 1- AFTER PLANS ARE REVISED, BRING THEM TO PALM BEACH
 COUNTY BUILDING (2300 N. JOG RD.) FOR IMPACT FEES
 ASSESSMENT. BRING BACK COUNTY STAMPED PLANS AND COPY OF
 PAID RECEIPT IF FEES ARE DUE. REQUIRED BY THE COUNTY
 IMPACT FEE ORDINANCE OF THE UNIFIED LAND DEVELOPMENT
 CODE.
  
 ***RESPONSE:
 RESPONSE LETTER STATES "PBC STAMPED PLANS AND COPY OF
 RECEIPT IS ATTACHED". THERE ARE NO COUNTY STAMPED PLANS
 AND NO COPY OF PAID RECEIPT SUBMITTED.
  
 2- PROVIDE PRODUCT APPROVAL (2 COPIES) AS REQUIRED BY
 FAC RULE 9N-3 FOR:
 A) SINGLE HUNG WINDOWS ON THE NEW ADDITION. NOTE: THE
 ADDITION IS NEW CONSTRUCTION. EVERYTHING IN THE
 ADDITION NEEDS TO COMPLY WITH CURRENT CODE.
  
 ***RESPONSE:
 THERE IS A HAND WRITTEN NOTE ON NOA 11-1013.12
 SUBMITTED STATING THAT "PGT WINDOWS SH4000 (RENAMED
 SH200)". PROVIDE PROOF THAT WINDOW SERIES SH-4000 WERE
 RE-NAMED SH-200. NEED TO VERIFY THAT SERIES 4000 AND
 SERIES 200 WINDOWS ARE THE SAME.
  
 B) HURRICANE STORM SHUTTERS FOR NEW HORIZONTAL SLIDING
 WINDOWS AND NEW SINGLE HUNG WINDOWS. AND, PROVIDE
 COMPLETE INSTALLATION SCHEDULE. PLEASE VISIT THE CITY
 WEBSITE FOR SAMPLE OF HURRICANE SHUTTERS INSTALLATION
 SCHEDULE. PROTECTION OF OPENINGS IS REQUIRED BY SEC.
 R301.2.1.2 OF 2010 FBC-RESIDENTIAL.

 (1) DRAWINGS SUBMITTED DON'T HAVE A FLORIDA PRODUCT
 APPROVAL COVER PAGE OR MIAMI DADE NOA NUMBER. NEED
 APPROVED PRODUCT APPROVAL OR MANUFACTURER MAY APPLY FOR
 LOCAL PRODUCT APPROVAL. LOCAL PRODUCT APPROVALS ARE
 APPROVED BY THE BUILDING OFFICIAL, ROBERT BROWN.
 COMPLETE INFORMATION WITH ORIGINAL ENGINEER'S SEAL AND
 SIGNATURES WILL NEED TO BE SUBMITTED FOR HIS REVIEW.
  
 (2) WHY DOOR #3 IS GOING TO HAVE SHUTTERS IF THE NOA
 12-0516.02 SUBMITTED IS LARGE AND SMALL MISSILE IMPACT
 RESISTANT?
  
 (3) INSTALLATION SCHEDULE ON SHEET S-1 STATES THAT
 SHUTTERS ARE GOING TO BE INSTALLED HORIZONTALLY.
 PRODUCT APPROVAL SUBMITTAL DOESN'T ALLOW HORIZONTAL
 INSTALLATION ON WOOD FRAMED BUILDINGS. SEE GENERAL NOTE
 #7 ON FIRST PAGE OF SHUTTERS DRAWINGS FOR SECTIONS THAT
 ALLOW HORIZONTAL INSTALLATION.
  
 3- SPECIFY CARBON MONOXIDE ALARMS ON PLANS AS REQUIRED
 BY SEC. R315 OF 2010 FBC-RESIDENTIAL.
  
 ***RESPONSE:
 THERE ARE NO CARBON MONOXIDE ALARMS SHOWN ON THE
 ELECTRICAL PLAN AND NEED THE CARBON MONOXIDE ALARMS FOR
 ALL BEDROOMS (FRONT AND REAR UNIT).
  
 4- SHEET A-1: SPECIFY SAFETY GLASS FOR THE ADDITION NEW
 SINGLE HUNG WINDOWS ADJACENT TO THE NEW EXTERIOR DOOR.
 SEC. R308.4(2) OF 2010 FBC-RESIDENTIAL.
  
 5- TYP. SECTION ON SHEET S-1:
 A) SPECIFY CROSS VENTILATION AS REQUIRED BY SEC. R806
 OF 2010 FBC-RESIDENTIAL.

 ENGINEER OF RECORD RESPONSE LETTER SAID "THE CEILING IN
 THE ADDITION IS NOT FASTENED DIRECTLY TO THE RAFTERS
 AND AS SUCH THERE IS CROSS VENTILATION AND R806 CROSS
 VENTILATION IS NOT REQUIRED.". THIS IS NOT CORRECT.
 CROSS VENTILATION IS REQUIRED OR ENGINEER OF RECORD MAY
 DESIGN THE ROOF AS UNVENTED. SEE SEC. R806.4.
  
 B) COORDINATE SIZE OF BOTTOM PLATE WITH SIZE SPECIFIED
 ON THE FOUNDATION ELEVATION S1 ON SAME SHEET. SEC.
 107.2.1 CITY AMENDMENTS.

 C) CLARIFY IF THERE IS AN UNDER-FLOOR SPACE. IF SO,
 THEN PROVIDE COMPLETE INFORMATION SHOWING COMPLIANCE

 IT'S AN UNDER-FLOOR SPACE. VENTILATION WAS SPECIFIED.

 WALL WITH INFORMATION SHOWN ON FLOOR/WALL FRAMING PLAN.

 6- VALUATION DECLARED IN THE PERMIT APPLICATION IS TOO
 LOW. VALUATION TO INCLUDE ALL LABOR, MATERIALS,
 CONTRACTOR'S OVERHEAD AND PROFIT AND ALL DESIGN
 PROFESSIONAL FEES. SEC. 109.3 CITY AMENDMENTS. REVISE
 VALUATION AS REQUIRED.
  
 *** RESPONSE:
 NEW VALUATION IS STILL TOO LOW. OVERHEAD AND PROFIT
 STILL NEED TO BE CONSIDERED EVEN IF THE OWNER IS THE
 GC. PROVIDE A COMPLETE ITEMIZED ESTIMATE FOR ALL THE
 SCOPE OF WORK SHOWN ON PLANS. DESIGN PROFESSIONAL FEES
 ARE TOO LOW ALSO.
  
 7- PROVIDE COMPLETE FRAMING DETAILS AND SPECIFICATIONS
 FOR THE NEW SINGLE HUNG WINDOWS ON THE NEW ADDITION.

 A TYPICAL WINDOW OPENING WAS PROVIDED BUT IT DOESN'T
 MATCH ACTUAL CONDITIONS. REVISED PLANS SHOW A DOOR WITH
 2 WINDOWS ASSEMBLY. PROVIDE COMPLETE FRAMING DETAILS
 FOR PROPOSED ASSEMBLY.
  
 8- NEW COMMENT: SHEET A1 DOESN'T PROVIDE ANY
 INFORMATION FOR THE NEW STEPS BY THE NEW ADDITION.
 PROVIDE COMPLETE INFORMATION SHOWING COMPLIANCE WITH
 SEC. R311.7.4
