 OF THE FLORIDA BUILDING CODE, BUILDING.

 1) THE 2010 FL EXST BLDG CODE SECTION 611.3
 611.3 RECOVERING VERSUS REPLACEMENT.
 NEW ROOF COVERINGS SHALL NOT BE INSTALLED WITHOUT FIRST
 REMOVING ALL EXISTING LAYERS OF ROOF COVERINGS WHERE
 ANY OF THE FOLLOWING CONDITIONS OCCUR:
  
 1. WHERE THE EXISTING ROOF OR ROOF COVERING IS WATER
 SOAKED OR HAS DETERIORATED TO THE POINT THAT THE
 EXISTING ROOF OR ROOF COVERING IS NOT ADEQUATE AS A
 BASE FOR ADDITIONAL ROOFING. THE MOISTURE TEST
 PERFORMED INDICATES THE MOISTURE LEVEL IS ABOVE THE
 REQUIRED 5% BY SECTION 1521.12 PROTOCAL TAS-126.
  
 2. DOES NOT APPLY. WHERE THE EXISTING ROOF COVERING IS
 WOOD SHAKE, SLATE, CLAY, CEMENT OR ASBESTOS-CEMENT
 TILE.
  
 3.WILL NEED TO VERIFY HOW MANY ROOFING ROOFING
 APPLICATIONS ARE ON THE ROOF ALREADY, THE CORING TEST
 DOES NOT INDICATE. WHERE THE EXISTING ROOF HAS TWO OR
 MORE APPLICATIONS OF ANY TYPE OF ROOF COVERING.
  
 WILL NEED TO VERIFY THERE IS NO BLISTERING. 4. WHEN
 BLISTERS EXIST IN ANY ROOFING, UNLESS BLISTERS ARE CUT
 OR SCRAPED OPEN AND REMAINING MATERIALS SECURED DOWN
 BEFORE APPLYING ADDITIONAL ROOFING.
  
 NO PULL TEST HAS BEEN PREFORMED IN THE WATER DAMAGED
 AREAS. 5.WHERE THE EXISTING ROOF IS TO BE USED FOR
 ATTACHMENT FOR A NEW ROOF SYSTEM AND COMPLIANCE WITH
 THE SECUREMENT PROVISIONS OF SECTION 1504.1 CAN NOT BE
 MET.

 THE OTHER ISSUE IS THIS NOA IS FOR A STRUCTURAL
 CONCRETE DECK OR MINIMUM 22 GAUGE STEEL DECK. THE
 MOISTURE TEST PREFORMED INDICATES THIS IS A LIGHT
 WEIGHT CONCRETE DECK, NON-STRUCTURAL, NOR HAS THE DECK
 TYPE BEEN CONFIRMED 22 GAUGE STEEL. THE PULL TEST WILL
 CONFIRM THE 5TH REQUIREMENT OF IF THE EXISTING
 LIGHTWEIGHT DECK WILL BE SOUND OR IF THE ATTACHMENT
 WILL NEED TO PENETRATE THE METAL DECK,DIA. & LENGHT OF
 FASTENER, DIAMETER OF WASHER, AND THE DENSITY OF
 FASTENERS REQUIRED TO MEET THE REQUIRED WIND DESIGN &
 WIND PRESSURES.
