 REVISION DENIED BY BUILDING
  
 1) AN INCREASE IN VALUE OF $7500.00 WAS SPECIFIED FOR
 THE REVISION. THE TOTAL SCOPE OF WORK FOR THIS REVISION
 IS NOT CLEAR. THE SCOPE OF WORK ON THE PLANS LISTS
 ELECTRICAL, PLUMBING AND MECHANICAL ( HVAC ). HOWEVER,
 SEPARATE PERMITS HAVE BEEN ISSUED FOR THE ELECTRIC AND
 PLUMBING WORK FOR THIS PROJECT. THERE WERE NOT ANY
 MECHANICAL PLANS OR APPLICATION SUBMITTED. THE VALUE
 STILL APPEARS LOW FOR THE EXTENT OF STRUCTURAL REPAIRS
 SPECIFIED, THE NEW EXTERIOR DOORS AND LARGE MISSILE
 IMPACT WINDOWS, STUCCO AND DRYWALL REPAIRS AND FINISHES
 THAT ARE TO BE DONE. SEE THE
 CITY AMENDMENTS TO THE 2010 FBC SECTION 109.3 BUILDING
 PERMIT VALUATIONS. IF, IN THE OPINION OF THE BUILDING
 OFFICIAL, THE CLAIMED VALUATION OF
 BUILDING, ALTERATION, STRUCTURE, ELECTRICAL, GAS,
 MECHANICAL OR PLUMBING SYSTEMS APPEARS TO BE
 UNDERESTIMATED ON THE APPLICATION, THE PERMIT SHALL BE
 DENIED, UNLESS THE APPLICANT CAN SHOW
 DETAILED, QUANTITY ESTIMATES, AND/OR BONA FIDE SIGNED
 CONTRACTS (EXCLUDING LAND VALUE) TO MEET THE
 APPROVAL OF THE BUILDING OFFICIAL. FOR PERMITTING
 PURPOSES, VALUATION OF BUILDINGS AND SYSTEMS SHALL
 BE TOTAL REPLACEMENT VALUE TO INCLUDE STRUCTURAL,
 ELECTRIC, PLUMBING, MECHANICAL, INTERIOR FINISH,
 RELATIVE SITE WORK, ARCHITECTURAL AND DESIGN FEES,
 MARKETING COSTS, OVERHEAD AND PROFIT; EXCLUDING
 ONLY LAND VALUE. VALUATION REFERENCES MAY INCLUDE THE
 LATEST PUBLISHED DATA OF NATIONAL CONSTRUCTION
 COST ANALYSIS SERVICES (MARSHALL-SWIFT, MEANS, ETC.),
 AS PUBLISHED BY INTERNATIONAL CODE CONGRESS.
 FINAL BUILDING PERMIT VALUATION SHALL BE SET BY THE
 BUILDING OFFICIAL.
  
 2) THE STRUCTURE IS LOCATED IN A SPECIAL FLOOD HAZARD
 AREA ( A9 , ELEVATION 13 FEET ). THE ELEVATION OF THE
 LOWEST FLOOR IS REQUIRED TO BE 13.5 FEET (INCLUDING THE
 6" FREEBOARD REQUIRED BY CITY ORDINANCE). IF THE VALUE
 OF THE IMPROVEMENTS EXCEED 50 PERCENT OF THE STRUCTURES
 VALUE, THE BUILDING WILL BE REQUIRED TO COMPLY WITH THE
 FLOOD ORDINANCE. NOTE: THE PALM BEACH COUNTY PROPERTY
 APPRAISER VALUES THE STRUCTURE AT $58,037.00.
  
 3) A ROOFING SUB- PERMIT AND PRODUCT APPROVALS FOR THE
 NEW SHED ROOF WILL BE REQUIRED. DCA RULE 9N-3. SUBMIT
 TWO SETS OF SIGNED AND SEALED RAS 117 CALCULATIONS IF
 REQUIRED BY THE PRODUCT APPROVAL FOR ENHANCED FASTENING
 AT THE PERIMETER AND CORNER ROOF AREAS. ( THE ROOFING
 PRODUCT APPROVALS WILL BE SUBMITTED UNDER SEPARATE
 PERMIT PER NOTE ON RESUBMITTAL FORM. )
  
 4) SPECIFY THE OVERHANG, SOFFIT MATERIAL AND EAVE VENTS
 FOR THE NEW SHED ROOF. CITY AMENDMENTS 107.2
  
 5) SUBMIT TWO COPIES OF AN INSTALLATION SCHEDULE FOR
 THE STORM PANELS. SPECIFY THE MOUNTING METHOD, THE
 FASTENERS, FASTENER SPACING, SPANS, ETC. FBC R301.2.1
 THE INSTALLATION SCHEDULE THAT WAS SUBMITTED IS NOT
 CORRECT.
  
 6) SPECIFY THE SIZES AND TYPES OF EXTERIOR DOORS AND
 WINDOWS ON THE PLANS. INDICATE IF THERE ARE ANY
 OPENINGS WITH MULTIPLE WINDOWS THAT ARE CONNECTED WITH
 STRUCTURAL MULLIONS.
  
 7) SUBMIT TWO SETS OF PRODUCT APPROVALS FOR THE
 STRUCTURAL MULLIONS IF ANY WILL BE USED. DCA RULE 9N-3
  
 8) ( COMPLIED ) SUBMIT A CURRENT PRODUCT APPROVAL FOR
 THE SINGLE HUNG WINDOWS. THE ONE THAT WAS SUBMITTED
 (NOA NO. 09-0121.24) IS EXPIRED.
  
 9) SPECIFY THE WIND DESIGN DATA (WI ND SPEED, EXPOSURE
 CATEGORY AND MEAN ROOF HEIGHT) ON THE PLANS.
  
 10) SPECIFY THE DESIGN CRITERIA THAT IS BEING USED TO
 DETERMINE THAT THE STRUCTURAL REPAIRS TO THE DWELLING
 WILL ADEQUATELY MEET ALL LATERAL AND GRAVITY LOADS.
  
 11) SPECIFY THE OPENING PRESSURES FOR THE EXTERIOR
 DOORS AND WINDOWS ON THE PLANS.
  
 12) SPECIFY THE SIZE OF THE SILL BEAM ON THE PLANS.
 CLARIFY IF THE CONCRETE SHOWN BELOW THE SILL BEAM IN
 THE SECTION IS A CONTINOUS STEM WALL OR INDIVIDUAL
 PIERS. CITY AMENDMENTS 107.2.1 ( THE PLANS WERE REVISED
 TO SPECIFY THAT THE SILL IS SUPPORTED BY PIERS. THE
 SPACING OF THE PIERS IS REQUIRED TO DETERMINE IF THE 6
 X 6 SILL BEAM IS CAPABLE OF SPANNING THE OPENING
 BETWEEN PIERS. )
  
 13) ( COMPLIED ) THE NAME AND SIGNATURE OF THE PERSON
 RESPONSIBLE FOR THE DESIGN IS REQUIRED ON THE PLANS.

 14) THE PRODUCT APPROVALS ARE REQUIRED TO BE REVIEWED
 AND APPROVED BY THE DESIGNER OF RECORD FOR THE PROJECT.

 15) ( COMPLIED, HOWEVER, THE LETTER FROM THE CONTRACTOR
 STATES THAT THE OWNER IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE DECK. IF
 THAT IS THE CASE THE PLANS SHOULD BE REMOVED FROM THIS
 SUBMITTAL AND SUBMITTED BY THE OWNER UNDER A SEPARATE
 PERMIT.) THE PLANS INDICATE THAT THE EXISTING DECK IS
 TO BE REPLACED WITH A NEW 8' X ? PT DECK. PROVIDE
 STRUCTURAL DETAILS FOR THE NEW DECK. CITY AMENDMENTS

 16) THE SIMPSON CONNECTORS ARE REQUIRED TO BE USED WITH
 THE FASTENERS THAT ARE SPECIFIED BY SIMPSON IN THE
 CATALOG OR PRODUCT APPROVALS. THE HGAM 10 CONNECTOR HAS
 TAPCONS AND WOOD SCREWS SPECIFIED. SIMPSON TITEN HD
 SCREW ANCHORS AND SDS SCREWS ARE REQUIRED. DCA RULE
 9N-3 AND THE MANUFACTURER.
  
 NOTE: PLEASE PROVIDE A RESPONSE LETTER INDICATING HOW
 EACH OF THE REVIEW ITEMS HAS BEEN ADDRESSED.
