 SHEET ADE001: PROVIDE DRAWING NOTE INDICATING ALL
 CONSTRUCTION AND DEMOLITION WORK SHALL CONFORM TO THE
 REQUIREMENTS OF NFPA 241. TRASH AND CONSTRUCTION DEBRIS
 SHALL BE REMOVED FROM THE SITE DAILY. SMOKING SHALL BE
 PROHIBITED EXCEPT IN DESIGNATED EXTERIOR AREAS. ALL
 OTHER DEMOLITION OR CONSTRUCTION AREAS SHALL HAVE "NO
 SMOKING" SIGNS POSTED. WHERE SMOKING IS PERMITTED, SAFE
 RECEPTACLES FOR SMOKING MATERIALS SHALL BE PROVIDED.
  
 SHEET ADE001: PROVIDE DRAWING NOTE INDICATING, "FIRE
 PROTECTION SYSTEMS SHALL REMAIN ACTIVE DURING
 DEMOLITION AND RENOVATION ACTIVITIES. IN THE EVENT A
 FIRE PROTECTION SYSTEM IS OUT OF SERVICE FOR MORE THAN
 4-HOURS IN A 24-HOUR PERIOD, THE BUILDING SHALL BE
 PLACED UNDER A FIRE WATCH. ALL FIRE WATCH REQUESTS MUST
 BE SUBMITTED BY EMAIL ([email protected]) AND APPROVED BY
 THE OFFICE OF THE FIRE MARSHAL LOCATED AT 500 NORTH
 DIXIE HIGHWAY."
  
 LIFE SAFETY PLANS ARE DIFFICULT TO READ DUE TO
 EXTREMELY LIGHT AND DARK DRAWING LINE WEIGHTS. PLANS
 SHALL INDICATE FIRE RATED WALLS, EXIT TRAVEL DISTANCES,
 COMMON PATH OF TRAVEL DISTANCE, DEAD-END CORRIDOR
 LENGTHS, ETC.
  
 SHEET AE121.4 & AE121M.4: THE ADD/ALTERNATE STORAGE
 MEZZANINE APPEARS TO CREATE A COMMON PATH OF TRAVEL OF
 APPROXIMATELY 130 - 150 FEET TO REACH AN EXIT/EXIT
 ACCESS CORRIDOR. FULLY SPRINKLERED STORAGE OCCUPANCIES
 ARE LIMITED TO A COMMON PATH OF TRAVEL OF 100 FEET.
  
 SHEET AE121.4: WOODSHOP C164 REQUIRES A 1-HOUR FIRE
 BARRIER HAZARD SEPARATION FROM THE STORAGE OCCUPANCY
 PER NFPA 1 SECTION 8.7 - SPECIAL HAZARD PROTECTION.
  
 SHEET AE121.4: HOW WILL WOODSHOP C164 BE PROTECTED TO
 PREVENT A DUST EXPLOSION? PER NFPA 101 SECTION 8.7.2 -
 EXPLOSION PROTECTION, WHERE HAZARDOUS PROCESSES OR
 STORAGE IS OF SUCH A CHARACTER AS TO INTRODUCE AN
 EXPLOSION POTENTIAL, AN EXPLOSION VENTING SYSTEM OR AN
 EXPLOSION SUPPRESSION SYSTEM SPECIFICALLY DESIGNED FOR
 THE HAZARD INVOLVED SHALL BE PROVIDED.
  
 SHEET AE121.4: MOTHERS' ROOM #C170 APPEARS TO BE
 LOCATED BELOW THE FIRE RATED STAIR AND WILL REQUIRE THE
 CEILING AND DOOR TO BE PROVIDED WITH A FIRE RATING
 EQUAL TO THE PROTECTED STAIR ENCLOSURE.
  
 SHEET AE121M.4: EXISTING PLANS INDICATE THERE IS A
 LARGE STORAGE ROOM (C205) TO THE WEST OF STAIR #1 THAT
 HAS ACCESS TO BOTH STAIR #1 & STAIR #2. THIS FLOOR PLAN
 APPEARS TO ELIMINATE ACCESS TO STAIR #2 FROM THE
 STORAGE ROOM.
  
 SHEET AE121M.4: PLANS DO NOT INDICATE OF EITHER
 STAIRWELL #1 ENTRANCE DOOR HAS AN EXISTING FIRE RATING.
  
 SHEET AE121M.4: STAIRWELL #2 DOOR C212 DOES NOT
 INDICATE A FIRE RATING AND IS NOT LOCATED IN THE DOOR
 SCHEDULE.
  
 ENGINEERED FIRE SPRINKLER CONSTRUCTION DOCUMENTS ARE
 REQUIRED FOR A GENERAL BUILDING PERMIT. AFTER THE
 BUILDING PERMIT HAS BEEN ISSUED, THE SUBCONTRACTORS CAN
 THEN SUBMIT SHOP DRAWINGS (CONFORMING TO THE ENGINEERED
 CONSTRUCTION DOCUMENTS) FOR A SUB-PERMIT.
