 NOTE: UNLESS NOTED OTHERWISE, ALL FIRE/LIFE SAFETY
 REVIEW COMMENTS REFERENCE NFPA 101-THE LIFE SAFETY CODE
 (2009 EDITION WITH FLORIDA AMENDMENTS.)
  
 GENERAL: PROVIDE DRAWING NOTE INDICATING ALL
 CONSTRUCTION AND DEMOLITION WORK SHALL CONFORM TO THE
 REQUIREMENTS OF NFPA 241. TRASH AND CONSTRUCTION DEBRIS
 SHALL BE REMOVED FROM THE SITE DAILY. SMOKING SHALL BE
 PROHIBITED EXCEPT IN DESIGNATED EXTERIOR AREAS. ALL
 OTHER DEMOLITION OR CONSTRUCTION AREAS SHALL HAVE "NO
 SMOKING" SIGNS POSTED. WHERE SMOKING IS PERMITTED, SAFE
 RECEPTACLES FOR SMOKING MATERIALS SHALL BE PROVIDED.
  
 GENERAL: PROVIDE AN EXTERIOR KEY SAFE TO ALLOW
 EMERGENCY RESPONDERS NON-FORCIBLE ENTRY INTO THE
 BUILDING DURING NON-BUSINESS HOURS. A KEY SAFE CAN BE
 ORDERED FROM WWW.KNOXBOX.COM.
  
 SHEET LS1.1: PER SECTION 12.2.5.1.2, A DEAD-END IN AN
 ASSEMBLY OCCUPANCY SHALL NOT EXCEED 20 FEET AND THE
 COMMON PATH OF TRAVEL SHALL NOT EXCEED 20 FEET WHEN THE
 PATH SERVES MORE THAN 50 OCCUPANTS.
  
 SHEET A7.2.1.: THE STAIR GUARDRAIL DOES NOT APPEAR TO
 BE AT LEAST 42-INCHES TALL.

 GENERAL: EVERY ASSEMBLY OCCUPANCY ROOM NOT HAVING FIXED
 SEATS SHALL HAVE THE OCCUPANT LOAD OF THE ROOM POSTED
 IN A CONSPICUOUS PLACE NEAR THE MAIN EXIT FROM THE
 ROOM. SIGNS SHALL BE DURABLE AND INDICATE THE NUMBER OF
 OCCUPANTS PERMITTED FOR EACH ROOM.
  
 SPRINKLER: PER FLORIDA ADMINISTRATIVE CODE SECTION
 61G15-32.004, FIRE PROTECTION ENGINEERING DOCUMENTS
 SHALL INCLUDE THE POINT OF SERVICE FOR THE WATER
 SUPPLY, A LIST OF APPLICABLE NFPA STANDARDS APPLICABLE
 TO THE PROJECT, CLASSIFICATION OF HAZARD OCCUPANCY FOR
 EACH ROOM OR AREA, SUPPRESSION SYSTEM TYPE, DESIGN
 DENSITIES, WATER SUPPLY DATA (FIRE PUMP DATA, HYDRANT
 FLOW TEST DATA) AND ANY PERFORMANCE BASED INFORMATION
 SUCH AS PRE-ENGINEERED SYSTEMS.
  
 SPRINKLER: INDICATE THE LOCATION AND DISTANCE TO THE
 NEAREST FIRE HYDRANT.
  
 SPRINKLER: FOR A FULLY SPRINKLERED BUILDING, A CLASS I
 FIRE PROTECTION STANDPIPE IS REQUIRED WHEN THE FLOOR
 LEVEL OF THE HIGHEST STORY IS LOCATED MORE THAN 30 FEET
 ABOVE THE LOWEST LEVEL OF FIRE DEPARTMENT VEHICHLE
 ACCESS.
  
 SHEET FS1.1: ALL THE FIRE SPRINKLER FLOOR PLANS ARE
 INDICATED AS "FIRE ALARM PLANS."
  
 SHEET E4.1: ALL THREE FLOOR PLANS ARE EXACTLY THE SAME.
  
 FIRE ALARM: PER SECTION 12.3.4.3.3, PROVIDE
 SPEAKER/STROBE NOTIFICATION APPLIANCES AS ASSEMBLY
 OCCUPANCIES WITH AN OCCUPANT LOAD EXCEEDING 300
 OCCUPANTS SHALL RECEIVE FIRE ALARM NOTIFICATION BY
 VISIBLE SIGNALS AND VOICE ANNOUNCEMENTS.
  
 FIRE ALARM: PROVIDE A PRE-RECORDED FIRE ALARM
 EVACUATION MESSAGE NOTIFYING OCCUPANTS AN EMERGENCY HAS
 BEEN REPORTED IN THE BUILDING, LOCATE THE NEAREST EXIT,
 AND EXIT THE BUILDING IMMEDIATELY. DO NOT USE THE
 ELEVATOR.
  
 FIRE ALARM: INDICATE THE LOCATION OF THE FACP. NEW FIRE
 ALARM SYSTEMS SHALL BE FULLY ADDRESSABLE. A CERTIFICATE
 OF COMPLETION AND A THIRD PARTY MONITORING/VERIFICATION
 (UL OR ETL) CERTIFICATE SHALL BE PROVIDED AT TIME OF
 FINAL FIRE ALARM INSPECTION. PER LOCAL AHJ POLICY, DUCT
 SMOKE DETECTORS SHALL INITIATE A GENERAL FIRE ALARM
 CONDITION. ELEVATOR RECALL SHALL BE INTERFACED WITH
 FIRE ALARM SYSTEM.
  
 ELEVATOR: PER SECTION 9.4.3 - FIRE FIGHTERS EMERGENCY
 OPERATIONS: ALL NEW ELEVATORS SHALL CONFORM TO THE FIRE
 FIGHTERS EMERGENCY OPERATIONS REQUIREMENTS OF ASME
 A17.1/CSA B44, SAFETY CODE FOR ELEVATORS AND
 ESCALATORS.
