7. SHEET A 1 - THERE APPEARS TO BE A COLUMN SUPPORTING
 THE MEZZANINE IN THE EXIT PATH FROM THE 2ND FLOOR
 STAIRWAY. NO DETAIL IS PROVIDED FOR THIS COLUMN, AND/OR
 HEADROOM DIMENSIONS AND/OR FIRE RATING.
  
 8. SHEET E 3 - SHOULD THE PROPOSED USE BE SEPARATE INTO
 TWO OCCUPANCIES, THE FIRE ALARMS SHALL BE SEPARATED.
  
 9. SHEET LS 1 - THE EXIT ARROW INDICATORS AT THE FIRST
 FLOOR ELEVATOR LOBBY POINT TO INCORRECT DIRECTION;
 TOWARDS THE UP STAIRWAY, PLEASE CORRECT.
  
 10. SHEET A 1 - NO DETAIL IS INDICATED FOR THE 1ST
 FLOOR FIRE RATED WALL AS IT INTERACTS WITH THE
 MEZZANINE. IS THERE A FIRE RATING FOR THE EXPOSED AREAS
 OF THE STRUCTURE OF THE MEZZANINE?
  
 11. SHEET A 5 - DOORS 103 AND 202 REQUIRE PANIC
 HARDWARE.
  
 12. SHEET A 1 - THE ELEVATOR LOBBY SHALL BE SEPARATED
 FROM THE EXIT COORIDOR ON BOTH FLOOR LEVEL.
