 DENIED BY BUILDING
  
 1) PLAN SHEET A-3 SPECIFIES A NEW ASPHALT SHINGLE ROOF
 OVER HOT MOPPED 15# FELT ON A LOW SLOPE ROOF THAT
 APPEARS TO BE LESS THAN A 2 : 12 SLOPE. SPECIFY THE
 ROOF SLOPE ON THE PLANS AND PROVIDE PRODUCT APPROVALS
 FOR THE ROOF ASSEMBLY AS REQUIRED BY DCA RULE 9N-3. THE
 MINIMUM SLOPE FOR ASPHALT SHINGLES IS 2 : 12 PER FBC
 R905.2.2.
  
 2) THE TWO (2) NEW SH24 SINGLE HUNG WINDOWS THAT ARE
 SPECIFIED FOR THE PROPOSED SECOND FLOOR BEDROOM THAT
 WILL BE CONVERTED FROM THE EXISTING PORCH DO NOT COMPLY
 WITH FBC R310 FOR THE REQUIRED EMERGENCY ESCAPE AND
 RESCUE OPENING.
  
 3) SUBMIT TWO (2) COPIES OF PRODUCT APPROVALS FOR THE
 SINGLE HUNG WINDOWS, THE STRUCTURAL MULLION BETWEEN
 THEM AND THE STRUCTURAL FRAMING CONNECTORS AS REQUIRED
 BY DCA RULE 9N-3.
  
 4) ALL PRODUCT APPROVALS SUBMITTED TO THE CITY OF WEST
 PALM BEACH ARE REQUIRED TO BE REVIEWED AND APPROVED IN
 WRITING BY THE DESIGNER OF RECORD. CITY AMENDMENTS

 5) THE WALL SECTION ON SHEET A-3 OF THE PLANS SHOWS A 2
 X 6 WOOD FRAME SINGLE ASSEMBLY ROOF/CEILING WITH R-30
 BATT INSULATION. THE MINIMUM THICKNESS FOR R-30 BATT
 INSULATION IS 8-1/4" AND FBC R806.3 REQUIRES A MINIMUM
 1-INCH AIR SPACE BETWEEN THE ROOF SHEATHING AND THE
 INSULATION. FBC R806.1 REQUIRES EACH ENCLOSED RAFTER
 SPACE TO BE VENTED. SHOW COMPLIANCE WITH FBC R 806 OR
 PROVIDE A DESIGN IN COMPLIANCE WITH FBC R806.4 FOR AN
 UNVENTED ATTIC ASSEMBLY.
  
 6) FBC R 703.6.3 REQUIRES A BOND BREAK BETWEEN THE
 EXTERIOR WALL STUCCO AND THE WATER-RESISTIVE BARRIER
 REQUIRED BY FBC R703.2.
  
 7) ON SHEET PE-1 THE GARAGE FLOOR PLAN HAS A NOTE AT
 THE METER LOCATION STATING THAT THERE IS AN EXISTING
 125 AMP MAIN HOUSE DISCONNECT IN EXISTING 1/2" CONDUIT
 TO THE MAIN HOUSE PANEL. THE MAIN HOUSE HAS A 200 AMP
 PANEL. PLEASE CLARIFY. NEC 230 IV AND VI
  
 8) ONE OF THE REVISED PLANS WILL BE REQUIRED TO BE
 SIGNED OUT AND TAKEN TO PALM BEACH COUNTY FOR AN IMPACT
 FEE REVIEW. THE PLAN WITH THE IMPACT REVIEW STAMP AND A
 COPY OF THE PAID IMPACT FEE RECEIPT IS TO BE RETURNED
 TO THE CITY BUILDING DEPARTMENT.
  
 9) A SMOKE ALARM IS REQUIRED OUTSIDE THE SLEEPING AREA
 IN THE IMMEDIATE AREA OF THE BEDROOMS PER FBC R314.3
 AND A CARBON MONOXIDE DETECTOR IS REQUIRED WITHIN TEN
 FEET OF EACH SLEEPING ROOM PER FBC R315.
  
 PLEASE SUBMIT A RESPONSE LETTER WHEN RESUBMITTING THIS
 REVISON, INDICATING HOW EACH OF THE REVIEW COMMENTS WAS
 ADDRESSED.
