 1) THE LIFE SAFETY SHEET LS 1.1 DESIGN STANDAARDS &
 CODE REQUIREMENT HEADING LIST THE BUILDING AS FULLY
 SPRINKLERED WITH A NFPA 13 SYSTEM. PLEASE NOTE THAT THE
 SPRINKLERS DOES NOT STATE WHAT TYPE OF HEADS ARE
 CURRENTLY IN USE. PLEASE REFER TO THE 2010 FBC-B
 SECTION 709.1 EXCEPTION #3 THAT WILL GREATLY EFFECT
 YOUR DESIGN AND CODE COMPLIANCE. EXCEPTION 3. IN
 MINI-WAREHOUSES/SELF-STORAGE BUILDINGS, WALLS USED TO
 SEPARATE TENANTS SHALL NOT BE REQUIRED TO HAVE
 FIRE-RESISTANCE RATING, PROVIDED A SPRINKLER SYSTEM
 MEETING THE REQUIREMENTS OF ORDINARY HAZARD GROUP II AS
 DEFINED BY NFPA 13, IS INSTALLED EMPLOYING QUICK
 RESPONSE HEADS.
  
 2) LIFE SAFETY SHEET 1.1 & 1.2 IT APPEARS THAT
 STAIRWELL 1 ON THE 1ST FLOOR & 2ND FLOOR HAS BEEN
 CLOSED UP AND NOW A VOID SPACE? THAT WILL LEAVE (3)
 UNENCLOSED EXITS. THIS MAY STILL BE A STORAGE OCCUPANCY
 2010 FLORIDA EXISITNG BUILDING CODE 705.3 NUMBER OF
 EXITS. THE NUMBER OF EXITS SHALL BE IN ACCORDANCE WITH
 THE APPROPRIATE SECTIONS OF THE FLORIDA FIRE PREVENTION
 CODE.
 NFPA 1 -14.6.1.3 IN EXISTING BUILDINGS, WHERE A 2 STORY
 EXIT ENCLOSURE CONNECTS THE STORY OF EXIT DISCHARGE
 WITH AN ADJACENT STORY, THE EXIT SHALL BE PERMITTED TO
 BE ENCLOSED ONLY ON THE STORY OF EXIT DISCHARGE,
 PROVIDED THAT NOT LESS THAN 50 % OF THE NUMBER AND
 CAPACITY OF EXITS ON THE STORY OF EXIT DISCHARGE ARE
 INDEPENDENT OF SUCH ENCLOSURES. THE SAME LANGUAGE IS
 FOUND UNDER NFPA 101. 7.2.2.5.1.3.
 NEITHER STAIR # 107 OR 111 HAVE A ENCLOSURE AT THE
 BOTTOM OF THE STAIRWELL THAT LEAD TO THE EXTERIOR OF
 THE BUILDING.
  
 3) LS1.1 PLEASE PROVIDE A COST BREAK DOWN WHERE 20% OR
 $70.00 DOLLARS IN ACCESSIBLE UPGRADES TO THE BUILDING.
 2010 FL ACCESSIBILITY CODE 202.4.2 ACCESSIBLE FEATURES
 IN THE EVENT OF DISPROPORTIONALITY.
 WHEN THE COST OF ALTERATIONS NECESSARY TO MAKE THE PATH
 OF TRAVEL TO THE ALTERED AREA FULLY ACCESSIBLE IS
 DISPROPORTIONATE TO THE COST OF THE OVERALL ALTERATION,
 THE PATH OF TRAVEL SHALL BE MADE ACCESSIBLE TO THE
 EXTENT THAT IT CAN BE MADE ACCESSIBLE WITHOUT INCURRING
 DISPROPORTIONATE COSTS. IN CHOOSING WHICH ACCESSIBLE
 ELEMENTS TO PROVIDE, PRIORITY SHOULD BE GIVEN TO THOSE

 4A) THE PLANS INDICATE A NEW ELEVATOR, THIS ELEVATOR
 WILL NEED TO COMPLY WITH THE 2010 FBC-ACCESSIBILITY
 CODE 3001.3 ACCESSIBILITY.
 PASSENGER ELEVATORS ARE REQUIRED TO BE ACCESSIBLE BY
 THE FLORIDA BUILDING CODE, ACCESSIBILITY.
  
 4B) NEW WORK. 2010 FBC-B 3001.5.1 EACH NEW ELEVATOR
 SHALL COMPLY WITH THE FLORIDA ELEVATOR SAFETY CODE THAT
 WAS IN EFFECT AT THE TIME OF RECEIPT OF APPLICATION FOR
 THE CONSTRUCTION PERMIT FOR THE ELEVATOR.
  
 5) THE LIFE SAFETY SHEETS NOR ARCHITECTURAL SHEETS SHOW
 THE ELEVATOR SHAFT AS 1 HOUR FIRE RATEDOR FOR THE
 MACHANICAL ROOM. 2010 FBC-B
 3002.1 HOISTWAY ENCLOSURE PROTECTION.
 ELEVATOR, DUMBWAITER AND OTHER HOISTWAY ENCLOSURES
 SHALL BE SHAFT ENCLOSURES COMPLYING WITH SECTION 708.
 3002.1.1 OPENING PROTECTIVES.
 OPENINGS IN HOISTWAY ENCLOSURES SHALL BE PROTECTED AS
 REQUIRED IN CHAPTER 7.
  
 6) LIFE SAFETY & A1.1 SHOW A WALL TYPE # 5 WITH FOAM
 SHEET INSULATION. SHEET A3.2 DETAIL # 5 INDICATES THE
 FOAM INSULATION WALL PANELS TO BE 5 " IN THICKNESS
 INFILL BETWEEN THE DOUBLE T 2ND FLOOR PRECAST BEAM AND
 FLOORING SYSTEM. PLEASE PROVIDE THE MANUFACTURERS
 SPECIFICATION FOR THE FOAM INSULATION AND COMPLIANCE
 WITH FBC-B 2603.3 AND OR EXCEPTIONS. ALSO SEE 2010
 FBC-MECHANICAL FOR USE IN PLENUMS FBC-M 602.2 &

 10) SINCE THIS BUILDING IS CHANGING THE USAGE TYPE FROM
 STORAGE TO MINI STORAGE UNITS TTHE PLANS WILL NEED TO
 GO TO P B C IMPACT FEE OFFICE FOR ASSESSMENT OF IMPACT
