2015-11-08 10:00:411ST REVIEW: FBC 2014 5TH ED.
 ADMINISTRATIVE REVIEW INTENDED TO PROVIDE DIRECTION TO
 THE APPLICANT AS TO HOW TO PROCEED.
  
 IT APPEARS THE PURPOSE OF THIS APPLICATION IS TO
 ATTEMPT TO LEGALLY ESTABLISH AN ATTACHED STORAGE ROOM
 THAT WAS BUILT WITHOUT A PERMIT HOWEVER; THE
 APPLICATION DESCRIPTION ONLY INDICATES POURING A SLAB
 AND IS VALUED AT $500.00. THE VALUE IS INCREASED TO
 $6,020.00 BASED FBC 109.3 AND THE RESULTING INCREASED
 PERMIT FEES IS TBD AND MUST BE PAID IN FULL PRIOR TO
 THE REVIEW CONTINUING FURTHER. THE PLANS SHOW CREATING
 A NEW FOUNDATION AND DO NOT INDICATING THE STRUCTURE
 ABOVE WAS CONSTRUCTED WITHOUT A PERMIT AND DOES NOT
 CERTIFY THE WORK IS CODE COMPLIANT, AND DOES NOT
 SPECIFY MEANS AND METHODS TO ASSURE THE STRUCTURE WILL
 BE CODE COMPLIANT. MORE DESCRIPTIVE PLANS ARE REQUIRED
 AS WELL AS AN ENGINEER'S EVALUATION OF ALL THE
 STRUCTURE WITH IN ORDER TO EVALUATE, AND SPECIFY
 REQUIRED ENHANCEMENTS AND TO CERTIFY ANY WORK THAT IS
 COVERED SUCH AS BUT NOT LIMITED TO ALL NAILING,
 STRAPPING, AND ALL ROOF COVERING COMPONENTS, PRODUCT
 APPROVAL OF ROOFING, WINDOWS, AND DOORS ARE REQUIRED TO
 BE SUPPLIED AND REVIEWED BY THE DESIGNER OF RECORD.
  
 NOTE: THE OWNER MAY WISH TO CONSIDER DEMOLITION AS AN
 OPTION FOR THE 140 SF ILLEGALLY ESTABLISHED ADDITION.

 107.2.1 INFORMATION ON CONSTRUCTION DOCUMENTS.
 CONSTRUCTION DOCUMENTS SHALL BE DIMENSIONED AND DRAWN
 UPON SUITABLE MATERIAL. ELECTRONIC MEDIA DOCUMENTS
 SHALL BE SUBMITTED WHEN APPROVED BY THE BUILDING
 OFFICIAL. CONSTRUCTION DOCUMENTS SHALL BE OF SUFFICIENT
 CLARITY TO INDICATE THE LOCATION, NATURE AND EXTENT OF
 THE WORK PROPOSED AND SHOW IN DETAIL THAT IT WILL
 CONFORM TO THE PROVISIONS OF THIS CODE AND RELEVANT
 LAWS, ORDINANCES, RULES AND REGULATIONS, AS DETERMINED
 BY THE BUILDING OFFICIAL. SUCH DRAWINGS AND
 SPECIFICATIONS SHALL CONTAIN INFORMATION, IN THE FORM
 OF NOTES OR OTHERWISE, AS TO THE QUALITY OF MATERIALS,
 WHERE QUALITY IS ESSENTIAL TO CONFORMITY WITH THE
 TECHNICAL CODES. SUCH INFORMATION SHALL BE SPECIFIC,
 AND THE TECHNICAL CODES SHALL NOT BE CITED AS A WHOLE
 OR IN PART, NOR SHALL THE TERM "LEGAL" OR ITS
 EQUIVALENT BE USED AS A SUBSTITUTE FOR SPECIFIC
 INFORMATION. ALL INFORMATION, DRAWINGS, SPECIFICATIONS
 AND ACCOMPANYING DATA SHALL BEAR THE NAME AND SIGNATURE
 OF THE PERSON RESPONSIBLE FOR THE DESIGN. (SEE ALSO
 SECTION 107.3.5).
  
 FBC 107.3.4 - PROVIDE PRODUCT APPROVALS FOR THOSE
 PRODUCTS WHICH ARE REGULATED BY FAC RULE 9N-3 REVIEWED
 AND APPROVED IN WRITING BY THE DESIGNER OF RECORD.
 SPECIFICALLY, PROVIDE ROOFING, WINDOW, AND DOOR
 SUBMITTALS.
  
 FBC 107.3.5.3 ? INDICATE THE MEANS OF TERMITE
 PROTECTION PROPOSED PURSUANT TO FBC-R318.
  
 GENERAL AFTER THE FACT PERMITS
  
 FBC 110.1 GENERAL. CONSTRUCTION OR WORK FOR WHICH A
 PERMIT IS REQUIRED SHALL BE SUBJECT TO INSPECTION BY
 THE BUILDING OFFICIAL AND SUCH CONSTRUCTION OR WORK
 SHALL REMAIN ACCESSIBLE AND EXPOSED FOR INSPECTION
 PURPOSES UNTIL APPROVED.
  
 FBC 117 - THE BUILDING OFFICIAL MAY REQUIRE TESTS OR
 TEST REPORTS AS PROOF OF COMPLIANCE. REQUIRED TESTS ARE
 TO BE MADE AT THE EXPENSE OF THE OWNER, OR AGENT, BY AN
 APPROVED TESTING LABORATORY OR OTHER APPROVED AGENCY.
