 *****NOTE: ACCORDING TO FLORIDA STATUTE 553.80(2)(B)
 ENGINEER OF RECORD MAY BE CHARGED FOUR TIMES THE PLAN
 REVIEW FEE EACH TIME AFTER THE THIRD REVIEW IS
 REJECTED.
  
  
 1- PLANS SHOW NEW OPENINGS FOR GARAGE OVERHEAD DOORS.
 PROVIDE COMPLETE FRAMING DETAILS AND SPECIFICATIONS FOR
 THE NEW GARAGE DOORS. SPECIFY REINFORCEMENT AT THE ENDS
 OF EACH OPENING. SPECIFY LINTEL OR BEAM, SPECIFY
 STRUCTURAL BUCK ATTACHMENT, ETC. SEC. R301 OF
 FBC-RESIDENTIAL, 5TH EDITION (2014).
  
 RESPONSE: A) DETAIL SUBMITTED DOESN'T PROVIDE COMPLETE
 STRUCTURAL SPECIFICATIONS FOR THE REINFORCEMENT AT THE
 ENDS OF EACH OPENING. IT ONLY SPECIFIES "SAWCUT CMU TO
 ALLOW (2)#5 R.B. VERT. FTG, TO BM. TYP. EA. GARAGE DOOR
 W/SET22 EPOXY". THIS SPECIFICATION IS VERY DEFICIENT.
 IT DOESN'T SPECIFY HOW THE CMU CELLS ARE FILLED AND HOW
 MUCH EMBEDMENT IS REQUIRED FOR THE REBARS. ALSO, A NEW
 OPENING WAS CREATED FOR THE SECOND GARAGE DOOR.
 ACCORDING TO THE PROPERTY APPRAISER STREET VIEW OF THIS
 BUILDING, THERE IS A WINDOW WHERE THE SECOND GARAGE
 DOOR IS PROPOSED TO BE INSTALLED. THE EXISTING WINDOW
 OPENING IS NOT THE SAME SIZE AS THE PROPOSED GARAGE
 DOOR OPENING. THE GARAGE DOOR BUCK DETAIL SUBMITTED
 SPECIFIES EXISTING CONCRETE HEADER BEAM. IT LOOKS LIKE
 THE EXISTING HEADER BEAM SIZE MAY NOT BE LONG ENOUGH TO
 COVER THE NEW OPENING AND HOW THE ENGINEER KNOWS THAT
 EXISTING HEADER IS STRONG ENOUGH TO SUPPORT THE
 PROPOSED LOAD?. ENGINEER OF RECORD TO PROVIDE COMPLETE
 AND CLEAR STRUCTURAL SPECIFICATIONS THAT REFLECT THE
 EXISTING AND PROPOSED CONDITIONS.
  
 NOTE: SECOND FLOOR PLAN SHOWS AN "EXISTING CMU WALL"
 DIVIDING THE LIVING AREA AND THE BEDROOM. IT LOOKS
 UNUSUAL TO HAVE AN INTERIOR MASONRY WALL ON THE SECOND
 FLOOR. CLARIFY IF THIS IS A TRUE MASONRY WALL. IF SO,
 THEN PROVIDE SPECIFICATIONS SHOWING HOW THE BEAM FOR
 THE NEW GARAGE DOOR OPENING BELOW IS REINFORCED TO
 SUPPORT THE WALL ABOVE. SEC. R301.1
  
 B) ANCHOR SPECIFICATIONS SHOWN ON THE GARAGE DOOR BUCK
 DETAIL AND THE NEW GARAGE DOOR BUCK DETAIL "C" DON'T
 MATCH. REVISE SIZE AND SPACING. SEC. 107.2.1 CITY
 AMENDMENTS.
  
 C) NEW GARAGE DOOR BUCK DETAIL "C" IS NOT DRAWN TO
 SCALE. PROVIDE DETAIL DRAWN TO SCALE SO CORRECT NUMBER
 OF ANCHORS ARE SHOWN. SEC. 107.2.1 CITY AMENDMENTS.
  
 2- ENERGY CALCULATIONS SUBMITTED:
 A) OWNER/AGENT TO CERTIFY BOTTOM OF FORM AS REQUIRED BY
