 REPEAT COMMENT - CIVIL: PROVIDE PROJECT FIRE FLOW
 CALCULATIONS PER NFPA 1 SECTION 18.4.
  
 REPEAT COMMENT - SHEET C2: PROVIDE DRAWING NOTE
 INDICATING (PER NFPA 241 SECTION 8.7.2.3) WHERE
 UNDERGROUND WATER MAINS AND HYDRANTS ARE TO BE
 PROVIDED, THEY SHALL BE INSTALLED, COMPLETED, AND IN
 SERVICE PRIOR TO CONSTRUCTION WORK.
  
 REPEAT COMMENT - SHEET C2: PER NFPA 24 SECTION 6.2.1,
 ALL CONNECTIONS TO PRIVATE FIRE SERVICE MAINS FOR FIRE
 PROTECTION SYSTEMS SHALL BE ARRANGED IN ACCORDANCE WITH
 ONE OF THE FOLLOWING SO THAT THEY CAN BE ISOLATED:
 (1)A POST INDICATOR VALVE INSTALLED NOT LESS THAN 40
 FEET FROM THE BUILDING.
 (A) FOR BUILDINGS LESS THAN 40 FEET IN HEIGHT, A POST
 INDICATOR VALVE SHALL BE PERMITTED TO BE INSTALLED
 CLOSER THAN 40 FEET BUT AT LEAST AS FAR FROM THE
 BUILDING AS THE HEIGHT OF THE WALL FACING THE POST
 INDICATOR VALVE.
 (2) A WALL POST INDICATOR VALVE
 (3) AN INDICATING VALVE IN A PIT, INSTALLED IN
 ACCORDANCE WITH SECTION 6.4
 (4) A BACKFLOW PREVENTER WITH AT LEAST ONE INDICATING
 VALVE NOT LESS THAN 40 FEET FROM THE BUILDING.
 (A) FOR BUILDINGS LESS THAN 40 FEET IN HEIGHT, A
 BACKFLOW PREVENTER WITH AT LEAST ONE INDICATING VALVE
 SHALL BE PERMITTED TO BE INSTALLED CLOSER THAN 40 FEET
 BUT AT LEAST AS FAR FROM THE BUILDING AS THE HEIGHT OF
 THE WALL FACING THE BACKFLOW PREVENTER.
 (5) CONTROL VALVES INSTALLED IN A FIRE-RATED ROOM
 ACCESSIBLE FROM THE EXTERIOR
 (6) CONTROL VALVES IN A FIRE-RATED STAIR ENCLOSURE
 ACCESSIBLE FROM THE EXTERIOR AS PERMITTED BY THE
 AUTHORITY HAVING JURISDICTION
  
 SHEET C8: EXTENDING AN EXISTING 8-INCH DEAD-END MAIN TO
 SUPPLY A 2ND FIRE HYDRANT IS NOT SUPPORTED. PIPING
 SHOULD BE LOOPED OR GRIDDED WHEN A SECOND HYDRANT IS
 ADDED TO A MAIN.
  
 SHEET C8: THE NEW FIRE HYDRANT TO BE INSTALLED AT THE
 CORNER OF PONCE DELEON AVENUE AND PICADILLY STREET
 CREATES A SITUATION WHERE A LARGE PORTION OF THE NEW
 BUILDING IS LOCATED MORE THAN 250 FEET FROM A FIRE
 HYDRANT AND THE HYDRANT SPACING (850 FEET) EXCEEDS 500
 FEET BETWEEN HYDRANTS ALONG PONCE DELEON AVENUE
 (REFERENCE FFPC NFPA 1 - TABLE I.3).

 "INTERNATIONAL FIRE CODE 2006 EDITION."
  
 SHEET A1.02: THE SECOND MEANS OF EGRESS FROM THE POOL
 DECK AREA ROUTES OCCUPANTS BACK THROUGH THE BUILDING.
 THIS DOOR WILL NEED PANIC HARDWARE AND WILL NOT BE
 ALLOWED TO BE LOCKED FROM THE INTERIOR WHICH MAY AFFECT
 THE SECURITY OF THE BUILDING.
  
 **RESPONSE COMMENT - SHEET A2.00: SECTION 7.2.4.3.3
 REQUIRES EXITS, OTHER THAN HORIZONTAL EXITS, TO
 DISCHARGE DIRECTLY TO THE OUTSIDE. STAIR #1 DISCHARGES
 INTO A 2-HOUR CORRIDOR THAT NEEDS TO BE TREATED AS AN
 EXIT PASSAGEWAY AND SHALL CONFORM TO THE GENERAL
 REQUIREMENTS OF SECTION 7.1; WHEREBY, OPENINGS INTO THE
 EXIT ENCLOSURE SHALL BE LIMITED TO DOOR ASSEMBLIES FROM
 NORMALLY OCCUPIED SPACES. THIS WILL AFFECT THE BIKE
 STORAGE ROOM. ADDITIONALLY, PER SECTION 7.1.3.2.1(9)
 PENETRATIONS INTO, AND OPENINGS THROUGH, AN EXIT
 ENCLOSURE ASSEMBLY SHALL BE LIMITED TO: FIRE-RATED DOOR
 ASSEMBLIES, ELECTRICAL CONDUIT SERVING THE EXIT
 ENCLOSURE, DUCTWORK AND EQUIPMENT NECESSARY FOR
 INDEPENDENT STAIR PRESSURIZATION, WATER OR STEAM PIPING
 NECESSARY FOR THE HEATING OR COOLING OF THE EXIT
 ENCLOSURE, SPRINKLER PIPING, STANDPIPES, AND
 PENETRATIONS FOR FIRE ALARM CIRCUITS, WHERE THE
 CIRCUITS ARE INSTALLED IN METAL CONDUIT AND THE
 PENETRATIONS ARE PROTECTED BY A LISTED ASSEMBLY. THIS
 MAY AFFECT THE ELEVATOR AND THE BIKE STORAGE ROOM.
 ORIGINAL COMMENT - SHEET A2.00: STAIR 1 DISCHARGES INTO
 A CORRIDOR; HOWEVER, THIS SPACE INDICATES BIKE STORAGE.
 STORAGE IN THIS CORRIDOR WILL ALWAYS BE AN ISSUE THAT
 WILL NOT BE MANAGEABLE WITH JUST SIGNAGE OR
 SUPERVISION. ALSO 7.2.4.3.3 INDICATES ALL REQUIRED
 EXITS, OTHER THAN HORIZONTAL EXITS, SHALL DISCHARGE
 DIRECTLY TO THE OUTSIDE.
  
 SHEET A3.40: STORAGE ROOM WALL ADJACENT TO SAIR
 #1/CORRIDOR DOES NOT INDICATE A 2-HOUR FIRE BARRIER.
  
 THERE APPEARS TO BE 2 UPLOADED DRAWINGS THAT ARE BOTH
 DESIGNATED AS SHEET A3.41. DRAWING SEQUENCE #016 AND
 #023A ARE BOTH THE SAME DRAWING.
  
 SHEET A3.41: THE DOOR SWING (STOREFRONT DOOR #SF7) IS
 AGAINST THE FLOW OF TRAFFIC AND CONFLICTS WITH THE LIFE
 SAFETY PLAN. THIS DOOR WILL NEED PANIC HARDWARE AND
 WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO BE LOCKED FROM THE INTERIOR
 WHICHL MAY AFFECT THE SECURITY OF THE BUILDING.
  
 SHEET A3.41: POOL GATE/DOOR #106 NEEDS TO BE EQUIPPED
 WITH PANIC HARDWARE.

 DISCREPANCIES BETWEEN THE DOOR RATINGS AND THE WALL
 RATINGS SHOWN ON THE LIFE SAFETY PLAN. FOR EXAMPLE,
 MAINTENANCE AND ELECTRICAL ROOM DOORS #203 AND MAIL
 CENTER DOORS #201 AND #202 ALL INDICATE A 45-MINUTE
 FIRE RATING; HOWEVER, THE DOOR IS LOCATED IN A 3-HOUR
 FIRE WALL. REFER TO DOOR SCHEDULE ON SHEET A3.01.
  
 SHEET A3.41: PARKING GARAGE DOOR #201 OPENING INTO
 CORRIDOR #130 NEEDS TO BE MARKED/PAINTED OR PROTECTED
 BY BOLLARDS TO PREVENT THE DOOR SWING FROM HARMING
 OCCUPANTS EXITING FROM EXIT STAIR #1.
  
 SHEET E4.01: MAG LOCK DOORS: PER SECTION 7.2.1.6.2,
 ACCESS-CONTROLLED EGRESS DOORS ARE PERMITTED PROVIDED
 THAT ALL SEVEN OF THE FOLLOWING CRITERIA ARE MET:
 1. A SENSOR SHALL BE PROVIDED ON THE EGRESS SIDE,
 ARRANGED TO DETECT AN OCCUPANT APPROACHING DOORS THAT
 ARE ARRANGED TO UNLOCK IN THE DIRECTION OF EGRESS UPON
 DETECTION OF AN APPROACHING OCCUPANT OR LOSS OF POWER
 TO THE SENSOR.
 2. LOSS OF POWER TO THE PART OF THE ACCESS CONTROL
 SYSTEM THAT LOCKS THE DOORS SHALL AUTOMATICALLY UNLOCK
 THE DOORS IN THE DIRECTION OF EGRESS.
 3. THE DOORS SHALL BE ARRANGED TO UNLOCK IN THE
 DIRECTION OF EGRESS FROM A MANUAL RELEASE DEVICE
 LOCATED VERTICALLY 40 TO 48 INCHES ABOVE THE FLOOR AND
 WITHIN 60 INCHES HORIZONTALLY OF THE SECURED DOORS.
 4. THE MANUAL RELEASE DEVICE SHALL BE READILY
 ACCESSIBLE AND CLEARLY IDENTIFIED BY A SIGN THAT READS
 PUSH TO EXIT.
 5. WHEN OPERATED, THE MANUAL RELEASE DEVICE SHALL
 RESULT IN DIRECT INTERRUPTION OF POWER TO THE LOCK,
 INDEPENDENT OF THE ACCESS CONTROL SYSTEM ELECTRONICS,
 AND THE DOORS SHALL REMAIN UNLOCKED FOR NOT LESS THAN
 30 SECONDS.
 6. ACTIVATION OF THE BUILDING FIRE ALARM SYSTEM SHALL
 AUTOMATICALLY UNLOCK THE DOORS IN THE DIRECTION OF
 EGRESS, AND THE DOORS SHALL REMAIN UNLOCKED UNTIL THE
 FIRE ALARM SYSTEM HAS BEEN MANUALLY RESET.
 7. ACTIVATION OF THE BUILDING AUTOMATIC SPRINKLER
 SYSTEM OR AUTOMATIC DETECTION SYSTEM SHALL
 AUTOMATICALLY UNLOCK THE DOORS IN THE DIRECTION OF
 EGRESS, AND THE DOORS SHALL REMAIN UNLOCKED UNTIL THE
 FIRE ALARM SYSTEM HAS BEEN MANUALLY RESET.
  
 VERTICAL STANDPIPE RISERS SUPPLYING THE FIRE DEPARTMENT
 VALVES ARE REQUIRED TO BE LOCATED IN A 2-HOUR FIRE
 BARRIER/SHAFT PER NFPA 14 SECTION 6.1.2.2.
