 DENIED BY BUILDING
  
 1) THE PROPOSED WORK IS TO ENCLOSE THE COURTYARD AREA
 ON THE ZERO LOT LINE SIDE OF THE DWELLING. THE COURT
 YARD FOR THIS MODEL SERVES AS PART OF THE REQUIRED
 EMERGENCY ESCAPE AND RESCUE OPENING FOR A SLEEPING
 ROOM. THE BUILDING CODE DOES NOT ALLOW OPENINGS ON THE
 ZERO LOT LINE. HAVING THE COURTYARD PROVIDED A WALL
 THAT WAS NOT ON THE ZERO LOT LINE AND ALLOWED THE
 REQUIRED EGRESS OPENING FOR THE SLEEPING ROOMS. THE
 HATCH OPENING IN THE COURTYARD WALL PROVIDES AN ESCAPE
 ROUTE FROM THE SLEEPING ROOM AND ACCESS TO THE SLEEPING
 ROOM FOR RESCUE PERSONNEL. THERE IS ALSO AN EMERGENCY
 EGRESS EASEMENT ACROSS THE ADJACENT PROPERTY IN THE
 SUBDIVISION COVENANTS. IN ORDER TO BE APPROVED BY THE
 BUILDING OFFICIAL, THE CLOSET WILL NEED TO BE REMOVED
 FROM THE "OFFICE" AND THE LABEL "NOT TO BE USED AS A
 SLEEPING ROOM" ADDED TO THE PLAN BELOW THE ROOM NAME.

 ALLOWED. FBCR 302.1 SUBMIT TWO COPIES OF THE PRODUCT
 APPROVALS FOR THE ONE HOUR FIRE RATED GLASS BLOCK AS
 REQUIRED BY DCA RULE 9N-3.

 AND FBC R803.2.3.1 CHECK ALL OF THE ROOF SHEATHING
 FASTENING NOTES AND CORRECT THEM OR REMOVE SOME OF THEM
 SO THAT THEY ARE CONSISTENT.

 13) ON SHEET S-2, HETA-16 EMBED TYPE TRUSS ANCHORS ARE
 SPECIFIED AT THE EXISTING WALL FOR THE 2 X 8 ROOF
 JOISTS. A DOUBLE 2 X 8 LEDGER IS ALSO SPECIFIED AT THIS
 LOCATION. THIS DOES NOT APPEAR TO BE THE CORRECT ANCHOR
 FOR THIS LOCATION. PLEASE CLARIFY. PROVIDE A STRUCTURAL
 SECTION DETAIL OF THIS LOCATION. THE HETA-16 EMBED TYPE
 TRUSS ANCHORS CAN NOT BE USED WITH CONCRETE SCREWS.
 SPECIFY ANOTHER TYPE OF CONNECTOR SUCH AS AN MTSM 16
 WHICH USES TITEN CONCRETE SCREWS FOR FASTENING TO
 CONCRETE OR CMU.
  
 14) SUBMIT TWO COPIES OF THE EVALUATION REPORT FOR THE
 SPRAY FOAM INSULATION. FBC R316.3 AND R316.4 THE
 CEILING INSULATION WAS CHANGED TO R-30 BATTS. THE R30
 BATTS ARE 9.5 INCHES THICK AND WILL NOT FIT INTO A 2 X
 8 SINGLE ASSEMBLY ROOF/CEILING. INSULATION LOSES
 R-VALUE WHEN IT IS COMPRESSED AND IN ADDITION TO THE
 INSULATION, A MINIMUM ONE INCH AIR SPACE IS REQUIRED TO
 PROVIDE FOR ROOF VENTILATION FBCR 806.3. A CONTINOUS
 EAVE VENT WILL BE REQUIRED TO VENT THE SINGLE ASSEMBLY
 ROOF/CEILING. FBCR 806.1
  
 15) SUBMIT TWO COPIES OF PRODUCT APPROVALS FOR THE
 PRODUCTS REGULATED BY DCA RULE 9N-3, SUCH AS, ROOF
 COVERING, TRUSS ANCHORS, GLASS BLOCK. THE PRODUCT
 APPROVALS ARE REQUIRED TO BE REVIEWED AND APPROVED IN
 WRITING BY THE DESIGNER OF RECORD. CITY AMENDMENTS
