 *****NOTE: ACCORDING TO FLORIDA STATUTE 553.80(2)(B)
 ENGINEER OF RECORD MAY BE CHARGED FOUR TIMES THE PLAN
 REVIEW FEE EACH TIME AFTER THE THIRD REVIEW.
  
  
 1- PLANS SHOW NEW OPENINGS FOR GARAGE OVERHEAD DOORS.
 PROVIDE COMPLETE FRAMING DETAILS AND SPECIFICATIONS FOR
 THE NEW GARAGE DOORS. SPECIFY REINFORCEMENT AT THE ENDS
 OF EACH OPENING. SPECIFY LINTEL OR BEAM, SPECIFY
 STRUCTURAL BUCK ATTACHMENT, ETC. SEC. R301 OF
 FBC-RESIDENTIAL, 5TH EDITION (2014).
  
 RESPONSE: A) DETAIL SUBMITTED DOESN'T PROVIDE ANY
 STRUCTURAL SPECIFICATIONS FOR THE REINFORCEMENT AT THE
 ENDS OF EACH OPENING. THERE ARE NO SPECIFICATIONS
 SHOWING HOW THE EXISTING MASONRY WALLS ARE REINFORCED
 TO RECEIVE THE LOADS OF THE NEW GARAGE DOORS.
  
 B) SPECIFY HOW MUCH EMBEDMENT IS REQUIRED FOR THE 1/2
 ANCHOR BOLTS SPECIFIED ON THE GARAGE DOOR BUCK DETAIL.
 SEC. R301 OF FBC-RESIDENTIAL, 5TH EDITION (2014).
  
 2- PROVIDE ENERGY CALCULATIONS (2 COPIES) AS REQUIRED
 BY SEC. R101.4.3 OF FBC-ENERGY CONSERVATION, 5TH
 EDITION (2014).
 NOTE: ONLY THE FRONT BUILDING IS CONTRIBUTING HISTORIC
 BUILDING. THE REAR BUILDING IS NOT. THEREFORE, IT'S NOT
 EXEMPT FROM THE ENERGY CODE.
  
 RESPONSE: RESPONSE LETTER STATES "A/C & HEAT UNDER
 SEPARATE PERMIT W/ ENERGY CALCULATIONS". THIS DOESN'T
 ADDRESS THE COMMENT. ENERGY CALCULATIONS AND A/C & HEAT
 CALCULATIONS ARE TWO DIFFERENT THINGS. THE INFORMATION
 FOR THE A/C & HEAT CALCULATIONS ALONG WITH THE A/C
 PLANS MAY BE SUBMITTED UNDER A SEPARATE PERMIT BUT THE
 ENERGY CALCULATIONS NEED TO BE SUBMITTED NOW.
  
 3- PROVIDE COMPLETE DETAILS AND SPECIFICATIONS FOR THE
 DWELLING/GARAGE FIRE SEPARATION AS REQUIRED BY SEC.
 R302.6 OF FBC RESIDENTIAL, 5TH EDITION (2014).
  
 RESPONSE: SPECIFICATIONS ON PLANS DOESN'T SPECIFY THE
 TYPE OF GYPSUM WALL BOARD AS REQUIRED BY TABLE R302.6
 OF FBC RESIDENTIAL, 5TH EDITION (2014).
