 1. IT HAS BEEN DETERMINED THAT THE SLAB AND ROOF WERE
 INSTALLED WITH PERMITS, BUT THE CONVERSION OF SCREEN
 WALLS TO GLASS WAS NOT PERMITTED. IT IS LIKELY THAT
 THERE WAS AT LEAST ONE STRUCTURAL COLUMN.
  
 CONTRACTOR IS TO PROVIDE A PLAN FOR THE ELEMENTS
 INSTALLED WITHOUT PERMIT. OWNER UNDERSTANDS THAT THE
 SUNROOM IS TO BE BROUGHT INTO COMPLIANCE AT THIS TIME.
 IN ORDER TO DO THIS, PLEASE DO THE FOLLOWING:
  
 PROVIDE A WALL FRAMING DETAIL, FOUNDATION THROUGH ROOF.
 INCLUDE WIND DESIGN CRITERIA.
  
 SHOW THE WINDOWS AS "PROPOSED" AND PLAN CAN NOTE THAT
 THE WINDOWS ARE REPLACING WINDOWS PREVIOUSLY INSTALLED
 WITHOUT PERMIT. THERE IS NO PENALTY ASSESSED WHEN A
 PROPERTY OWNER IS UNAWARE OF A PREVIOUS VIOLATION AND
 IS WORKING TO BRING THE PROPERTY INTO COMPLIANCE.
  
 BE ADVISED THAT ELECTRICAL OUTLETS MAY BE REQUIRED.
 PLEASE SHOW ALL EXISTING ELECTRICAL ON THE PLAN. ANY
 ELECTRICAL OUTLETS IN THE WALL WERE LIKELY INSTALLED
 WITHOUT PERMIT (SINCE THE WALLS WERE INSTALLED WITHOUT
 PERMIT). PROVIDE THE SAME ELECTRICAL INFORMATION AS FOR
 NEW WORK AS THIS PERMIT WILL BRING INTO COMPLIANCE
 ELECTRICAL AS WELL AS THE SUNROOM. AN ELECTRICAL PERMIT
 WILL BE REQUIRED EVEN IF NO NEW ELECTRICAL WORK IS DONE
 SO THE WORK DONE PREVIOUSLY WITHOUT PERMIT CAN BE
 INSPECTED.
  
 FOR BEDROOMS WHICH USED THE PORCH AS EMERGENCY MEANS OF
 ESCAPE AND RESCUE, SHOW A PROPOSED NEW EMERGENCY ESCAPE
 AND RESCUE OPENING FOR EACH AFFECTED BEDROOM WHICH
 COMPLIES WITH THE REQUIREMENTS FOR NEW CONSTRUCTION. IT
 IS MY UNDERSTANDING THAT A SLIDING GLASS DOOR WAS THE
 EMERGENCY ESCAPE OPENING BEFORE THE PORCH WAS ENCLOSED
 WITHOUT PERMIT, SO THE NEW OPENING IS TO BE EITHER THE
 SAME CLEAR OPENING SIZE UP TO THE REQUIREMENT FOR NEW
 CONSTRUCTION.
  
 THE OWNER UNDERSTANDS THAT TWO NEW WINDOWS WILL NEED TO
 BE INSTALLED TO BRING TO COMPLY WITH THE EMERGENCY
 MEANS OF ESCAPE REQUIREMENT. WE DISCUSSED THE
 POSSIBILITY OF PHASING THE PROJECT, UNDER ONE PERMIT,
 DUE TO FINANCIAL CONSTRAINTS (SUNROOM FIRST, BEDROOM
 WINDOWS WITHIN SIX MONTHS).
