 RESPONSE COMMENT: STILL COULD NOT LOCATE A FLOOR DRAIN
 IN THE PUMP ROOM.
 SHEET P2.1: NO FLOOR DRAIN PROVIDED IN FIRE PUMP ROOM.
  
 RESPONSE COMMENT: THIS REQUIREMENT IS TO BE COORDINATED
 BETWEEN THE ELECTRICAL ENGINEER AND THE FIRE PROTECTION
 ENGINEER, NOT THE ELEVATOR VENDOR.
 SHEET E2_15: PLANS DO NOT INDICATE THE METHOD (HEAT
 DETECTOR/FLOW SWITCH WITHOUT TIME DELAY) USED TO SHUNT
 TRIP POWER TO THE ELEVATOR IN THE EVENT AN AUTOMATIC
 SPRINKLER ACTIVATES IN THE ELEVATOR MACHINE ROOM.
  
  
 NEW COMMENTS:
  
 SHEET FP-1: HIGH-RISE BUILDINGS WITH REQUIRED FIRE
 PUMPS SHALL BE SUPPLIED BY CONNECTIONS TO A MINIMUM OF
 TWO WATER MAINS LOCATED IN DIFFERENT STREETS. SEPARATE
 SUPPLY PIPING SHALL BE PROVIDED BETWEEN EACH CONNECTION
 TO THE WATER MAIN AND THE PUMPS. EACH CONNECTION AND
 THE SUPPLY PIPING BETWEEN THE CONNECTION AND THE PUMPS
 SHALL BE SIZED TO SUPPLY THE FLOW AND PRESSURE REQUIRED
 FOR THE PUMPS TO OPERATE. THE EXCEPTION INDICATES TWO
 CONNECTIONS TO THE SAME MAIN SHALL BE PERMITTED
 PROVIDED THE MAIN IS VALVED SUCH THAT AN INTERRUPTION
 CAN BE ISOLATED SO THAT THE WATER SUPPLY WILL CONTINUE
 WITHOUT INTERRUPTION THROUGH AT LEAST ONE OF THE
 CONNECTIONS.
  
 SHEET FP-1: HIGH-RISE BUILDINGS SHALL BE PROVIDED WITH
 TWO FIRE DEPARTMENT CONNECTIONS (FDC) REMOTELY LOCATED
 FROM EACHOTHER PER NFPA 14. FDCS SHALL BE LOCATED
 WITHIN 150 FEET OF A FIRE HYDRANT.
  
 SHEET FP-1: FOR COMBINATION FIRE LINE/DOMESTIC WATER
 LINE, INDICATE THE EXPECTED MAXIMUM DOMESTIC WATER
 DEMAND (PLUMBING & IRRIGATION) THAT MAY AFFECT THE FLOW
 AVAILABLE FOR THE FIRE PROTECTION SYSTEMS. ADJUST
 HYDRAULIC CALCULATIONS TO ACCOUNT FOR THIS REDUCTION IN
 FLOW.
