 1B) THE OCCUPANT LOAD FOR THE DAYCARE OCCUPANCY IS
 BEING FIGURED AT 35 SQ FT IN THE CLASSROOMS, NOTE THIS
 IS A STATE REQUIREMENT. YOU WILL NEED TO MAKE A DUAL
 OCCUPANT LOAD UP ONE FOR THE STATE REQUIREMENTS AND ONE
 FOR THE 2010 FBC-B TABLE 1004.1.1 DAYCARE OCCUPANCIES
 AT 20 SQ./ OCCUPANT. THIS LOAD WILL INCREASE THE OVER
 ALL OCCUPANT LOAD AND POSSIBLE PLUMBING FIXTURE COUNT.

 AND THE MULTI-PURPOSE ROOM EACH HAVING A OCCUPANT LOAD

 GYPSUM WALLBOARD ON ONE SIDE (THE SMOKE SIDE) OF THE
 PARTITION OR MUST WALLBOARD BE INSTALLED ON BOTH SIDES,
 EXTENDING FROM
 FOUNDATION OR FLOOR TO THE UNDERSIDE OF THE FLOOR OR
 ROOF SHEATHING, DECK OR SLAB ABOVE?
 COMMENT:
 NONE.
 ANSWER:
 YES. ONE LAYER OF GYPSUM ON ONE SIDE IS ACCEPTABLE BUT
 THE OTHER SIDE CANNOT REMAIN OPEN. IT MUST BE ENCLOSED
 WITH MATERIAL
 "PERMITTED BY THE BUILDING TYPE OF CONSTRUCTION". THE
 WALL MUST BE ENCLOSED FROM BOTH SIDES TO PREVENT SMOKE
 MIGRATION FROM
 EITHER SIDE. THE SPACE AROUND PENETRATING ITEMS AND IN
 JOINTS SHALL BE FILLED WITH AN APPROVED MATERIAL TO
 LIMIT THE FREE PASSAGE
 OF SMOKE. THE WALL MAY HAVE ELECTRICAL BOXES OR OTHER
 PENETRATIONS THAT CAN ALLOW SMOKE TO MIGRATE FROM THE
