 DENIED BY BUILDING
  
 1) THE STRUCTURE IS LOCATED IN A SPECIAL FLOOD HAZARD
 AREA ( FLOOD ZONE A5 ). THE REQUIRED FINISH FLOOR
 ELEVATION IS 7'-6". BASED ON FEMA REGULATIONS AND THE
 CITY OF WEST PALM BEACH MUNICIPAL CODE THIS ADDITION IS
 CONSIDERED A SUBSTANTIAL IMPROVEMENT. (THE VALUE OF THE
 PROPOSED WORK PLUS PREVIOUS WORK DONE TO THE STRUCTURE
 EXCEEDS 50 PER CENT OF THE APPRAISED VALUE OF THE
 STRUCTURE ($ 69,910.00 PER PBC PROPERTY APPRAISER).
 THEREFORE, THE ADDITION, THE EXISTING STRUCTURE AND THE
 EQUIPMENT SERVING THEM ARE REQUIRED TO BE AT OR ABOVE
 THE BASE FLOOD ELEVATION OF 7'-6". SPECIFY THE FINISHED
 FLOOR ELEVATIONS OF THE EXISTING STRUCTURE AND THE
 PROPOSED ADDITION ON THE PLANS. IF THE ELEVATIONS ARE
 BELOW THE REQUIRED MINIMUM 7'-6" BFE INDICATE HOW THIS
 ISSUE WILL BE ADDRESSED.
  
 2) THE ENGINEER'S SEAL THAT WAS USED IS NOT ACCEPTABLE.
 AS OF JANUARY 1, 2002, THE WORD CERTIFICATE WAS
 REQUIRED TO BE REPLACED BY THE WORD LICENSE. FAC
 61G15-23.001
  
 3) THE ONLY ENGINEER'S NAME THAT APPEARS IN THE TITLE
 BLOCK ON SHEET 4 OF THE PLANS IS RICK BOYETTE.
 THEREFORE, HE SHOULD SIGN AND SEAL THAT SHEET AS THE
 DESIGNER OF RECORD FOR THE SCOPE OF WORK INDICATED ON
 THAT SHEET. FAC 61G-15-23.002
  
 4) THE EXPOSURE CATEGORY THAT IS SPECIFIED ON THE PLANS
 IS INCORRECT. BECAUSE THE STRUCTURE IS LOCATED ON THE
 INTER-COASTAL WATERWAY IT IS EXPOSURE CATEGORY D. FBCR

 5) THE COMPONENT AND CLADDING PRESSURES IN THE SCHEDULE
 ON SHEETS 1 AND 2 NEED TO BE REVISED TO COMPLY WITH

 6) PROVIDE A STRUCTURAL DETAIL FOR THE EXTERIOR DOOR
 OPENINGS THAT ARE TO BE FRAMED-IN WHEN THE GARAGE IS

 7) THERE IS CONFLICTING INFORMATION ON THE PLANS FOR
 THE ROOF COVERING. THE ELEVATION DRAWINGS ON SHEETS 1

 SHEET 7 SPECIFY ASPHALT SHINGLES. PLEASE CLARIFY. CITY

 8) SUBMIT TWO SETS OF PRODUCT APPROVALS FOR THE ROOF
 COVERING MATERIAL AS REQUIRED BY DCA RULE 9N-3. IF
 CEMENT S-TILE IS USED INDICATE THE METHOD OF ATTACHMENT
 THAT WILL BE USED TO INSTALL THE TILE IS CAPABLE OF
 RESISTING THE REQUIRED OVERTURN MOMENT. FBCR 905.3 IF
 AN ADHESIVE PRODUCT WILL BE USED, SUBMIT TWO COPIES OF
 ITS' PRODUCT APPROVAL.
  
 9) SPECIFY THE CONNECTORS THAT WILL BE USED TO SECURE
