 MARSHAL, WITH THE FOLLOWING COMMENTS:
  
 USE OF THE BUILDING AS A DAY-CARE IS NOT APPROVED AT
 THIS TIME OR AT ANY TIME UNTIL ALL CONCERNS ARE
 ADDRESSED AND PROPERLY INSPECTED AND APPROVED FOR
 OCCUPANCY. CHILDREN SHALL NOT OCCUPY THIS BUILDING. IF
 IT IS FOUND THAT THIS BUILDING IS OPERATING AS A
 DAYCARE WITHOUT PROPER PERMITTING AND APPROVAL,
 IMMEDIATE ACTION SHALL BE TAKEN TO CEASE OPERATIONS.
  
 THE FOLLOWING COMMENTS REFLECT THE MAIN CONCERNS WITH
 THIS CHANGE OF OCCUPANCY. THIS OCCUPANY SHALL COMPLY
 WITH NFPA 1, CHAPTER 20.3.4, DAY CARE OCCUPANCIES; NFPA
 101 FLORIDA EDITION, CHAPTER 16, NEW DAY-CARE
 OCCUPANCIES; F.S., CHAPTER 402.305; FL RULE 69A-36 AND
 ASSOCIATED CODES AND STANDARDS FOR DAY-CARE
 OCCUPANCUES.
  
 IF THIS OCCUPANCY IS PRIMARILY EDUCATIONAL IT SHALL
 COMPLY WITH NFPA 101, CHAPTER 14, NEW EDUCATIONAL
 OCCUPANCIES.
  
 A MONITORED FIRE ALARM WITH AUTOMATIC SMOKE DETECTION
 IS REQUIRED.
  
 THE INDICATED OCCUPANCY LOAD DOES NOT MATCH THE SQUARE
 FOOTAGE CALCULATION FOR THIS OCCUPANCY. OCCUPANCY
 COUNTS WERE NOT INCLUDED IN SOME ROOMS INCLUDING THE
 ART, COMPUTER, BREAK, LOBBY, OFFICES, CONFERENCE, FIRST
 AID, SECURITY, FAMILY ZONE, ADULT READING, AND
 RECEPTION. PLEASE PROVIDE JUSTIFICATION AND A SEATING
 AND EQUIPMENT PLAN.
  
 THE WINDOWS LABELED ESCAPE ARE NOT APPROVED UNDER THIS
 PERMIT UNTIL THEY ARE FIELD VERIFIED.
 ESCAPE/RESCUE WINDOWS
 (1) SUCH WINDOWS SHALL BE OPERABLE FROM THE INSIDE
 WITHOUT THE USE OF TOOLS AND SHALL PROVIDE A CLEAR
 OPENING OF NOT LESS THAN 20-INCHES IN WIDTH, 24-INCHES
 IN HEIGHT, AND 5.7
 SQ.FT. IN AREA.
 (2) THE BOTTOM OF THE OPENING SHALL BE NOT MORE THAN
 44-INCHES ABOVE THE FLOOR.
 (3) THE CLEAR OPENING SHALL ALLOW A RECTANGULAR SOLID,
 WITH A WIDTH AND HEIGHT THAT PROVIDES NOT LESS THAN THE
 REQUIRED 5.7 SQ.FT. OPENING AND A DEPTH OF NOT LESS
 THAN 20-INCHES
 TO PASS FULLY THROUGH THE OPENING.
  
 PROVIDE A LIFE SAFETY PLAN INCLUDING, EXIT TRAVEL,
 COMMON PATH OF TRAVEL, EXITS, EXIT SIGNS, EMERGENCY
 LIGHTS, FIRE EXTINGUISHER LOCATIONS, AND EXIT DOOR
 HARDWARE. EACH EXIT SHALL LEAD TO PUBLIC WAY. EXITS
 THAT LEAD INTO THE PLAY AREA MUST HAVE AN EXIT LEADING
 TO A PUBLIC WAY.
  
 ARTWORK AND TEACHING MATERIALS ATTACHED TO THE WALLS
 SHALL NOT EXCEED 50 PERCENT OF THE INDIVIDUAL WALL
 AREA.
  
 SPECIAL PROTECTIVE COVERS FOR ALL ELECTRICAL
 RECEPTACLES SHALL BE INSTALLED IN ALL AREAS OCCUPIED BY
 CLIENTS.
  
 A DOOR SCHEDULE SHALL BE PROVIDED. PANIC HARDWARE IS
 REQUIRED ON ALL EXITS.
  
 EVERY INTERIOR CORRIDOR SHALL BE CONSTRUCTED OF WALLS
 HAVING NOT LESS THAN 1-HOUR FIRE RESISTANCE RATING
 INCLUDING DOORS AND WINDOWS. WHERE THE CORRIDOR CEILING
 IS AN ASSEMBLY HAVING A 1-HOUR FIRE RESISTANCE RATING
 WHERE TESTED AS A WALL, THE CORRIDOR WALLS SHALL BE
 PERMITTED TO TERMINATE AT THE CORRIDOR CEILING,
 OTHERWISE THE WALLS SHALL EXTEND TO UNDERSIDE OF THE
 ROOF.
  
 EVERY CLOSET DOOR LATCH SHALL BE SUCH THAT CLIENTS CAN
 OPEN THE DOOR FROM INSIDE THE CLOSET.
  
 EVERY BATHROOM DOOR LOCK SHALL BE DESIGNED TO ALLOW
 OPENING OF THE LOCKED DOOR FROM THE OUTSIDE BY AN
 OPENING DEVICE THAT SHALL BE READILY ACCESSIBLE TO THE
 STAFF.
  
 NO COOKING SHALL BE PREPARED IN THE BREAKROOM. A STOVE
 OR RANGE SHALL NOT BE PERMITTED. ANY COOKING EQUIPMENT
 SHALL BE PERMITTED AND INSTALLED UNDER SEPARATE PERMIT
 IN COMPLIANCE WITH NFPA 96, STANDARD FOR VENTILATION
 AND FIRE PROTECTION OF COMMERCIAL COOKING OPERATIONS.
  
 FURTHER COMMENT IS RESERVED AS THE PLANS ARE UPDATED
