 PLEASE ADDRESS THE ITEMS NOTED BELOW:
  
 1) THE PLANS SPECIFY THAT THE EXPOSURE CATEGORY FOR
 THIS PROJECT IS B. THERE IS A CEMETARY TO THE WEST OF
 THIS LOCATION THAT IS SURFACE ROUGHNESS C. FOR THE
 DISTANCE OF 1500 FT TO THE WEST THE PREVAILING SURFACE
 ROUGHNESS C, THEREFORE THIS PROJECT IS EXPOSURE C.
 FBC-R 301.2.1.4.3
  
 2) A NOTE ON THE FOUNDATION PLAN STATES THAT THE
 CONCRETE SLAB WAS POURED UNDER PREVIOUS PERMIT
 #04070391. THAT PERMIT WAS NEVER APPROVED OR ISSUED AND
 THEREFORE NO INSPECTIONS WERE DONE ON THE FOUNDATION.
 THERE WAS A PERMIT (99121464) TO INSTALL A 4" THICK
 PATIO SLAB WITH THE DIMENSIONS OF 25' X 34' - 3", WHICH
 ARE THE DIMENSIONS OF THE PROPOSED ADDITION. THIS 4"
 PATIO SLAB WILL NOT BE ADEQUATE TO SUPPORT THE EXTERIOR
 WALLS OF THE ADDITION AND THE TERMITE PROTECTION
 REQUIREMENTS WOULD NEED TO BE ADDRESSED. FBC 107.2.1,
 FBC-R 301.1 AND 318
  
 3) THE SLEEPING ROOM WINDOWS ARE REQUIRED COMPLY WITH
 FBC-R 310 FOR EMERGENCY ESCAPE AND RESCUE OPENINGS.
 BASEMENTS, HABITABLE ATTICS AND EVERY SLEEPING ROOM
 SHALL HAVE AT LEAST ONE OPERABLE EMERGENCY ESCAPE AND
 RESCUE OPENING. WHERE BASEMENTS CONTAIN ONE OR MORE
 SLEEPING ROOMS, EMERGENCY EGRESS AND RESCUE OPENINGS
 SHALL BE REQUIRED IN EACH SLEEPING ROOM. WHERE
 EMERGENCY ESCAPE AND RESCUE OPENINGS ARE PROVIDED THEY
 SHALL HAVE A SILL HEIGHT OF NOT MORE THAN 44 INCHES
 (1118 MM) ABOVE THE FLOOR. WHERE A DOOR OPENING HAVING
 A THRESHOLD BELOW THE ADJACENT GROUND ELEVATION SERVES
 AS AN EMERGENCY ESCAPE AND RESCUE OPENING AND IS
 PROVIDED WITH A BULKHEAD ENCLOSURE, THE BULKHEAD
 ENCLOSURE SHALL COMPLY WITH SECTION R310.3. THE NET
 CLEAR OPENING DIMENSIONS REQUIRED BY THIS SECTION SHALL
 BE OBTAINED BY THE NORMAL OPERATION OF THE EMERGENCY
 ESCAPE AND RESCUE OPENING FROM THE INSIDE. EMERGENCY
 ESCAPE AND RESCUE OPENINGS WITH A FINISHED SILL HEIGHT
 BELOW THE ADJACENT GROUND ELEVATION SHALL BE PROVIDED
 WITH A WINDOW WELL IN ACCORDANCE WITH SECTION R310.2.
 EMERGENCY ESCAPE AND RESCUE OPENINGS SHALL OPEN
 DIRECTLY INTO A PUBLIC WAY, OR TO A YARD OR COURT THAT
 OPENS TO A PUBLIC WAY.
 FBC-R310.1.1 MINIMUM OPENING AREA. ALL EMERGENCY ESCAPE
 AND RESCUE OPENINGS SHALL HAVE A MINIMUM NET CLEAR
 OPENING OF 5.7 SQUARE FEET (0.530 M2).
 EXCEPTION: GRADE FLOOR OPENINGS SHALL HAVE A MINIMUM
 NET CLEAR OPENING OF 5 SQUARE FEET (0.465 M2).
  
 FBC-R310.1.2 MINIMUM OPENING HEIGHT.
 THE MINIMUM NET CLEAR OPENING HEIGHT SHALL BE 24 INCHES
 (610 MM).
  
 FBC-R310.1.3 MINIMUM OPENING WIDTH.
 THE MINIMUM NET CLEAR OPENING WIDTH SHALL BE 20 INCHES
 (508 MM).
  
  
 4) THE FOOTING REINFORCING BARS AND SLAB OF THE NEW
 ADDITION SHOULD BE DOWELED INTO THE EXISTING FOOTINGS
 AND SLAB TO PREVENT UNEVEN SETTLEMENT. FBC 107.2.1
  
 5) THE NOTE ON THE EXTERIOR WALL SECTION ON SHEET 4
 CALLS FOR 3/4" STUCCO OVER PAPER-BACKED METAL LATH ON A
 CONCRETE BLOCK EXTERIOR WALL. THIS NOTE APPEARS TO BE
 IN ERROR. CLARIFY. FBC 107.2.1
  
 6) THE EXTERIOR WALL SECTION ON SHEET 4 SPECIFIES 6"
 THICK BATT INSULATION WITH AN R30 INSULATION VALUE.
 THERE IS NO 6" BATT INSULATION WITH AN R-30 VALUE. FBC
 107.2.1
  
 7) SHOW COMPLIANCE WITH 2010 FBC ENERGY CONSERVATION
 SECT. 101.4.3 & 103.2 BY SUBMITTING THE PROPER
 CONSTRUCTION DOCUMENTS. SEE RESIDENTIAL BUILDING FORM
 405.
  
 8) SPECIFY THE R-VALUE FOR THE EXTERIOR WALL INSULATION
 THAT WILL BE USED ON THE PLANS. FBC 107.2.1
  
 9) FBC-R314.3 SMOKE ALARMS SHALL BE INSTALLED IN THE
 FOLLOWING LOCATIONS:
 1. IN EACH SLEEPING ROOM.
 2. OUTSIDE EACH SEPARATE SLEEPING AREA IN THE IMMEDIATE
 VICINITY OF THE BEDROOMS.
  
 10) THE STRUCTURAL OVERHANG DETAIL AT THE GABLE END
 RAKED BEAM DOES NOT SHOW COMPLIANCE WITH WINDLOAD
 UPLIFT REQUIREMENTS. SPECIFY THE LENGTH OF THE
 OVERHANG. FBC-R 301.1
  
 11) FBC 107.3.4 - PROVIDE TWO SETS OF PRODUCT APPROVALS
 FOR THOSE PRODUCTS WHICH ARE REGULATED BY DCA RULE 9N-3
 THAT HAVE BEEN REVIEWED AND APPROVED IN WRITING BY THE
 DESIGNER OF RECORD. PROVIDE TWO COMPLETE PRODUCT
 APPROVALS WITH FL OR NOA NUMBERS INCLUDING INSTALLATION
 INSTRUCTIONS AND MAXIMUM DESIGN PRESSURES FOR THE
 ASPHALT SHINGLE AND WINDOWS.
  
 12) FBC 109.3 BUILDING PERMIT VALUATION. FOR PERMITTING
 PURPOSES, VALUATION OF BUILDINGS AND SYSTEMS SHALL BE
 TOTAL REPLACEMENT VALUE TO INCLUDE STRUCTURAL,
 ELECTRIC, PLUMBING, MECHANICAL, INTERIOR FINISH,
 RELATIVE SITE WORK, ARCHITECTURAL AND DESIGN FEES,
 MARKETING COSTS, OVERHEAD AND PROFIT; EXCLUDING ONLY
 LAND VALUE. VALUATION REFERENCES MAY INCLUDE THE LATEST
 PUBLISHED DATA OF NATIONAL CONSTRUCTION COST ANALYSIS
 SERVICES (MARSHALL-SWIFT, MEANS, ETC.), AS PUBLISHED BY
 INTERNATIONAL CODE CONGRESS. FINAL BUILDING PERMIT
 VALUATION SHALL BE SET BY THE BUILDING OFFICIAL. THE
 VALUATION OF $50,000.00 APPEARS TO BE LOW. SUBMIT A
 COPY OF THE SIGNED CONTRACT.
