 1B) SHEET A3 DEPICTING THE (1) 9 INCH STEPS WILL NEED
 TO COMPLY WITH:
 IF ONLY ONE 9 INCH STEP PER LANDING SEE 2010 FBC-B
 1003.5. WHERE CHANGES IN ELEVATION OF LESS THAN 12
 INCHES (305 MM) EXIST IN THE MEANS OF EGRESS, SLOPED
 SURFACES SHALL BE USED. WHERE THE SLOPE IS GREATER THAN
 ONE UNIT VERTICAL IN 20 UNITS HORIZONTAL (5-PERCENT
 SLOPE), RAMPS COMPLYING WITH SECTION 1010 SHALL BE
 USED. WHERE THE DIFFERENCE IN ELEVATION IS 6 INCHES
 (152 MM) OR LESS, THE RAMP SHALL BE EQUIPPED WITH
 EITHER HANDRAILS OR FLOOR FINISH MATERIALS THAT
 CONTRAST WITH ADJACENT FLOOR FINISH MATERIALS.

 2010 FBC-B 1009.4.2 RISER HEIGHT AND TREAD DEPTH. STAIR
 RISER HEIGHTS SHALL BE 7 INCHES (178 MM) MAXIMUM AND 4
 INCHES (102 MM) MINIMUM.
  
 1D) HANDRAILS ARE TO COMPLY WITH 2010 FBC-ACCESSIBILITY
 CODE. 505.2 WHERE REQUIRED. HANDRAILS SHALL BE PROVIDED
 ON BOTH SIDES OF STAIRS AND RAMPS.
 EXCEPTION: IN ASSEMBLY AREAS, HANDRAILS SHALL NOT BE
 REQUIRED ON BOTH SIDES OF AISLE RAMPS WHERE A HANDRAIL
 IS PROVIDED AT EITHER SIDE OR WITHIN THE AISLE WIDTH.
 505.3 CONTINUITY.
 HANDRAILS SHALL BE CONTINUOUS WITHIN THE FULL LENGTH OF
 EACH STAIR FLIGHT OR RAMP RUN. INSIDE HANDRAILS ON
 SWITCHBACK OR DOGLEG STAIRS AND RAMPS SHALL BE
 CONTINUOUS BETWEEN FLIGHTS OR RUNS.
 EXCEPTION: IN ASSEMBLY AREAS, HANDRAILS ON RAMPS SHALL
 NOT BE REQUIRED TO BE CONTINUOUS IN AISLES SERVING
 SEATING.
  
 1E) THE NONE PLANS SHOW HOW THE RAISED PLATFORMS ARE TO
 BE CONSTRUCTED. IS THE BASE TO BE STRUCTURAL FOAM OR TO
 BE BUILT UP UNDER THE REQUIREMENTS OF 2010 FBC-B 410.4
 NOTE THE 1/3RD THE ROOM REQUIREMENT. IF STRUCTURAL FOAM
 THE FOAM HAS TO BE FULLY ENCASED ON ALL SIDES BY
 CONCRETE TO ENCAPSULATE THE FOAM.
  
 1F) PLEASE INDICATE COMPLIANCE WITH: 2010
 FBC-ACCESSIBILITY CODE 802.2 LINE OF SIGHT AND 802.3
 COMPANION SEATING.
  
 2) SHEET A-1.1 SHOWS (2) ROOMS WITH SLIDDING DOORS,
 TOM'S OFFICE ROOM # 328 WITH AN OCCUPANT LOAD OF 5 &
 TOM'S CONFERENCE ROOM # 329 WITH A OCCUPANT LOAD OF 7.
 THE FBC-B 1008.1.2 REQUIRES THE EGRESS DOORS TO BE
 EITHER PIVOTS OR SIDE HINGED SWINGING TYPE. EXCEPTION #
 9 ALLOWS MANUALLY OPERATED HORIZONTAL SLIDING DOORS ARE
 PERMITTED IN A MEANS OF EGRESS FROM A SPACE WITH AN
 OCCUPANT LOAD OF 10 OR LESS.
  
 3) WHEN RESUBMITTING PLANS PLEASE INDICATE THE REVISION
 & REMOVE ANY VOIDED SHEETS & REPLACE ANY PAGES AS
 NECESSARY. A TRANSMITTAL LETTER LISTING THE ORIGINAL
 REVIEW COMMENT NUMBER, WITH A DESCRIPTION OF THE
 REVISION MADE, IDENTIFYING THE SHEET OR SPECIFICATION
 PAGE WHERE THE CHANGES CAN BE FOUND WILL HELP TO
