 FIXTURE COUNT WILL REQUIRE 1 UNDER THE 2010
 FBC-PLUMBING TABLE 403.1 AND FOOTNOTE E WOULD REQUIRE
 YOU TO GO TO THE ACCESSIBLITY CODE THAT WOULD REQUIRE A
 HIGH AND LOW.

 QUESTION:
 IS IT THE INTENT OF SECTION 909.1 WET VENTING TO
 EXCLUDE URINALS AS A FIXTURE TO BE ALLOW AS PART OF A
 WET
 VENTED SYSTEM?
 ANSWER:
 NO. WET VENTING RELIES ON LOW FLOW VELOCITY, LOW FLOW
 RATES, AND LOW PROBABILITY OF SIMULTANEOUS
 DISCHARGE. FOR THAT REASON, WET VENTING IS LIMITED TO
 TWO BATHROOM GROUPS, LOCATED ON THE SAME FLOOR LEVEL.
 ALTHOUGH A BATHROOM GROUP BY DEFINITION DOES NOT
 INCLUDE URINALS, URINALS MAY BE REGARDED AS SIMILAR IN
 FUNCTION TO WATER CLOSETS (SEE 419.2), AND THEY PLACE
 LESS RELATIVE LOAD ON THE DRAINAGE SYSTEM. URINALS, AS
 WELL AS EMERGENCY FLOOR DRAINS AND DRINKING FOUNTAINS,
 MAY BE INCLUDED IN A WET VENT SYSTEM, WITHIN THE
 LIMITS OF TABLE 909.3. PLEASE NOTE! 12/17/2003-UPON
 CHALLENGE AND FURTHER REVIEW
 THIS INTERPRETATION IS MODIFIED AS FOLLOWS: 1) THE CODE
 PERMITS WET VENTING OF BATHROOM
 GROUPS, 2) THE DEFINITION OF A BATHROOM GROUP DOES NOT
 SPECIFICALLY INCLUDE A URINAL, THEREFORE 3) A URINAL
 MAY NOT BE A PART OF A WET VENT SYSTEM.
 COMMENTARY:
 KITCHEN SINKS, WASHING MACHINES AND SIMILAR HIGHER
 VOLUME FIXTURES WOULD NOT BE PERMITTED ON A WET VENT
 SYSTEM, AND WOULD HAVE TO DISCHARGE DOWNSTREAM OF THE
 WET VENT. 12/17/2003-COMMENTARY
 MODIFICATION: PROPERLY SIZED WET VENTING RESULTS IN
 ADEQUATE AIRFLOW IN THE WET-VENTED PIPE TO
 PREVENT THE FIXTURES FROM BEING SUBJECT TO SIPHONAGE OR
 BACKPRESSURE (PLUS OR MINUS 1-INCH OF WATER
 COLUMN). THE ORIGINAL INTERPRETATION MET THE INTENT, IF
 NOT THE LETTER, OF THE CODE SINCE URINALS HAVE, FOR A
 NUMBER OF YEARS NOW, BEEN LIMITED TO 1 GALLON PER
 FLUSHING CYCLE. AS LONG AS THE WET VENT IS LIMITED TO
 TWO
 BATHROOM GROUPS, THERE IS PROBABLY NO FIELD
 CONFIGURATION CONTAINING A URINAL THAT WOULD POSE A
 PROBLEM
 BUT STRICT APPLICATION OF THE CODE WILL NOT ALLOW IT.
  
 4A) PLEASE PROVIDE COMPLIANCE WITH 2010 FBC-B 503.7
 PROTECTION AGAINST DECAY AND TERMITES. CONDENSATE LINES
 AND ROOF DOWNSPOUTS SHALL DISCHARGE AT LEAST 1 FOOT
 (305 MM) AWAY FROM THE STRUCTURE SIDEWALL, WHETHER BY
 UNDERGROUND PIPING, TAIL EXTENSIONS, OR SPLASH BLOCKS.
 GUTTERS WITH DOWNSPOUTS ARE REQUIRED ON ALL BUILDINGS
 WITH EAVES OF LESS THAN 6 INCHES (152 MM) HORIZONTAL
 PROJECTION EXCEPT FOR GABLE END RAKES OR ON A ROOF
 ABOVE ANOTHER ROOF.
  
 4B) PROVIDE ROOF CALCULATIONS FOR ROOF DRAINAGE USING
 THE 100-YEAR HOURLY RAINFALL RATE INDICATED IN 2010
 FBC-P FIGURE 1106.1 OR ON OTHER RAINFALL RATES
 DETERMINED FROM APPROVED LOCAL WEATHER DATA.
  
 4C) 2010 FBC-P 1106.6 SIZE OF ROOF GUTTERS.
 THE SIZE OF SEMICIRCULAR GUTTERS SHALL BE BASED ON THE
 MAXIMUM PROJECTED ROOF AREA IN ACCORDANCE WITH TABLE
 1106.6.
  
 4D) 2010 FBC-P 1106.2 VERTICAL CONDUCTORS AND LEADERS.
 VERTICAL CONDUCTORS AND LEADERS SHALL BE SIZED FOR THE
 MAXIMUM PROJECTED ROOF AREA, IN ACCORDANCE WITH TABLES
 1106.2(1) AND 1106.2(2).
  
 WHEN RESUBMITTING PLANS PLEASE INDICATE THE REVISION &
 REMOVE & REPLACE ANY PAGES AS NECESSARY. A TRANSMITTAL
 LETTER LISTING THE ORIGINAL REVIEW COMMENT NUMBER, WITH
 A DESCRIPTION OF THE REVISION MADE, IDENTIFYING THE
 SHEET OR SPECIFICATION PAGE WHERE THE CHANGES CAN BE
