 1) 2010 WEST PALM BEACH AMENDMENTS TO THE FLORIDA
 BUILDING CODE, CHAPTER 1, ADMINISTRATION, 2010 107.3.5
 MINIMUM PLAN REVIEW CRITERIA FOR BUILDINGS. THE
 EXAMINATION OF THE DOCUMENTS BY THE BUILDING OFFICIAL
 SHALL INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING MINIMUM CRITERIA AND
 DOCUMENTS:
 107.3.5.1 COMMERCIAL BUILDINGS: 107.3.5.1.3 PLUMBING
 SANITARY DRAINAGE
 VENTS
 ROOF DRAINAGE
 SAND INTERCEPTOR OR TRAPS
 ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS
 PLUMBING RISER
  
 2A) SHEET P-2.1.1.A INDICATES A 8 INCH PIPE FOR GARAGE
 DRAINAGE TO SAND FILTER SEE CIVIL DWGS, COMPLY WITH
 2010 FBC-P 1003.1 WHERE REQUIRED. INTERCEPTORS AND
 SEPARATORS SHALL BE PROVIDED TO PREVENT THE DISCHARGE
 OF OIL, GREASE, SAND AND OTHER SUBSTANCES HARMFUL OR
 HAZARDOUS TO THE BUILDING DRAINAGE SYSTEM, THE PUBLIC
 SEWER, THE PRIVATE SEWAGE DISPOSAL SYSTEM OR THE SEWAGE
 TREATMENT PLANT OR PROCESSES.
  
 2B) 1003.11 (IPC 1003.5) SAND INTERCEPTORS IN
 COMMERCIAL ESTABLISHMENTS. SAND AND SIMILAR
 INTERCEPTORS FOR HEAVY SOLIDS SHALL BE DESIGNED AND
 LOCATED SO AS TO BE PROVIDED WITH READY ACCESS FOR
 CLEANING,AND SHALL HAVE A WATER SEAL OF NOT LESS THAN 6
 INCHES (152 MM).
  
 2C) THE PLANS INDICATE PART OF THE GARAGE FLOOR DRAINS
 (GD) EMPTYING INTO A 8" PIPE TO THE SAND FILTER AND
 ALSO A 10 INCH THAT EMPTIES INTO A 15 INCH RWL TO
 STORM?
  
 2D) THIS MAY BE A FOUNDATION PERMIT BUT THE ROOF
 DRAINAGE IS SIZED FROM THE ROOF AREA AND 1/2 OF THE
 HEIGHT OF THE PARAET WALLS, THE PLANS ALSO FAIL TO
 PROVIDE THE CRITERIA FOR SIZING OF THE ROOF DRAINAGE,
 2010 FBC-P 1106.1 WITH OUT THIS INFORMATION WE CAN NOT
 BE SURE THE CONDUCTORS ARE SIZED PROPERLY. 100 YEAR 1
 HOUR RAIN FALL 4,5 INCHES.
  
 3) THE SANITARY PLUMBING ISOMETRIC SHEET P-2.1.1.A FOR
 THE WASHING MACHINES ON THE PLUMBING RISERS IDENTIFIED
 AS 7, 42 & 50 APPEAR TO HAVE FLIPPED THELABELING OF THE
 2" AND 3 " PIPES BACKWARDS THAT WOULD BE REDUCING THE
 SIZE OF THE VENT FROM 3 INCH TO 2 INCH.
  
 4) THE STRUCTURAL SHEET S-2.0 DETAIL # 6 INDICATES THE
 USE OF A ELEVATOR PIT AND SUMP, PLEASE PROVIDE
 COMPLIANCE WITH 2010 FBC-P 1003.4 OIL SEPARATORS
 REQUIRED.
 AT REPAIR GARAGES, CAR-WASHING FACILITIES, AT FACTORIES
 WHERE OILY AND FLAMMABLE LIQUID WASTES ARE PRODUCED AND
 IN HYDRAULIC ELEVATOR PITS, SEPARATORS SHALL BE
 INSTALLED INTO WHICH ALL OIL-BEARING, GREASE-BEARING OR
 FLAMMABLE WASTES SHALL BE DISCHARGED BEFORE EMPTYING
 INTO THE BUILDING DRAINAGE SYSTEM OR OTHER POINT OF
 DISPOSAL.
  
 EXCEPTION: AN OIL SEPARATOR IS NOT REQUIRED IN
 HYDRAULIC ELEVATOR PITS WHERE AN APPROVED ALARM SYSTEM
 IS INSTALLED.
  
 5) THE PLANS INDICATE THE USE OF FLOOR DRAINS IN THE
 GARAGE, FIRE PUMP ROOM, DOMESTIC PUMP ROOM AND TREASH
 ROOMS WITH OUT THE USE OF TRAP PRIMER VALVES. 2010
 FBC-P
 1002.4 TRAP SEALS.
 EACH FIXTURE TRAP SHALL HAVE A LIQUID SEAL OF NOT LESS
 THAN 2 INCHES (51 MM) AND NOT MORE THAN 4 INCHES (102
 MM), OR DEEPER FOR SPECIAL DESIGNS RELATING TO
 ACCESSIBLE FIXTURES. WHERE A TRAP SEAL IS SUBJECT TO
 LOSS BY EVAPORATION, A TRAP SEAL PRIMER VALVE SHALL BE
 INSTALLED. TRAP SEAL PRIMER VALVES SHALL CONNECT TO THE
 TRAP AT A POINT ABOVE THE LEVEL OF THE TRAP SEAL. A
 TRAP SEAL PRIMER VALVE SHALL CONFORM TO ASSE 1018 OR
 ASSE 1044.
  
 6) PLEASE NOTE SHOWER ARE BASED ONTHE TOTAL FLOW RATE
 THROUGH SHOWER HEADS AND BODY SPRAYS A 2 INCH TRAP WILL
 ALLOW FOR 5.7 GPM TO 12.3 GPM PER FBC-P TABLE 709.1. NO
 ACTION IS REQUIRED, JUST INFORMATIONAL.
  
 7) WHEN RESUBMITTING PLANS PLEASE INDICATE THE REVISION
 & REMOVE & REPLACE ANY PAGES AS NECESSARY. A
 TRANSMITTAL LETTER LISTING THE ORIGINAL REVIEW COMMENT
 NUMBER, WITH A DESCRIPTION OF THE REVISION MADE,
 IDENTIFYING THE SHEET OR SPECIFICATION PAGE WHERE THE
 CHANGES CAN BE FOUND WILL HELP TO EXPEDITE YOUR PERMIT.
