 PLEASE ADDRESS THE ITEMS NOTED BELOW:
  
 BUILDING
  
 1) FBC 107.3.4 - PROVIDE PRODUCT APPROVALS FOR THOSE
 PRODUCTS WHICH ARE REGULATED BY
 DCA RULE 9N-3 REVIEWED AND APPROVED IN WRITING BY THE
 DESIGNER OF RECORD. SPECIFICALLY, PROVIDE ROOFING,
 WINDOW, EXTERIOR DOOR SUBMITTALS, AS WELL AS THE
 SIMPSON CONNECTORS.
  
 2) SHOW COMPLIANCE WITH 2010 FBC ENERGY CONSERVATION
 SECT. 101.4.3 & 103.2 BY SUBMITTING THE PROPER
 CONSTRUCTION DOCUMENTS. SEE RESIDENTIAL BUILDING FORMS
 402 OR 405.
  
 3) THE EXTERIOR WALL SECTION ON SHEET 7, SPECIFIES 6"
 BATT INSULATION WITH AN R-30 VALUE. THE MINIMUM
 THICKNESS FOR R-30 IS 9.5 INCHES. PLEASE CORRECT.
  
 4) FBC-R 301.1 BUILDINGS AND STRUCTURES, AND ALL PARTS
 THEREOF, SHALL BE CONSTRUCTED TO SAFELY SUPPORT ALL
 LOADS, INCLUDING DEAD LOADS, LIVE LOADS, ROOF LOADS,
 FLOOD LOADS, AND WIND LOADS AS PRESCRIBED BY THIS CODE.
 THE CONSTRUCTION OF BUILDINGS AND STRUCTURES IN
 ACCORDANCE WITH THE PROVISIONS OF THIS CODE SHALL
 RESULT IN A SYSTEM THAT PROVIDES A COMPLETE LOAD PATH
 THAT MEETS ALL REQUIREMENTS FOR THE TRANSFER OF ALL
 LOADS FROM THEIR POINT OF ORIGIN THROUGH THE
 LOAD-RESISTING ELEMENTS TO THE FOUNDATION. SHOW ALL
 CONNECTORS THAT WILL BE USED TO ACCOMPLISH THIS AT THE
 EXTERIOR WALLS AND AN OTHER BEARING WALLS.
  
 5) THE H7Z HURRICANE STRAP THAT IS SHOWN FOR THE TRUSS
 TO WALL CONNECTION REQUIRES THE TRUSSES AND WALL STUDS
 TO BE ALIGNED. THEY ARE REQUIRED TO BE NAILED TO THE
 STUDS. IF THE ROOF TRUSSES ARE 24" O.C. AND THE 2X4
 WALL STUDS ARE 16" O.C. THIS WILL NOT BE POSSIBLE.

 6) SPECIFY THE EXTERIOR WOOD WALL STUD SPACING ON THE
 PLANS. FBC-R 602.3
  
 7) PROVIDE AN EXTERIOR BEARING WALL DETAIL SHOWING THE
 REQUIRED OPENING HEADERS AND ALL FRAMING CONNECTORS.

 8) FBC-R314.3.1 ALTERATIONS, REPAIRS AND ADDITIONS.
 WHEN ALTERATIONS, REPAIRS OR ADDITIONS REQUIRING A
 PERMIT OCCUR, OR WHEN ONE OR MORE SLEEPING ROOMS ARE
 ADDED OR CREATED IN EXISTING DWELLINGS, THE INDIVIDUAL
 DWELLING UNIT SHALL BE EQUIPPED WITH SMOKE ALARMS
 LOCATED AS REQUIRED FOR NEW DWELLINGS.
  
 9) FBC-R302.3 TWO-FAMILY DWELLINGS.
 DWELLING UNITS IN TWO-FAMILY DWELLINGS SHALL BE
 SEPARATED FROM EACH OTHER BY WALL AND/OR FLOOR
 ASSEMBLIES HAVING NOT LESS THAN A 1-HOUR
 FIRE-RESISTANCE RATING WHEN TESTED IN ACCORDANCE WITH
 ASTM E 119 OR UL 263. FIRE-RESISTANCE-RATED
 FLOOR-CEILING AND WALL ASSEMBLIES SHALL EXTEND TO AND
 BE TIGHT AGAINST THE EXTERIOR WALL, AND WALL ASSEMBLIES
 SHALL EXTEND FROM THE FOUNDATION TO THE UNDERSIDE OF
 THE ROOF SHEATHING.
  
 10) FBC-R807.1 ATTIC ACCESS.
 BUILDINGS WITH COMBUSTIBLE CEILING OR ROOF CONSTRUCTION
 SHALL HAVE AN ATTIC ACCESS OPENING TO ATTIC AREAS THAT
 EXCEED 30 SQUARE FEET (2.8 M2) AND HAVE A VERTICAL
 HEIGHT OF 30 INCHES (762 MM) OR GREATER. THE VERTICAL
 HEIGHT SHALL BE MEASURED FROM THE TOP OF THE CEILING
 FRAMING MEMBERS TO THE UNDERSIDE OF THE ROOF FRAMING
 MEMBERS.
 THE ROUGH-FRAMED OPENING SHALL NOT BE LESS THAN 22
 INCHES BY 30 INCHES (559 MM BY 762 MM) AND SHALL BE
 LOCATED IN A HALLWAY OR OTHER READILY ACCESSIBLE
 LOCATION. WHEN LOCATED IN A WALL, THE OPENING SHALL BE
 A MINIMUM OF 22 INCHES WIDE BY 30 INCHES HIGH. WHEN THE
 ACCESS IS LOCATED IN A CEILING, MINIMUM UNOBSTRUCTED
 HEADROOM IN THE ATTIC SPACE SHALL BE 30 INCHES (762 MM)
 AT SOME POINT ABOVE THE ACCESS MEASURED VERTICALLY FROM
 THE BOTTOM OF CEILING FRAMING MEMBERS. SEE SECTION
 M1305.1.3 FOR ACCESS REQUIREMENTS WHERE MECHANICAL
 EQUIPMENT IS LOCATED IN ATTICS.
  
 11) FBC-R803.2.3.1 SHEATHING FASTENINGS.
 WOOD STRUCTURAL PANEL SHEATHING SHALL BE FASTENED TO
 ROOF FRAMING WITH 8D RING-SHANK NAILS AT 6 INCHES ON
 CENTER AT EDGES AND 6 INCHES ON CENTER AT INTERMEDIATE
 FRAMING. RING-SHANK NAILS SHALL HAVE THE FOLLOWING
 MINIMUM DIMENSIONS:
 1. 0.113 INCH NOMINAL SHANK DIAMETER.
 2. RING DIAMETER OF 0.012 OVER SHANK DIAMETER.
 3. 16 TO 20 RINGS PER INCH.
 4. 0.280 INCH FULL ROUND HEAD DIAMETER.
 5. 2 INCH NAIL LENGTH.
 WHERE ROOF FRAMING WITH A SPECIFIC GRAVITY, 0.42 ? G <
 0.49 IS USED, SPACING OF RING-SHANK FASTENERS SHALL BE
 4 INCHES ON CENTER IN NAILING ZONE 3 IN ACCORDANCE WITH
 FIGURE R803.2.3.1 WHERE VASD AS DETERMINED IN
 ACCORDANCE WITH SECTION R301.2.1.3 IS 130 MPH OR
 GREATER.
 THE DETAIL ON SHEET 7 SPECIFIES THAT THE ROOF SHEATHING
 WILL BE FASTENED ACCORDING TO FBC SECTION R801. FBC
 107.2.1 REQUIRES SUCH INFORMATION TO BE SPECIFIC AND
 THE TECHNICAL CODES NOT BE CITED.
  
 12) THE ROOF FRAMING PLAN IS NOT CORRECTLY DRAWN FOR A
 HIP ROOF. FOR THE NEW ROOF CONSTRUCTION, SPECIFY THE
 SPACING OF THE ENGINEERED ROOF TRUSSES. IN ADDITION TO
 THE LOCATION OF THE COMMON TRUSSES, SPECIFY THE
 LOCATION OF THE HIP GIRDER TRUSS, THE HIP TRUSSES AND
 THE HIP JACK TRUSSES. SPECIFY THE TRUSS ANCHORS AND/OR
 UPLIFT, LATERAL AND SHEAR FORCES THAT WILL BE REQUIRED.
 FBC 107.3.5.3 (5) AND FBC-R802.1.6.5 TRUSS TO WALL
 CONNECTION.
 TRUSSES SHALL BE CONNECTED TO WALL PLATES BY THE USE OF
 APPROVED CONNECTORS HAVING A RESISTANCE TO DESIGN
 UPLIFT, LATERAL AND SHEAR FORCES. TRUSSES SHALL BE
 INSTALLED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE MANUFACTURER?S DESIGN
 AND SPECIFICATIONS.
  
 13) SECTION R704
 INSPECTION FOR TERMITES
 IN ORDER TO PROVIDE FOR INSPECTION FOR TERMITE
 INFESTATION, CLEARANCE BETWEEN EXTERIOR WALL COVERINGS
 AND FINAL EARTH GRADE ON THE EXTERIOR OF A BUILDING
 SHALL NOT BE LESS THAN 6 INCHES (152 MM).
 EXCEPTIONS:
 1. PAINT OR DECORATIVE CEMENTITIOUS FINISH LESS THAN
 5/8 INCH (17.1 MM) THICK ADHERED DIRECTLY TO THE
 MASONRY FOUNDATION SIDEWALL.
 2. ACCESS OR VEHICLE RAMPS WHICH RISE TO THE INTERIOR
 FINISH FLOOR ELEVATION FOR THE WIDTH OF SUCH RAMPS
 ONLY.
 3. A 4-INCH (102 MM) INSPECTION SPACE ABOVE PATIO AND
 GARAGE SLABS AND ENTRY AREAS.
 4. IF THE PATIO HAS BEEN SOIL TREATED FOR TERMITES, THE
 FINISH ELEVATION MAY MATCH THE BUILDING INTERIOR FINISH
 FLOOR ELEVATIONS ON MASONRY CONSTRUCTION ONLY.
 5. MASONRY VENEERS CONSTRUCTED IN ACCORDANCE WITH
 SECTION R318.4.
  
 14) FBC-R703.6.1 EXTERIOR USE OF PORTLAND CEMENT
 PLASTER SHALL COMPLY WITH THE APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS
 OF ASTM C 926. THE MINIMUM THICKNESS OF STUCCO APPLIED
 TO METAL PLASTER BASE OVER PLYWOOD IS 7/8 INCH.
  
 15) FBC-R703.6.3 WHERE CEMENT PLASTER (STUCCO) IS TO BE
 APPLIED TO LATH OVER FRAME CONSTRUCTION, MEASURES SHALL
 BE TAKEN TO PREVENT BONDING BETWEEN THE CEMENT PLASTER
 AND THE WATER-RESISTIVE BARRIER. A BOND BREAK SHALL BE
 PROVIDED BETWEEN THE WATER-RESISTIVE BARRIER AND THE
 CEMENT PLASTER (STUCCO) CONSISTING OF ONE OF THE
 FOLLOWING:
 1. TWO LAYERS OF AN APPROVED WATER-RESISTANT BARRIER
 MATERIAL; OR
 2. ONE LAYER OF AN APPROVED WATER-RESISTANT BARRIER
 OVER AN APPROVED PLASTIC HOUSE WRAP; OR
 3. OTHER APPROVED METHODS OR MATERIALS APPLIED IN
 ACCORDANCE WITH THE MANUFACTURER?S INSTALLATION
 INSTRUCTIONS.
  
 16) IN ORDER TO REDUCE PLAN REVIEW TIME, PLEASE SUBMIT
 A RESPONSE LETTER INDICATING HOW EACH ONE OF THE REVIEW
