 THE OCCUPANT LOAD OF LESS THAN 10 WILL STILL MEET THE
 REQUIRED OPENNESS REQUIREMENT, (2010 FBC-B 505.4 EXC #
 1). 1. MEZZANINES OR PORTIONS THEREOF ARE NOT REQUIRED
 TO BE OPEN TO THE ROOM IN WHICH THE MEZZANINES ARE
 LOCATED, PROVIDED THAT THE OCCUPANT LOAD OF THE
 AGGREGATE AREA OF THE ENCLOSED SPACE DOES NOT EXCEED

 1) THE USAGE WILL NEED TO BE DEMONSTRATED, IBELIEVE ON
 THE PERMIT APPLICATION UNDER THE CONTRACTOR COMPANY
 NAME LISTED IS EG2-EDUCATIONAL GALLERY GROUP. IS THAT
 THE PROPOSED NAME OF THE BUSINESSFOR THE NEW OCCUPANCY?
 IF SO WHAT IS THE TARGET AGE GROUP YOU WILL BE WORKING
 WITH, KIDS K-12 GRADE OR ADULTS, THIS EFFECTS THE
 OCCUPANCY CLASSIFICATION AND THE REVIEWS TO BE

 NOTE IF THIS IS TO BE AN ART GALLERY THEN THE OCCUPANCY
 WOULD BE A A-3 AND WOULD BE COMPLETELY DIFFERENT AS
 WELL AS IF CHILDREN ARE THE TARGET AGE YOU WOULD BE
 WORKING WITH, THEN IT WOULD BE EDUCATIONAL.
  
 2) THERE IS NO INFORMAION ON THE EXISTING STAIR OR
 GAURDRAIL SYSTEMS. PLEASE PROVIDE ADDITIONAL DETAILS
 FOR CODE COMPLIANCE WITH THE 2010 FBC-B 1009.4.2 STAIR
 RISERS AND TREAD WIDTH.

 1009.6 STAIRWAY CONSTRUCTION.
 ALL STAIRWAYS SHALL BE BUILT OF MATERIALS CONSISTENT
 WITH THE TYPES PERMITTED FOR THE TYPE OF CONSTRUCTION
 OF THE BUILDING, EXCEPT THAT WOOD HANDRAILS SHALL BE
 PERMITTED FOR ALL TYPES OF CONSTRUCTION.

 THE WALLS AND SOFFITS WITHIN ENCLOSED USABLE SPACES
 UNDER ENCLOSED AND UNENCLOSED STAIRWAYS SHALL BE
 PROTECTED BY 1-HOUR FIRE-RESISTANCE-RATED CONSTRUCTION
 OR THE FIRE-RESISTANCE RATING OF THE STAIRWAY
 ENCLOSURE, WHICHEVER IS GREATER. ACCESS TO THE ENCLOSED
 SPACE SHALL NOT BE DIRECTLY FROM WITHIN THE STAIR
 ENCLOSURE.
 HANDRAILS:
 1012.2 HEIGHT.
 HANDRAIL HEIGHT, MEASURED ABOVE STAIR TREAD NOSINGS, OR
 FINISH SURFACE OF RAMP SLOPE, SHALL BE UNIFORM, NOT
 LESS THAN 34 INCHES (864 MM) AND NOT MORE THAN 38
 INCHES (965 MM). HANDRAIL HEIGHT OF ALTERNATING TREAD
 DEVICES AND SHIP LADDERS, MEASURED ABOVE TREAD NOSINGS,
 SHALL BE UNIFORM, NOT LESS THAN 30 INCHES (762 MM) AND
 NOT MORE THAN 34 INCHES (864 MM).
 EXCEPTION: HANDRAILS FOR STAIRS NOT REQUIRED TO BE
 ACCESSIBLE THAT FORM PART OF A GUARDRAIL MAY BE 42
 INCHES (1067 MM) HIGH.
 GAURDRAILS: 1013.3 OPENING LIMITATIONS.
 REQUIRED GUARDS SHALL NOT HAVE OPENINGS WHICH ALLOW
 PASSAGE OF A SPHERE 4 INCHES (102 MM) IN DIAMETER FROM
 THE WALKING SURFACE TO THE REQUIRED GUARD HEIGHT.
  
 3) THE PLANS FAIL TO PROVIDE EMERGENCY LIGHTING AS WELL
 AS DIRECTIONAL & EXIT LIGHTING.
 1006.1.6.2 BATTERY-OPERATED ELECTRIC LIGHTS AND OTHER
 TYPES OF PORTABLE LAMPS OR LANTERNS SHALL NOT BE USED
 FOR PRIMARY ILLUMINATION OF MEANS OF EGRESS.
 BATTERY-OPERATED ELECTRIC LIGHTS SHALL BE PERMITTED TO
 BE USED AS AN EMERGENCY SOURCE TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED
 UNDER SECTION 1006.2.3.4.
  
 1006.3.8 WHERE THE DIRECTION OF TRAVEL TO REACH THE
 NEAREST EXIT IS NOT APPARENT, A DIRECTIONAL SIGN
 COMPLYING WITH SECTIONS 1006.3.5 OR 1006.3.6 READING
 ?EXIT,? OR A SIMILAR DESIGNATION WITH A DIRECTIONAL
 INDICATOR SHOWING THE DIRECTION OF TRAVEL SHALL BE
 PLACED IN EVERY LOCATION. DIRECTIONAL SIGNS SHALL BE
 LISTED.
  
 1006.3.1 EXITS SHALL BE MARKED BY AN APPROVED SIGN
 READILY VISIBLE FROM ANY DIRECTION OF EXIT ACCESS.
 EVERY EXIT SIGN SHALL BE SUITABLY ILLUMINATED BY A
 RELIABLE LIGHT SOURCE. EXTERNALLY AND INTERNALLY
 ILLUMINATED SIGNS SHALL BE VISIBLE IN BOTH NORMAL AND
 EMERGENCY LIGHTING.
  
 4) BEFORE A PERMIT TO CONSTRUCT, MAY BE ISSUED, IMPACT
 FEES MUST BE PAID TO PALM BEACH COUNTY. THE ACTUAL
 PERMIT SET OF PLANS MUST BE STAMPED BY THAT OFFICE, AND
 A COPY OF THE PAID RECEIPT ATTACHED TO THE PERMIT
